Well Fairplay acted like such a jerk that its kinda hard to feel sorry for him. Jeff Probst was officially pissed off at Fairplay after this episode. You can tell whenever he showed up he just hated him. Probably didn’t like that he was fooled. But he never revealed that she was alive or that Fairplay lied.
Actually, Jeff did buy it. He called Jon's home on behalf of the Survivor crew to offer their condolences, only to have the grandmother herself pick up the phone! So yeah, it was only Sandra that didn't buy it.
I’m willing to bet money Sandra has lowest IQ out of any players this season. She is just a bitch that’s why she didn’t care. I love this show so much and can’t stand when people give props to a player (Sandra) who has no business being on this show, yet winning it.
@@RyanC3ONE3 Yet she won the show twice, the lady is actually way much smarter than most people realize. I dont like her personality but she has a great way of dealing with people and has great reads on people.
Jonny Fairplay didn't just trick his fellow castaways and the fans watching at home. He tricked the entire production staff of a reality show. Very few people can say they managed to pull that feat off.
ElectrikkPaperClipxx except when she actually played the game in game changers.... when she actually does stuff she is trash this proves she isn't a good player.
+nyyankees4296 most likely when johnny said "there's a reason my grandma isn't here right now" cuz jeff likely knew who the contestants chose as their family member
This move may have been despicable but it was damn clever and you simply cannot deny that. This lie is the definition of the Outwit part of the slogan with the way that it took advantage of the sympathy and emotions that the rest of the castaways (save Sandra) would have felt for Jonny so that they'd give him the win. Jonny may not have played fair but he played clever. I can't say I like what he did but I gotta give him props.
+Duspende . it's not clever. it's just psychopathic behaviour. the reason for some not liking it, but giving it "props" is that they wouldn't think of doing it themselves - cause they aren't psychopathic. this isn't something you think of, this is something you are or aren't capable of thinking about. if you have no problem with this, you probably have some antisocial issues yourself.
Daniel Gundersen It's not a psychopathic move. There is no part of it that showcases lack of empathy. It's called being pragmatic, and there is a difference. You should stop trying to appear smart on topics you clearly don't know much about.
Lmao Johnny "Fairplay" is in my top ten favorite survivors, bc of that episode. I was little when I watched it, but I watched it with my mom and when he went back to camp with his friend and said his grandma was sitting at home me and my mom looked at each other and started dying of laughter. He defiantly "outwitted" most, if not all of those people. Hell he even got Jeff to believe it. smartest move in the game.
As evil as it was, you have to admit this was one of the most clever strategic moves in the history of Survivor. Jonny was a goddamn genius for coming up with this.
Why do so many people hate him for this? Survivor is a GAME about taking advantage of emotions, it was very clever on his part. Ntm his grandma seemed to handle it fine anyway.
Sandra's face is priceless. She is like. . .I can't believe everyone is falling for this. . . Hahaha when Sandra is the one that sends his friend back a step. ..just to screw with him
According to an interview if I am remember correctly, Sandra said she knew Fairplay was lying about the whole dead grandma story to get sympathy. She thought of telling people but it would put a potential target on her back because people may not believe her or think she's lying. So she kept quiet. And she messed with him whenever he could....like sending his buddy back and making swear on his grandmother that he won't vote her out. When in her mind she was swearing to get him and Burton out of the game as examples.
I always hated sandra but the fact that it seems like she knows this is BS is fucking amazing lmao People like Fairplay, Rupert, Boston Rob, Pavarti, and Russell are what make this show great xD
Canuck Justin Either way, she was the only one who didn't get caught up in Fairplay's lie, whether she believed it or not, she didn't drop everything just to help Jon progress further in the game.
dude I poured this guy's grandma's coffee at McDonald's for years every morning. her license plate is "DEADGMA". lovely lady... brought all the regulars trays back to the counter every morning. we joked that she was on payroll 😂 dude is truly a character.
Let me tell you even though we have blindsides and all that stuff a good villain is always entertainment in survivor. Even though they will be hated by some people. People like me still love to see stuffs like this and people like Jonny fairplay and Russel will be remember for long time.
When I told my dad about this because I thought it was so funny he told me John is related to us. And that his grandmother is still alive even now in 2019.
Just met her at Fairplay’s survivor watch party she’s still kickin! Just sitting in the corner eating pizza fairplay was trying to set her up with Jeremiah from Cagayan
“We called back home to see if there was anything we could do and you answered the damn phone” So basically Jeff: hello? Jonny’s grandma: yes hello, this is Jonny’s grandmother Jeff: hol up didn’t u just die?
I always liked that when Fairplay starts complaining about Sandra not caring about his "dead" grandma, her husband immediately starts shaking his head without even really knowing the context of Sandra's relationship with Fairplay. Marcus seems like a very smart man.
I still wish he would've been able to be Lill in the final immunity challenge. Regardless of how you feel about him as a person, he was immensely entertaining.
He actually made it too obvious that he was faking the whole thing, just found out his grandma died but he's running at his friend over the top "so happy right now". He just overacted it constantly and isn't a good actor.
@@wolfgineer9340 Exactly. The hypocrisy from people is astounding. It’s just a game. People are way too emotional. He did what he had to do to try to win a million dollars. It’s good gameplay🤷🏽♀
For people who watched the season, how exactly did this move benefit his game? Was there strategy involved besides somewhat endearing people to him? I'm curious.
Lol yep came straight from that interview, I remembered who Johnny "Fairplay" was I just wanted to see it again. Have to give him credit for embracing the role of the villain.
