An old school master of old school blues and some of the best white boy blues players you'll ever hear , it don't get no better than this kind of jammin
I got to see Buddy Guy at a music festival where he brought nine-year-old Quinn Sullivan with him very cool and boy did that Quinn Sullivan play a guitar
I love all three of them. I saw Buddy Guy live twice. My friend took me to seeBB King and Buddy opened for him. I was mesmerized and hooked from that point on. I saw the Stones with Ronnie Wood twice but never saw Johnny Lang. I remember he was big in the 90d around the same time as Kenny Wayne Shepherd who I did see at BB Kings Blues Festival
Buddy is a master, and I was mesmerized by Johnny. He killed as always. There is no doubt. But the guy who really impressed me was Ronnie. I thought to myself “how’s he gonna follow Johnny Lang?” But when he comes out with the slide and finished up with some fiery Texas blues I was all smiles. This was a master class. Thank you gentlemen.
@@enriquemartinez1606 james is definitely the king of the slide guitar, but that doesn’t diminish or take away from Ronnie Wood’s playing on this song at all. If you don’t like him or his playing, good on ya. It’s not a competition. It’s an appreciation of the music and the player. Cheers
Are you frickin kidding me. ? Oh my God thank you so much just turned on RU-vid and first thing that came up was this didn't even know it existed thank you because you know this is going to be good the best-of-the-best thanks again
Buddy's "the man!" There's nobody quite like him, no matter how hard they try. He's one of the last genuine old time blues legends left, yet he never lords it over younger players, and that's the mark of a true gentleman.
Johnny Lang is way underrated. He's carrying the torch for young blues players. Billy Strings is another who is awesome, and Derek Trucks, but those guys seem to get their dues.
hahaha. just WOW. I loved how Buddy Guy was able to stay the focus of that song with all that amazingness on that stage. that was some incredible guitar playing up there.
Hey Robin this is Jeff Yoder the ol'broke down scooter tramp (exbiker) and I'll be 73years old on July 15th of this year (2023) and I've been a big time fan of old school blues for over half of my life and and as I've said before it don't get much better than this video with an old school blues master(Buddy Guy) and 2 of the best blues eyed (white) blues players, Ronnie Woods and Johnny Lang all 3 some of the best blues jammers in the world on the stage together having fun putting out some of the best blues most people ever have a chance to hear
one JAM"S high level with three stars from guitars and vocal blues , very very good job!!! thanks buddy johnny ronnie from yours TALENTS since jackyfan 👍frenchy.....johnny lang is one in my favorits guitarplayer and vocal blues ... made in u.s.a.
I loved this - especially the diversity of ages and culture in terms of their origins. Buddy The Legend, his story starting with Muddy and Ronnie of Faces and RS...with that young whippersnapper Lang who is picking up where SRV left off it seems....their style of playing sounds similar to many yet comparable to none!!!
Love these guys. Been to lots of concerts. Sorry I missed this one. Best ever was a dance club in Santa Fe, NM with Buddy Guy + the late, great Junior Wells. I danced til my ears were dripping sweat!
My first boyfriend took me to see him at the Idaho Falls, ID Civic Center in 1998 and I have not seen anyone play the guitar like that- since then. He was amazing- the entire audience was on their feet!
@@caseyfisher6727 we saw them a few years ago at an outside venue, large stage, in the evening just outside of Toledo, Ohio. Tickets were pricey. I can't remember the name of the place. I'd have to ask my boyfriend.
Buddy Guy the original ..Often imitated no ever duplicated.. love ya man 😎 Johnny Lange man can flat ass smoke a guitar 🎸 Ronnie Wood Dammit man you still rockin with the best of them bro 😎 Lovin it ♥️
This is incredible... I've seen Buddy, increrible performer. Johnny I have followed from his chidhood. Ronnie Wood is as amazing, I wood love to see them as a trio ! ❤
It's music, not a competition, nobody bested anyone. Three guy's doing what they love to do,they all respect each other, why do people seem to think it's a competition ?
Bootscoot33 you clearly are misguided. There is no besting the likes of Ronnie Wood and Buddy Guy just because you make faces like you’ve got to use can doesn’t mean you beat out someone. Also it’s not even a competition just a bunch of guys who like to play music together
This performance was First time at the age of 15 knowing who Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang was. I’ve seen Buddy Guy once since then and it was an experience especially as someone who just picked up a guitar at that age. There’s not any other musicians around in my area, but I can always listen to this performance and play along to it. Who doesn’t love this, and the blessing of the blues. I’m most assured that the 6 dislikes were from Rap enthusiasts that accidentally clicked on real music.
@@markjackson3273 If you read my comment I don’t say that this is Lang’s first performance. This was the first performance I’ve seen at the age of 15. My first album I got of his was recorded in 1998, I never once thought this was his first performance.
Saw Jonny Lang at one of his first concerts ever. Opening for Aerosmith(9lives era) in Camden, Penn. in 1997ish, I believe that he was barefooted. He became one of my favorites and saw him on my birthday a few years ago in Sonoma, California and it was an awesome show and he had shoes on! As far as Ronnie Wood and Buddy Guy No words can justify how great they are also.
Same with Chevy Chase! met him in a bar in Olde Town Alexandria, VA late one night after the hearings on the Hill, regarding " colorization" of old films, back in 1981-ish! He just wanted to have a sip in private at end of long day spent downtown Capitol Hill. Nice person! Easy to smile for you! nice!
I’ve been up front for Buddy Guy live at NOLA Jazz Fest a few times and Johnny Lang at Tampa Bay Blues Fest right after Lie To Me came out. This video makes me wanting to find where just one of them are playing. I’ve always admired Ronnie Woods but damn! he was smokin’! This is now one of my favorite videos…thanks for making a blues lover a happy girl! Pure awesomeness!!
Blues are my favorite , there great for all events . Making love, parties, weddings, any celebration really. This specific album Rock's like I ain't heard anything like it ..
Buddy Guy is the best in the world 🌎 He's a blues master and he's just simply amazing and phenomenal 🎉🎉. The blues are a true classic type of music 🎶 🎵
Santana always said, if you look to nice, your not feeling what your playing. Love Lang, Ronnie fit in there as well, Buddy needs no mention, he is great!
Buddy guy.....Just LISTEN to those vocals! Johnny Lang absolutely KILLED IT! And Ronnie Wood.....well, because he's Ronnie Wood! And that rhythm section is just SMOKIN'!!! Sparks in Daytona
If you could hear this about looking at it with your ears. What a diverse part of life we have here. I'm a white guy. I love all races it brings us all together. It brings us all together that day. God bless America
