Israel seems to be obsessed with hi tech and reluctant to do any heavy lifting like munitions manufacturer. As Yonatan has stated, there is no reason why we can't be arms independent.

You need to steal the technology before you can rip it off to produce it independently in Israel.. and the arms manufacturers don't want you stealing their ingenuity.. pollard was a spy .. a rat, he stole from his own country becuase Israel couldn't make it themselves.. it never happens the other way around especially when talking about the war machine. The garbage Israel does create can be blown up by hms with popsicle rockets so why would anyone want to buy that trash.

No reason at all but when Obama offered said munitions for free the reason to develop that further went away. You could argue Israel should never gave accepted such a deal but there may have been other factors

I am "chareidi". But whenever I think about the possibility of the Chareidi population increasing to the point where they are running the country, I cringe.. I don't think they're capable.. You can call me a self-hating Chareidi but I think there're many reasons to be concerned about such a scenario.. It is the Dati Leumi that have a better chance at doing it successfully

@@HR-op2cq IDK dati lumi and Haredi drive me crazy. They both curse the government then run to them and whatever fits their cause. Both have wide swings meaning you can have a guy living on a hill as a dati lumi guys looking like they're missing a chromosome and behavior of an Arab to dati lumi women making the bracha on the bread and borderline reform. The reality is they all have their agenda same with the secular. We left Israel to go back to America in order to build a business help family in Israel to go back. We were about to go back till we were told not to by a big Rabbi. The whole way they have handled this war and the war to come made me realize we are in the galut Moshiach hasn't come and we don't know or learned nothing from our bloody history. It broke me and now we wait building a family to bring Hashem and the final judgement closer . This is what it is to be a Jew!!!!!

America has been going deeper and deeper into the darkness since the days of John Dewey - a hundred years now. The problem is...chilonim think that the charedim are absolute intellectually incapable despite the potential there. The charedim in turn think it's worth ignoring real concerns because the chilonim have them. Neither is smarter and both suffer from the same hubris.

If this story with the pilots is even remotely true which is most likely not. You definitely didn't help with the narrative of the religious people and stiffing them with the bill in pretty sure is against halacha. A real Haredi individual works and learns and then teaches as the Torah applies to daily life while we are here. You blew it son and how does this guy actually get air time.
