My beloved Catherines favorite song..i put my phone by her ear as she was dying from Alizheimers to listen..i miss her dearly..she passed away 2 days after our 61st anniversity..hope to see her soon..
your comment made me cry... I am thinking of my mother who passed from Alzheimers. I am sure Catherine loved it and recognized it, What a beautiful gesture. She is always with you, I promise.
Here I am again..it's been now 9 months since I lost my Beloved Catherine..and I am crying. .I miss her so very much my heart hurts..cannot wait to join her!
Who remembers Jonathan first coming out shyly, barely looking at the crowd in sweats and t-shirt on BGT? No one expected anything special, but look at looks are quite deceiving. He surprised us all. He is without a doubt extraordinary. He now looks so much more refined and confident. Jonathan may you continue to flourish professionally and personally.
A bit too confident, barely anyone can take this song, you cant just opera your way out of every song ;) I really like Jonathan, but compare this to the original ;] Too big of a song for him.
@@jimbe4mxl410 I respectfully disagree. Sometimes the song is to powerful for the man, sometimes the man is to powerful for the song. I do agree that he should probably leave this one for persons of lesser talent. It's a lovely tune but below him.
Look how much more confident he is compared to his debut on BGT! It's making me so emotional to see just how far he's come. He seems so at home on stage now, and his stage presence finally matches that incredible voice. Im so proud of him.
Have you heard/seen him sing “How Great Thou Art.” Phenomenal. Best performance by him I’ve ever seen. So far. He even has a subtle Elvis thing going on. It’s not an impression or anything like that. There seems to be something similar in their voices, their resonance, perhaps? Elvis had an operation sound when he sang certain slower songs. So check it out if you haven’t already.
They were correct in telling him that he needed to go out on his own without his sister. She would have held him back. Not to say she isn't talented, but he is truly gifted.
@@mtngrammy6953 His singing partner in BGT was Charlotte Jaconelli, not his sister, although they are both named Charlotte, so it has caused some confusion.
Jillyjills 1 ,He was a world class star the moment he started to sing on BGT as Simon Cowell said ,no need for say " that quiet bumbling lad, lacking in confidence " as that did not effect his singing in any way on that special night , when we first heard his God given voice , did you not see and hear the audience reaction .
If only this beautiful man knows how many hearts he heals with his voice. We should judge no one but on their works and beauty in all of it’s forms and wonder. Much love Johnathon you are a beautiful expression of human consciousness.
I bet he cant belive that scared 17 year old boy shaking on Britains got talent has turned in to this world class singer bringing joy to people with his outsanding voice.
yes he is a numble man,i remember when he and his sister performed in front of simom, and simon saying ,oh boy,,and jothanan was so scared,bu the knocked the socks off all who was there,,hes a gift
@@brendabowman4661 She is not his sister... They are friends. Their music teacher suggested they sing together. She is almost better than a sister, she was the reason he had the nerve to audition and she also protected him from haters.
@@brendabowman4661 Not his sister. Many people think she was as Jonathan actually has an older sister named Charotte. She's gorgeous and did some modeling before she started helping manage Jonathan's career.
I am a now 71 year old male....NEVER had a singer bring tears to my eyes with their very first 2 or 3 notes as Jonathan Antoine did when I saw the BGT video of his first appearance of Charlotte and him in tandem......and THEN had the presence of mind at the end, in spite of his obvious discomfort with the cameras and audience, to tell Simon that he and Charlotte came IN together and would continue ON together !! Only the lighted American flag going up high above darkness amid fireworks could fill your heart like that !! And this man sings so powerfully WITHOUT ANY DETECTABLE EFFORT at 17....he can COMMAND the stage as few performers !!
The look on his face when he hits the falsetto note. I love that he is still excited about what he is doing. I hope he never looses that. This young man is amazing!
Jonathan is a tenor, falsetto mean is a method of voice production used by male singers, especially tenors, to sing notes higher than their normal range.
Such a beautiful voice. Only a person with a beautiful heart could sing this classic song with such feeling. And yes, there is healing in just listening to this highly talented man. I hope and pray he will get the recognition he deserves.
I am so touched by this wonderful man's voice and the Beautiful song he sang which I will never forget I'm 80 years old and it brings back such sweet memories to me but I know can never be restored thank you Jonathan
My ex-husband died three months. We were best friends 38 years. We still loved each other. I close my eyes and danced with him cheek to cheek again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart you sing it beautiful.
