"This exercise was designed to create a common understanding among the participating countries about the nature of emerging and cross-border threats, such as terrorist organizations, armed groups and entities that support them, as well as the proliferation of drones and the threat of the spread of biological, chemical and nuclear weapons of mass destruction and the spread of their means of delivery which are missiles with different ranges."

"This exercise is not related to any development in the region. This has many positive implications for us as armed forces at various strategic, operational and tactical levels. Through this exercise, we seek to raise the combat readiness of the various formations and units of the armed forces, and we also seek to harmonize the work of our armed forces with the rest of the allied, friendly and partner countries in this effort."

"The threat of drones is one of the emerging ones. In terms of the sensitivity of this threat, a drone costing 300-400 Jordanian dinars (about $420-$560) can carry enough explosives to strike a vital facility, and therefore this is a threat to the countries of the region and others. Now, in order for us to possess the technology necessary to resist such a threat, we need to have great resources."

"Regardless of what's happening around the world, the vital importance of exercising with partners and growing your coalition sustains. So throughout the activities that we see in the region, it shows the importance of this exercise, the importance that the DoD (U.S. Department of Defense) places with our strategic partner in Jordan. 75 years now that we've been working together as nations. We stuck to this timeline. We've been planning this exercise for a couple of years now, and we are excited to see it start today."

"And I think that's key in what we call security cooperation is working soldier by soldier, airman by airman, marine by marine and special forces next to our partners. And we work towards interoperability so that in time of need, in time of crisis, we can work together, and we're not meeting each other for the first time in time of need. We've worked together for years through this partnering and that's how we all become better."
