Adorable and so touching! I also was touched to find out later that Genie was ultra protective of Jonathan during his time on the show because of what she went through when she first started out. I thought that was really a testimony to her kindness and warmth (and before anyone says anything, I'm sure that Tony Geary took good care of him, too, LOL!).
I know and he was so cute crying and his voice breaking and saying - i want to thank them and just kept pointing at them and not able to talk - they seem really close, thats adorable
He's makes the audience laugh even when he's tearing up of shock! :D And the fact that he thanks god when he won all five of his Emmy's, woow! He seems like such a great person :)
they are really incredibly, Jonathan's kept in touch with both Genie and Tony. They were really protective of him when he was young too. It's all like a real family! Their chemistry is simply UNTOUCHABLE! GO JJ!
I got hooked on GH when I first saw Tony Geary and Genie Francis in 1981. I fell in love with Jonathan the first second I saw that kid, and he has had my heart ever since. How many young men win FOUR Emmys?! Now, he's gone. I don't like how they did it, and I'm heart broken he's gone. I still hope he'll come back later. I adore little Aiden, I'm glad he's still playing the part, and I see Jonathan in him in so many ways.
GH did good, really good when they cast JJ as Lucky. GH also did good when they cast KImberly Mc. as Robin, two of the BEST child actors who grew up on the show. They are both like their on screen parents and no one can replace them ever in GH old school fans hearts. GH in the 90's rocked.
I had the biggest crush on him when he was on the show. Well, him and his brother. I even sent them a letter, and got their autographs. Somewhere in a box, I still have them.
I was so in love with J.J. When I was 10, I wanted to marry him. The first time I saw him was in Camp Nowhere and that evening, I put his pinups from BOP magazine on my wall. He was the most adorable, handsome boy I had ever loved as a preteen.
Aww, had totally forgotten about this preciousness until I started rewatching this storyline on here. Genius move to have his TV parents present his category and thus give us one of the most heartwarming Daytime Emmy moments ever. 🥰 The Spencer family both on and off the screen were truly special and one of a kind. Shame GH didn't feel the need to preserve or expand on that magic.
The last couple of words.... he said, "And um, and um" and then I couldn't hear the rest when his voice cracked (I'm hard of hearing). Can anyone tell me those last two or three words? Otherwise, much like Tony Geary, who attributed half of his first Emmy to Genie Francis, Jonathan Jackson recognizes the power of those onscreen with him, and understands that his own powerful performances are enhanced by their powerful performances. It was a really beautiful moment!
