Yes is true, but when you pray it in Jesus tongue it connected you to him through time, because God lives off of time, he is greater than time. Praying it in arameic will unite him to you when he praying this special prayer on the mountain and that is alot of graces.

"---Jesus"? Are you sure? Some guy - decades later referred to as, "Matthew," - between the years 80-90 AD, wrote it and attributed the words to his fictional character. Please understand, there is faith and a belief in supernatural mythologies, but none of it is proven or verifiable in any way. Was there a real Jesus? Did he really say these things? What? Jesus said the prayer in Aramaic, while it was supposed to be done in Hebrew? Are you really that dumb? A prayer that had never been said before, first said by Jesus, in his native language, should have been said in Hebrew? That's like saying the Gettysburg Address should have been delivered in German.

I guess, that it is the mothertongue of his parents. There are no difficulties in the words itself to say or write, if it is your language. But he himself might be more used to English. There are ppl living spread in many western countries, whose mothertongue is Aramaic, they come from Turkey and Iraq and Syria and Iran, others furtheron are living there.
