My Elter-Zaide was born in Ukraine in 1867. His family relocated during his childhood to Vilná. By 1898, he, his wife, parents, and first three children moved to London for religious freedom. He said Ukrainie was a rotten place to live. The people of Ukraine weren't nice to Jews. My Bubbe said that Ukrainian people were a "mean" people.

This is the first time I disagree with Pollard.

Nigeria was an up and coming nation but the educated ibo people in oil rich east were persecuted and Britain told them if they declare independence arms will come. The arms never came and Britain set Nigeria back 30 years. Then Hillary later helped Moslems get control. Ukraine a similar thing?

1st time I think Pollard is misreading the situation. The Rav correctly pushed back on the idea that Ukraine should be supported to continue on the basis that Russia is at the end of it's tether. While they may have been a plucky adversory the west is the guilty party in this story and suing for peace is the only outcome

One thing left out is Russia's nukes.

The Russians no longer bomb with 30K shells per day. Pollard is out of touch with the Ukrainian situation. Russians bomb with 10K shells per day vs Ukro 2K.

What the west did to precipitate this. 23:06 . Well said. The west said give us east Germany and "not one inch eastward" NATO will not expand east. (Istanbul declaration 1999. Astana declaration 2010.) Russia was misled.

The question of whether the West will fight to the last drop of Ukranian blood raises the question, who will be President in 2025. If a democrat inhabits the White House, aid will continue. If RFK Jr. or Trump become President, aid will cease and Ukraine will lose the war.

Using Pollard's logic, America should have just accepted Soviet nukes in Cuba and if America did not like that, well, the Soviets should have just beefed up their military in Cuba. That is the crazy thinking that almost started a nuclear war back in 1962. If America was unwilling to accept having hostile enemy bases on its borders then, why does anyone act all surprised and shocked when Russia does exactly the same and refuses to accept NATO bases in Ukraine? NATO did actually spend a lot of time and money and supplied weapons and training for 8 years, from the 2014 NATO coup that overthrew the democratic government of Ukraine until Putin finally responded in 2022. After 2 years, everything NATO did and gave to Ukraine has been destroyed. NATO is running out of weapons and ammunition. Countries like France and Germany and UK have very small and weak armies. NATO cannot beat Russia in a war in Europe. Unless they start using nukes... In which case NATO will cease to exist a few hours later, as Russia uses its much more powerful and accurate missiles in response. As Putin said... 'We may die. But our enemies will not have time to repent.' - They will be dead very quickly. Same applies to Israel being forced to use Israeli nukes against Damascus and Iran. Pollard seems to make so much sense when he talks about Israel and Gaza, but he is way out of touch with reality when he talks about Russia and Ukraine.

Yugoslavia was a rapidly developing nation that Germany feared eventual threat in manufacturing sales. Germany saw low level moving to high level quality goods over time. Non expansive communist Yugoslavia had to go Germany helped incite ethnic tensions to break up Yugoslavia for commerce and trade. The west today is wicked and Russia is wicked. What to do ?

Someone in comments mentioned Yugoslavia as a comparison... Yugoslavian here to add my 2 cents... It would seem unrelated to Ukraino-Russo conflict but 🧸 with me... IMHO the whole civil war in YU in heart of Europe was initiated not by Germans, although I don't claim they were not interested, but by Americans, who successfully disrupted the process of unification of Europe and postponed the establishment of European Union and creation of Euro for 10 years! Americans through their sleazy actions, direct or indirect, created huge number of killed maimed and thrown out of their ancestral homes people inside of YU and influenced migration crisis not seen in Europe at the time. No one was crying "humanitarian disaster" then! Where were you, good people of Europe and all of you Palestinians, Tito and YU were one of greatest supporters of Arafat and PLO, where were you then to help brothers in need?! Balkan is still a weak point in center of Europe sleeping powder keg waiting for Americans to push the button when they see fit. ALL of that happened with YU was a children's game compared to their next target, all of it was just practicing for next goal, destruction of CCCP and preparing groundwork for keeping future European local wars and hotspots with overall vision of steering Europe in whatever direction Americans want, as clearly seen today. When I hear about Americans pushing in any country for creating of Non Profit Organization, opening Human Rights council offices and organizing Democracy Supporting committees - I start counting months before that country is utterly destroyed. Ukraino-Russo war is just another way of controlling Europe, just imagine - gas pipe line out of order, countries that never needed to buying HUGE amounts of sophisticated weaponry from America, some other countries ramping up production of armaments to arm Ukrainians, financial turmoil in Europe added by HUGE immigration from Arab countries... Jonathan is much more accurate in his assessment of the situation than rabbi. The rabbi, basically rephrased Russian propaganda talk king points. The invasion of Ukraine had nothing to do with the NATO expansion - it was just a pretext. Finland entering NATO represents a much higher threat, according to Putin’s own argument, and notice, there was not a pipsqueak from Russia about it. And Zelenskyy did offer neutrality in March of 2022, but it was rejected by Russia, when the Russian troops were surrounding Kiev. The story about Putin wanted to join NATO is a hearsay - there are very specific steps that Russia had to undertake to qualify - how do you know that there was not a pushback from its generals and industrial-military complex, how do you known that Putin was serious about it?
