Jordan 4 Restoration - Tips & Tricks For Repainting Midsoles
In today's restoration video, Vick almighty goes into detail showing how to properly remove and apply paint to sneaker midsoles. Typically, Vick will use acetone to remove paint. However, due to the age of the shoe, he used a heat gun to heat the paint and peeled it off using his fingernail. Now, this process is timely, so be patient and ensure you do not apply too much heat which can cause damage to the midsole. After the paint is removed, Vick moves on to tapping the shoe to apply the new paint. Using Scotch Masking tape, he carefully protects the suede upper and rubber outsoles by covering them precisely! Lastly, Vick paints a base coat of white and follows up with the new green. If you liked today's video, let us know in the comments below!
