Talks are ongoing between Manchester United and Jonny Evans over a new one-year contract.
The 36-year-old made 23 Premier League appearances for United last season - the most of any centre-half at the club.
The Northern Irishman rejoined United on a one-year deal last summer.
Meanwhile, West Ham are one of a number of clubs in the Premier League and Europe interested in Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Wan-Bissaka is so good at what he does. Why would you get rid of what is probably the best man on man defender of crazy wingers in the world? Even if he isn't first choice there are so many good wingers in the league, having someone who can pocket players like Doku in your team is a blessing.

I think the issue is that he can only play RB (he's been awful at LB). AWB should be starting somewhere and Utd need a more versatile defender.

I don't support MU thankfully😄 but Wan-Bissaka looks a solid player, not great going forward maybe but a good defender with pace. Have seen him have the odd bad game but usually he looks good especially in recovery tackles.

AWB is a very decent player he is so good at what he does..he only has deficiencies in shooting and crossing.but his forward movements are brilliant especially at being a decoy and drawing opposition players away for others to get their way through..

Maguire has redeemed himself. I’d keep him for Man Utd. He’s been scoring a few last season as well but on a whole he has improved his performance and is deserving of a starting place in the squad.

I think selling both Maguire and Lindelof would probably leave little quality cover though. Probably keep one. Licha + 2 new signings leaves just Evans and Kambwala. I guess Shaw can cover lcb but still.

Idk why no coach hasnt converted Wan-bisaka into a cb he isnt good attacking wise but is one of the best one on one in defending make him a permanent cb or an option at least.

I used to think that as well, but he is woeful in the air. He'd probably be better as a DM who just sits in the pocket and breaks up play before it gets to the last defence line. But then again, his positioning can be pretty loose at times.

Literally not on big money, works hard, easily can be a squad player. Problem is that we keep playing squad players in the first 11 because the supposedly first 11 players are either off form or injured.

No problem with Evans signing on for another year, but he shouldn't receive the 80k per week he received last year. I'd prefer to keep AWB if United is reportedly only going to receive around 10m for him. He is much better than that and extending his contract wouldn't be a bad thing considering United has little money to spend on a replacement.

Evans was too old to play last season so no point at all, and has never been a great servant to the club, he was paid huge amounts to play, his head is there but legs way gone. As a coach train him up and get him started with the under 18s, but unless they can turn the clock back he will useless as a player and maybe only signed as another English player for Euro rules.
