Yeah bro, they finally got the red right with this retro! It’s definitely a true ‘Fire Red’ and makes the shoe stand out. Thanks bro, we stay with the sauce over here 😂😂😂
You’re welcome bro! I’m glad you got something from the vid. Any version of the fire red 4s is a keeper. 4s are just simply awesome! Your 2012 pair is a keeper, no doubt
Thank you bro!!! I appreciate that! Trust me, as long as you get a decent pair, craftsmanship wise, you don’t need the past retros. This is definitely the best retro of the Fire Reds. I’m definitely going after 2 more pairs and I’m good on Fire Reds for awhile
Respect bro. I enjoy your vid. Tbh i made one vid complaining mine which came yesterday. Like you said, mine came with a broken box, 2 creases on the side panel and toe area of the left shoe as well as a small orange stain on the toe. I even contacted nike asking for refund but after watching your vid man...im gonna keep em. Nice vid once again
Ferry Junigwan Murdiansyah I’m glad I was able to help in any way. Sadly, finding a good pair was like hunting for treasure lol. Hopefully you still enjoy every bit of them
I love my 2012 fire reds. The air bubble being red, jumpman logo on the heel and netting angle didn't bother me, thought it looked pretty good. The red on the 2020s is way too bright for my liking
Im actually happy they went back to the og way, they released them like how you wanted in 2006 and 12 it was about time to bring back how michael wore them. Only thing bad with these was the qc.
I’m glad you got to choose the best pair available. I doubled up and my 2nd pair that came from finishline still has flaws but I guess they just made too many. Hopefully everyone that wanted a pair got at least one
I agree here as well!!! It hurt me to sell my og playoff 12s bcuz I knew that I would never see that shape on the 12s again. Now they have a weird banana shape just like the 13s, smh. The 12s & 13s have suffered a lot with the recent shapes JB has given them. The molds get worse after every retro. The 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, & 11s have gotten better tbh. But nothing beats the OG shape of every numbered Jordan
@@SoFreshEnt45 The shape on 14 is off and the height of the tongue is way too tall. The 13 aren't too bad in shape. The 2 and 12 needs more work when it comes to shape. 1, 3 thru 11 shape has improved on the recent retro. They need stop reversing the jump man on the freaking left pairs (9 and 11).
Another thing that I notice, is the length and shape of the netting on the toe box on the 2020 doesn't extend as far as the 2006 and 2012 version. Both the 2006 and 2012 came close to the 89 OG in that regard.
What’s worked for me, personally, is storing your shoes in cold, air conditioned places. For fire red 4s, it usually isn’t a big problem, unlike the white cement 4s which tend to yellow faster. But to slow down the process, don’t store your shoes in hot & humid places. That’s what cracks, yellows, & dries shoes faster. Hopefully this helps you
When I said cherry red, I don’t mean it in the literal sense, I mean the red that’s in the Cherry 12s & 13s. Both OG’s of the shoes had a bright red. But idk if you’ve ever owned OG’s before? If so, I don’t mind being corrected
@@SoFreshEnt45 the white/red 12 aka Japan 12(I came up with that nickname because of their flag and theme of the 12's-you can tell Tinker tried to match the bulls color way with the Japanese flag) and white/red 13 aka Chicago 13 both use different red on the OGs. The white/red (Japan) 12 use varsity red on both the 97 OG and 2009 version. The OG white/red 13 use true red, 2010 use varsity red, and 2017 use gym red. These hype beast just throw that name cherry around because of the concord 11 which is dumb. IMO, either the history of the shoe or the color label on the shoe box should be used for nickname.
I agree with your sentiment. I used to have DS OG Bred 13s and that red has yet to be matched by the retros. The 2004 came close tho but you’re right, these nicknames are given by hypebeasts bcuz they’re too lazy to just call a shoe by it’s actually color way.
@@SoFreshEnt45 On the black/red(bred) 13 they can never get the red right on those. I agree, the 2004 version was the closet to the OG. IDKW, Jordan Brand can't get the shape of the 12 right, the GS/youth size on retro are even closer to the OG especially the lizard rand on the lateral and medial side of the shoes.
I can see why you didn’t like the 2020 pair. It definitely had the worst quality control out of all 3. But at this point, Jordan Brand gonna do Jordan Brand things 😪
I ended up selling the ‘06 & ‘12 pairs after making this video bcuz I had bought 3 pairs of the ‘20 pair. But I’m pretty sure the ‘06 pair wouldn’t have lasted long
