The stats more significant than the 4-0 thrashing by Brentford is that defeat was United’s 7th away defeat in a row, with 22 goals conceded and only 2 scored. That run includes 4-0 thrashings by Brentford, Brighton and Liverpool; a 4-1 drubbing by City and a 3-1 defeat by Arsenal. Also 1-0 defeats at Everton and Palace. That is serious relegation form.

I 100% agree, these people like Gary Neville have criticised the ownership model of Chelsea and man City etc as bad for football (which it is). But a few years of them not winning anything and they are crying and complaining their owners are not like that. It's pathetic. It also just implies that the issue is lack of money which it isn't. They have spent more than enough to compete with city and Liverpool and Chelsea, they just have wasted it because the back room people are incompetent. That should be yhe issue they complain about not a lack of money being spent and wishing for more. You are correct but the issue is these owners employ the people that are spending the money poorly. The glazers don’t care cause it’s not their money and as long as money is coming in from the club they have no reason to care. If it was their own money, after one season everyone in that club would be sacked and the right people who know what the hell they are doing would be hired to get the club winning and a return on their money. The fact that they don’t care about changing anything and just sit back and watch the money come is what where the issue lies. If anyone had a business that was this bad after 10 years would rip it all up and start again with the right people in place. They would certainly not take more money out the club and they would put it back into the club and try and get things done to bring the club back up to a high standard in all departments. United have been self sufficient for decades now but are in serious danger if they don’t change things now and the owners are there to stop it happening. It is their club after all and one day the money will stop dripping into their pockets cause sponsors, champs league money and mech will all take a nose dive. They just throwing our own money to buy players to incompetent people who don’t know how to do anything properly and that is their fault entirely

@@scotte99 this is not a sensible comment. The owners are business people who took risks by borrowing a lot of money to buy the club which is a valuable asset to them. The club is worth 4 to 5 billion so how can the owners not care about one of their most valuable asset. The problem is that the owners made a bad decision in their choice of CEO (Ed Woodward) who mismanaged the football side of the business. It is not fair to compare United which is listed company that must operate based on sound business practice to Chelsea, Man City and PSG that just spend money without having to worry about finances. It’s best to compare United to Liverpool which is also owned by business people and which also spend from what the business generate as any normal business. It is a same that United fans seem to have lost all dignity and would now want the club to by own by Saudi owners or Oligarchs.

If you say don’t buy a ticket, they will say someone else will, if you say don’t do this they will find a reason to counter it. Season ticket holders already paid for their tickets. Lots of other people already bought their tickets in advance. Boycotting one match wont be the most practical approach in my opinion. However, boycotting merch can seriously damage them

The big problem has been who spent the money. It hasn't been the managers deciding who they want and the club getting those players in, the Glazer's themselves have micromanaged the sales & contract renewals and guess what the on field performances have not been the reasons why they made those decisions. Its always been about commercial value and maintaining the share price, this is why players like Phill Jones are still on the books even though they never play. Then they turn around and refuse to get the players the managers actually want and need citing price. Its a total shitshow which has ended up costing a 1 bil, they never wanted to spend this much but they're own incompetence as owners has led to this.

Whether they spent their own money or not £665.73 million spend in the transfer market since 2017-18 season ranks them 3rd behind Chelsea and Man City. So in terms of player recruitment the finance has been available. They just have recruited poorly and the club culture and infrastructure such as coaching, scouting is not up to standard.

Good owners put something into the club - money, effective leadership, ideally both. Bad owners take from the club - money, awful leadership or as in the case of the Glazer parasites, both. When people point out that the club has only spent from its own resources - less the Glazer dividend, less the interest on the Glazer debt - they're indicating what type of owners the Glazers are.

In their first seasons, Guardiola lost 0-4 away to EVE (7th) and 2-4 away to LEI (12th) whilst Klopp lost 0-3 away to Watford (13th). It is not nice to lose like this and there is a lot of work to do but, as annoying as it sounds, losing badly is often part of the process.

You are missing the point. The Glazers aren't doing anything illegal and I hardly think the Government are considering getting involved in a well-established and legally run Company. Manchester United is a cash-cow for the Glazers and it legally provides them with multi-millions every year so there is no way on earth they will consider walking away from it.Its just business to them and they will treat it in the same way as if it were a shopping centre paying high rents. Why would they even consider selling it? Makes no sense.

The owners are appalling. Yes there has been money for players but they haven’t employed serious people on the football side to structure the football operation. They have bought rubbish for 10 years while saddling it with huge debt and taking millions in dividends. Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal are miles ahead of them. It’s no longer about competing with City and Liverpool. The fans need to act and push the owners out.