After 50+ years of marriage, college sweethearts, UNCHAINDED MELODY was our song. My husband was challenged with cancer and he didn't overcome and passed in 2019. Today, 2024, was the first time, since my loves passing, I was able to hear UNCHAINDED MELODY, but, I still had tears in my eyes. You, my love, remain in my heart! ❤️
This rendition comes so close to my heart, that I always get tears in my eyes. Jonathan, you will always have a special place in my life. I am so lucky to be your fan, and I can promise all your fans a wonderful journey by following Jonathan on Facebook and here at RU-vid. ❤❤❤
There are many wonderful videos of Jonathan, from his 2019 Sold Out Toronto concerts filmed for American PBS TV. "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" "Compass" "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" "Summertime" "Moon River" "Parla Piu Piano" (The Godfather Theme) "Caruso" and more. His Home Performance of "Nessun Dorma" is Fantastic! Also, "Amazing Grace" "These Are the Special Times/Momenti Splendidi" and Newest Music Video, Jonathan singing "Io Si/Seen" per Grammy award winning composer Diane Warren's request! He sings the harmonies too. BEAUTIFUL!!! IT debuted at #1 on itunes Classical Chart.
This sent shivers down my spine, what an awesome performance from a now much more confident singer. You have come a long way since that first outing on BGT……bravo Jonathon 👏👏
@@carljacobson8342 Yes, I know and I've watched all of them, over and over. I also have the DVD of the concert he did in Toronto, it's wonderful to watch him singing Nessun Dorma at the end. Fabulous young man.
This lovely young man has yet to sing ANYTHING that did not give me goosebumps or make me cry. Johnathon - People say you are the "next Poverotti." I say you are the first, and one if a kind Johnathon Antoine. ❤️
Totally agree Kristie, while it is a compliment to compare him to Pavarotti as a singer, Jonthathan is unique and special in his own right, as a singer and human being.
Watch his 2 New Music Videos "Amazing Grace (Grazia)" and "These Are The Special Times (Momenti Splendidi)" beautiful both to watch and listen to. Both songs are from Jonathan's newest CD "Christmasland"
Chaque fois que je regarde cette vidéo de mon beau Jonathan je suis très émue qu’elle voix extraordinaire 😮les roses qu’ils lui sont lancers WoW il le mérite tellement je l’adore
I went from Mexico to Los Angeles to that concert, to meet, listen and see Jonathan and it really is one of the most wonderful things that happened to me, I met him after the concert at a dinner he gave and apart from being an excellent tenor, he is a beautiful human being, Jonathan is WONDERFUL
@@lilygonzalezmercado4779 Think I'm following you on Twitter ? RebekahBlackbirdOct.I remember Haydee speaking to you in Spanish. We were at the merchandise table. 😁
You know why that happens? I'll tell you what that is. First of all that voice gets your attention, because it's phenomenal. Then you notice that heart of gold. And you fall in love. And well, that's all she wrote 😁
@@samsteel2643 He could barely speak. He came in at the wrong place. He talked later about his social difficulties, mainly because of his weight. Obviously, when he got past this and really began to blast everyone was amazed. There was such contrast between the shy, awkward, hesitant beginning and the true outcome. A miracle what can happen when one person shares their gift!
I was there and literally crying so moving and beautiful simply perfect, for the person who didn't like it, how can you not!!!!!? Magnificent voice and great person had the pleasure to meet
A beautiful night in Thousand Oaks, which I will never forget. God bless the families of those lost in the recent tragedy, when will the madness end????
I almost didn't watch this, as I grew up with the original and I've not heard a cover that could touch The Righteous Brothers. You, sir, have changed my mind. Thank you for this and for sharing your gift. I am in awe. Namaste
Oh Jonathan, I never appreciated opera until you came along. I am 64 years old! I adore you and your talent. From Washington State, USA - December 27, 2021
George Orwell 1984 is better known for its story about government surveillance and control, but there's a part in it that reminds me of what you just said: She's beautiful,' he murmured. 'She's a metre across the hips, easily,' said Julia. 'That is her style of beauty,' said Winston.
George Smith. I agree with you. Maybe it's what I'm used to, maybe it's my age, but Bobby Hatfield's version of this song is Paramount. It's what I hear when I think of this song it is absolutely beautiful, beautiful. When I was listening to this song I had Bobby's version going through my mind and I could tell every Nuance of a difference when I heard Jonathan sing. It's not wrong it's not right it's just different. Two different voices. Very good.
@@r.mcbride2837 I agree with you. Completely different styles of singing it but definitely Bobby Hatfield seems to transport me back in time to days gone by.
