@@TomahawkAssassin12 he can call himself whatever he wants, but that doesn't mean he's an Australian. That's determined by where you're born, which can't change. He was born in Wales, making him Welsh.
He pulled a similar move when he was in the AHL. Slashed a guy for no reason as he was pulled, threw a hissy fit on the way back to the bench, and let his team handle the problems once he was gone. Besides, even if Karlsson talked shit, that doesn't explain why he went after another shark AND Devon on his way out. Chirping's part of the game, one he's not exempt from just because he's a goalie and he has to get a handle on his reactions...If he's going to get that pissed off by it, he's gotta use that anger to bounce back, not risk a unsportsmanlike conduct every time something like this goes down.
You know what kills me about people judging Binningtons actions? You always see forwards, or defensemen screwing with the opposition after a whistle, but once a goaltender does it he’s crazy? Lmao all players have emotions, and I thought it was awesome to see.
Odds are if dudes are talking shit to you, and your team is struggling to help you most games, you’re going to be tense. Yeah it’s NHL but dude is human and is frustrated.
Really appreciate you posting these clips. Anytime you hear about a situation you can count on Jens to have the video, and ridiculously fast as well. As someone who loves to know what’s going on all over the nhl love and appreciate it so much!
Yeah, he went after Simek first then Karlsson, and then Dubnyk. Binnington has always been a punk. I remember when he sucker punched Arvidsson after Bortuzzo had cross checked him into the crossbar.
@Pale Alejandro Yes, they won the Cup two years ago. Good for them. They also played plenty dirty then as well. Like coach, like team. Plus, you can still be a punk and have a ring. Claude Lemieux has multiple championships for example. Having a championship two years earlier isn't an excuse for being an idiot.
@@6Snaus Not excusing what Binnington did here, but how did the Blues play dirty hockey in 2019? From what I recall, there weren't very many dirty hits or plays from them in the cup run. They were just a hardnosed team that grinded out the opposition.
@@sezwat121892 They threw head hits like crazy throughout the conference finals, especially after the hand pass game. Especially their fourth line and bottom pair (Bortuzzo). Guys like O'Reilly, Schenn, and Parayko are hard-nosed and I give them credit, but Barbashev, Sundqvist, and Bortuzzo were absolutely ridiculous in the games following the controversy.
@@6Snaus With all due respect, I don't think you are remembering correctly. Dirty hits to the head would result in suspension even in the playoffs. Now both Sundqvist and Barbashev did get suspended, but not in the conference finals. Both were suspended for 1 game in the Cup finals. Both situations were also first time offenders so to say they played dirty is an overstatement, in my opinion, especially with Barbashev since he hasn't even been involved with a fine since the suspension. Again, I just think they play a very grindy type of game.
It’s very true. I’ve always wondered why that is. I guess normal people want to play forward, weirdo’s want to play D, and the super weirdo’s want to be goalie.
It's always sad to see such talented players decline because of their mindset and not being able to have control over their emotions. Hopefully Bennington can turn it around soon
Still... laughing at his meltdown...because you played shitty D is a shitty thing to so to a teammate. Its a 4-3 game. Why pull your starter in that kind of a game. Shows 0 respect or trust. Bridges like that stay burnt
@@crazycanuck7811 agreed. You need to show solidarity with your teammates. I could be reading into it too much but that was my initial reaction as an outsider to both these teams.
@@jamiebenn6425 go back to watching soccer, little man. Its called showing emotion. Dubnyk likely jawed at Binner, and he took exception to it. But the joke's on the Sharts. They're still cupless, bottom of the West, and Kane is still millions in debt like the idiot he is.... Oh, and Binner has a Ring to his name. And STL won 7-6😂😂😂😂😂
Dude is just passionate about hockey and wants to win, definitely overreacted here but has every reason to be frustrated and when dudes are talking shit, most people won’t back down, I’m sure you wouldn’t in person either.
$27million in debt and counting. Typical pro athlete financial death spiral: cars, kids, mansions, and gambling. Dude better get his act together and save every penny now - after retirement in 5ish years he'll be lucky to make $50k
Would love to see the Sharks return to the original version of their sweaters. I do like the current setup but you can never go wrong with what started it all.
As much as I can understand that Binnington was pissed about being pulled, he still acted like an idiot. I've always felt that he's had a bad temper. And in a bad way.
@Pale Alejandro Take a moment and read Dustins comment. Letting your emotions get the better of you every time something goes wrong does not help yourself nor your team in any way. Just think about it. It’s just like your comment, nothing good comes out of it
Those are the guys who win Stanley cups... 😎 I've been with the Bruins a long time - Gerry cheevers, Tim Thomas, Tuuka Rask... Some of the most ornery tempered goalies we've had - and they all have Stanley cup championships under their blockers 😃
Lol it won’t happen devan can’t take games off over a fight he needs to build a groove and from my inside scoop Martin Jones is a tad bit too docile to start anything
I’m from England so I’ve never seen a game of ice hockey. Forgot it even existed to be honest! I’m starting to wonder why this isn’t mainstream, it looks sick! Never even skated before but I wanna play this so bad 😂
@@backseatsurfer5005 Yep, even though I’ve had some hate for the Blues in the past and probably now, I still want to congratulate the winning team all the time. 🙂
Usually it's a skater stepping in when someone takes a poke at their goalie, but here we see a goalie stepping in when someone took a poke at one of his skaters. Good for Dubnik (SP?) standing up for his teammates like that.
Should've uploaded the FS Midwest version of this... They have the entire version that follows Binnington to the bench and shoves some Sharks there before shoving other players and Dubnyk
Lol a meltdown after letting in a weak goal short side, costing his team 2 minutes for a penalty which is pretty selfish. Ya I'm sure it got them real happy
No he's just a whiney little bitch like the whole team and all of the fans. You guys act like your team is the greatest team in the history of the entire sport of hockey. But when your team loses lose y'all can't show your face. You just hide. Cuz you know you talk too much shit for your team to be able to back up. It's pathetic. Brayden Schenn got his ass whooped and y'all probably were like "yeah look at our guy hitting Landeskogs fists with his face yeah our guys tough". Blues fans are nothing but crybabies.
100%. Cup winning teams rely on goalies getting hot. Since then he’s been subpar at best. I’d be pissed to if I knew my time was almost up in the NHL already
I love the guy from his time in Minny, but at this point Dub couldn’t even stop a beach ball. Dubnyks way more in his own head than that little scrum could have ever caused
@@Christoph5782 Thank you! finally someone that doesnt idolize this guy. As a Minnesota resident I cant stand the guy when everyone else thinks he's a saint just like Parise. I was so excited to see him go. Also to see MN put pucks in the net against him the other night.
I swear, the algorithm is crazy sometimes, this decides to pop up in my recommended after the Pens/Blues game where Binnington had another meltdown after being pulled
Jordan Binnington's infamous comment was "do I look nervous?" Well, when you saw how tall Dubnyk was you immediately retreated from the ice because you knew you'd lose that fight.
True, but the Sharks are just toothless. I'd liked to have seen some old school response, give Binnington a reaction that lets him know he can't just run around and shove three players on the way out. The Sharks have let the Blues dominate physically in every way ever since the hand pass.
@@macmac3374 Cause you know, the refs who come from all over the U.S and out in normal life. They don’t have to wear any..... 🤣 makes no freaking sense! I could get it if some coaches felt like they wanted to, but all and as soon as they get close to players they even take them down.... 🐑 🐑🐑
Y’all are so brain dead. I don’t get how you can deny the existence of a disease if you don’t have any medical education. The American masses are so brainwashed these days. I hope the country can become great again some day
