@@lisareitzel7501 This is definitely my favorite of all of his songs. It’s so raw, expresses such pain. It just amazes me that he wrote this song when he was 15 and recorded it when he was 16. Not what you would expect from a middle class white boy from North Dakota. Whereas this was his biggest hit, Johnny has a lot of Music out there, And it’s worth checking out his other albums. He is now 43 years old. Last I heard he is having vocal cord problems, and may never sing again.

WOW 🌟 - I had never heard of Jonny Lang before today. It was by sheer accident in hitting ‘play’ on this video. IMO he’s a 👍 🎸 + 🎤ist, and will now look into more of his music! I’m almost 70, and thought I had heard just about ALL the great, talented guitarists, both living and deceased. I was wrong, and really enjoyed watching and hearing him - 👏!

Finally saw Jonny about 3-4 years ago. Was the backup band touring with Buddy Guy. Remember when he was 15 blowing up the scene. Amazing talent that got in a little over his head. It happens, especially when you are that young and everyone wants a piece of you. He lived to tell the tale and still puts on a great show and will blow you away. If you get a chance, don't miss it!

I have a special place in my heart knowing Jonny Langseth is from North Dakota... our state doesn't often get recognized for talents that were bred in our "rural" cities and farm communities... trust me that The Blues exist because of our harsh winter loneliness and small community "he said she said" rumor type small talk news

Jesus...I was living in Fargo back when he was playing in the local bars as Kid Jonny Lang and the Big Bang...and I never bothered to go see him. I remember thinking "how good can a 14 year old kid from NoDak be at playing and singing the blues?" With the exception of devoting 50 some years to watching the damned Vikings, I've never been so wrong in my life. He's right up there with Peggy Lee, as far as incredible NoDak talent goes.

Take a listen to 'Matchbox' just as cool. Like you I've only just got into him. Heard him on a country station of all things and he stopped me in my tracks. Matchbox has a 50s feel about it.

Jonny is having medical issues. He had to cancel all of 2021 to recover, if he does recover. They're worried his voice may be permanently damaged.