Have you heard his cover of "Country Roads" from his Sold Out 2019 Toronto concerts, filmed for American PBS TV? From those same concerts "Compass" "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" "Summertime" "Moon River" "Caruso" the Disney lullaby "Baby Mine" and more, all are Fantastic!!! "How Great Thou Art" (his Mum's favorite hymn) from his 2020 Live streamed Christmas concert, there's a hint of Elvis to his voice and that last note is STUNNING!!! "Dein Ist Mein Ganzes Gerz" which he sings in German as a tribute to his dear friend Helga. Newer Music Video, Jonathan singing "Io Si/Seen" per Grammy award winning Diane Warren's request! He sings the harmonies too. BEAUTIFUL!!! It debuted at #1 on itunes Classical Chart. He sings all genre of Music Beautifully.
Passion cannot be faked. His voice is magnificent, but what then voice is combined with real deal passion it’s remarkable. It brings tears to your eyes.
@@phyllisbrackett9188 are you serious!! I was there, he was definitely feeling the song! He goes inside most songs when he sings them, they become part of him. Don't know if you understand what I mean by that or not but he is very genuine. ♥️
I remember watching his first audition on BGT, right there I fell in love with the guy and hoped and prayed for his success. He seemed like a person who really deserved it, and his voice should be shared with the world. Now, seeing how successful he's become, and the joy on his face when he performs... I can truly honestly say that I can't remember anything ever bringing me as much happiness in my life than the happiness I currently feel for Jonathan. Words just cannot describe how happy I am for this guy.
I also remember his first appearance and how Charlotte helped him through. We knew Jonathan was the talent but without her this could not have happened. They pushed past Simon and persevered. This is what success looks like. Just giving you a like was not enough I had to write an agreement. 👍👍
I thought so too. And that he was willing to leave and not abandon the young lady he was auditioning with that spoke volumes of his character. I hope he has that still today with all his fame
Me too, Eric! That audition is my favourite ever. Charlotte said to never judge book by it's cover and sadly Simon did when he saw them first. Jonathan's voice is one of the kind!
I agree with you 100%! I am even more convinced now after hearing him sing in Sydney, Australia, on December 16, 2023! Beyond Awesome at the Woolworth Carols of the Domain! Check out his version of 'O Holy Night' sung with the choirs on RU-vid videos! Heavenly to watch and listen. Jonathan Antoine truly owns the stage there in the well-deserved spotlight! I think that I have died and gone to Heaven! Thank You God! What a gift to the world & needed so badly right now too.
I'm so happy that Jonathan has found a career and making a success of his singing. His talent is a blessing to all who hear him. Take care of your health, Jonathan. We want you with us for many years to come.
Everytime I hear this song I get cold shivers. When I let my husband this was the first sing we danced to and it feels like yesterday. That was 64 years ago and I still love him so much.❤❤❤
Jonathan, is on the way to becoming one of the worlds greatest tenors. He owes so much to Charlotte Jaconelli, in his move from obscurity to national recognition.
Yes, if I had not been for Charlotte's caring and loyalty we may not be enjoying all the beautiful songs Jonathan is entertaining us with now. She was incredibly mature and wise for a 16 year old girl. I sincerely hope that she is enjoying what she is doing as she deserves to be successful in life.
He WAS in obscurity, but he was also 17. Charlotte gave him the strength to do the audition, but his gift would have been discovered at some point. I give her full credit, but he has an astounding talent and obviously was practicing many years, as his grasp of the foreign languages illustrates. He would not have stayed hidden, but credit to Charlotte for introducing us earlier.
@@ruthbrower8152 Jonathan himself has said that when he agreed to do the audition with Charlotte, he was in a very low place in his life, not seeing what his forward path could be - even though he had already had many accolades including at the Stratford and East London Music Festival's "Young Musician of The Year" the title of which he won in 2010. He was offered places at four junior departments of the London Conservatoires and accepted a place at the Junior Royal Academy of Music. He was not hidden, but he was struggling with his mental health, about which he has been quite open. As you said, full credit to Charlotte for reaching out to him and convincing him to go on BGT with her. If you watch the audition video (the most watched audition on RU-vid) you can almost see his transformation begin. It's possible that Charlotte actually is the reason we have him to love and listen to today.
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL VOICE AND HIS BREATH CONTROL IS UNBELIEVABLE. HE HAS A GOOD RANGE EVEN WITHOUT GOING INTO FALSETTO. IT'S BEEN FUN WATCHING THIS MAN GOING FROM THE VERY NERVOUS 17 YEAR OLD ON THE STAGE OF BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT TO BECOMING A VERY CONFIDENT YOUNG TENOR SINGER ON THE STAGES OF THE WORLD.
I remember seeing your audition.. You were so shy and lacked confidence in your self.. Shut the front door! Look at you now!!!!! I am so proud of you young man. Now you're following your dream. Amazing! You are just amazing!
I had the privilege of seeing this live...i can pinpoint the exact moment i started crying. Jonathan is a gift straight from the universe. His voice moves me to tears often. I'll never forget this concert.
I have 4 children (3 of them are almost 30 from a previous marriage)... I'm 60 this year and I have a 6 year old whom I hope to see graduate from High School, IF I'm lucky, as a heart patient (3 stints and a heart valve w/ congestive heart failure). I heard this song and immediately thought of my youngest child who has nobody to play with and demands so much of my attention cause he has no friends. Don't know why this song made me think of my little boy, but it did. Thanks Jonathan for sharing your talent here with us!
Bravo ! Bravo ! My husband and I were in the front loving this incredible concert. As soon as Pavel hit the first notes I knew what was coming. I had to cover my mouth I was crying so hard ! The emotion Jonathan brings with his music is unparalleled !!! Love you so much !!! Thank you for this !!!
The greatest rendition of Unchained Melody I have ever had the privilege to have witnessed in person at the Fred Kavli Theater in Thousand Oaks California wow wow wow I got goose bumps.....
Jonathan, I wish for you to be the happiest person on Earth. There is so much kindness and patience in your voice, there is so much love towards everything that lives; I can barely believe that all those feelings can settle in one heart. You reminded me of a very good friend of mine - there is the same intelligence in your eyes and wisdom. You are extremely talented. Be happy and share all your love with others.
I love Jonathan Antoine. This kid has so much talent and natural ability, I hope that the entire world learns about him and that his name becomes a household word.
This man was put on this earth to sing...he is truly one of the best!! His voice gives my goosebumps goosebumps 😁 absolute natural...love him!! Would so love to see him in concert! Never stop singing Jonathan!!
There's not many singers that can do this for me, but this young mans voice sends shivers up my spine and makes the hair on my arms stick up....he is wonderful!
I remember watching this shy 17 year old audition with Charlotte shaking like a leaf. He’s really become deservedly more confident. Happy to see it, as he should be. Stunning voice!!
Absolutely mesmerising .Those lucky enough to be in the audience were in awe .This has got to be one of the best renditions of this classic of all times
Welcome to the moment that Jonathan Antoine put the world on (humble) notice that a new King of song is on the horizon. By taking this classic to a totally new threshold of heart stopping perfection he steps into a global spotlight that he will own for decades. His interpretation of this classic is mezmerising. Truly superb performance ...and the roses being flung at his feet.....so handsomely well deserved!
I'm in tears, I was a young girl in high school when this song hit the charts, his performance of it is it's rebirth...………….I thank God that I live in this world at this time when we have Jonathan.
I never thought I would ever listen. To this song and feel the way I felt when Bobby Hatfield sing it. You are amazing... Great job no doubt Bobby Hatfield is smiling down on you.
The atmosphere was electric and the audience's response just over the moon - will never ever forget those magical moments - The whole concert was staggeringly beautiful
So beautiful Jonathan, breathtaking. I've always known you were the one that could do justice to the greatest of that era, Elvis Presley, the Righteous Brothers... Please keep bringing them back to us, you are the only one that can, your voice is that beautiful, that powerful and that thrilling!
To the kids that once bullied Jonathon.......hang your heads in shame.....look at him now! He is absolutely brilliant.....the background music in my kitchen everyday....keep it coming Jonathon
Michael J. Wade I checked out your profile ... only 2 subscribers ? BWAHAHAHAHA !! 😂😂😂😂😂 you’re pathetic ! How many subscribers does Jonathan have ?? Not to mention all the ladies tossing Roses 🌹 at him. ( don’t let your JEALOUSY kill you ☝️ )
Although he sings the song quite well. The two best singers who have sung this song are Bobby Hathaway, And Johnny Mastro, lead singer of Crest, and later on with Brooklyn Bridge
OMG! I cannot believe how much Jonathan has evolved since his first shy performance on BGT. He was Amazing then and he is even more Awesome now. Godspeed to you Jonathan. Keep up the good work.
Goosebumps all over again! When Pavel played the first 3 notes that night and I knew what you were about to sing I said to myself "he's going to do it!" and you most certainly did! Thank you for sharing this with us all.
My late father would sing unchained melody in the car when I was a kid, and we saw one of the Righteous brothers as well as a number of doo-wop performers sing it. This song brings great memories, and happiness to me when I hear it.
The personal growth in this amazingly gifted young man is wonderful to behold. We fell in love with the shy, insecure raw talent that first appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, watched in amazement as his confidence grew and voice evolved over the course of just that show and here we are, years later, marveling at this polished and confident artist. Thanks for taking us with you on your journey, Jonathan. Looking for much, much more in the years to come. Bravo!!
Ian McPake he has been touring Europe ever since and this was his debut concert in the USA 2 albums with Charlotte and two number one solo albums which are outstanding 😀
