Thank you for taking the time to do this. What is a tad humbling and painful is that I am doing or have done so much of what you talk about, but it still feels a bit like "the void" that you talk about two years in. My co-host and I believe in what we are doing, and hope that by being prepared and consistent we see that spark lit that will make this more than a hobby. Thanks again.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Greg! It's not uncommon to feel like you're talking to a void, especially in the early stages. What's important is that you and your co-host believe in what you're doing. Your passion and consistency are key components to long-term success. Remember, every successful podcast started with just a few listeners. Keep it going, you both got this! 💪

Can absolutely relate to procrastinating toward (im)perfection. Taken a different path with our new podcast, Snacktown! We’re learning on the job and happy with a handful of downloads two episodes in! Great chat!

I’ve watched this entire episode, and I must say that I’m very appreciative of this conversation. I’m currently producing my own podcast, “bootstrap“ as Jordan has called it I am a New York Creative specializing in photography and commercial voiceover and jingles. I’m also a dad to an amazing 12-year-old that I have a beautiful Coparenting relationship with his mother. I speak about the balance of my creative pursuits and my parenting style. I have no idea where to start as a relates to getting the ball rolling aside from creating short social media snippets of about 15 to 30 seconds… I’m using that content as pre-launch material to drum up, interest about my upcoming podcast, called “ My World from my Living Room… given the theme of your video, I find myself straddling the line of perfectionism and procrastination as well, so this really resonated with me. I’ve always heard that just get started and put something out… But I’ve always heard make high-quality edits and it before releasing. This throws me in a tailspin, I would love to have advice personally as to the best approach to jump into this podcast world. Part of my trepidation thus far has been that it’s over saturated and hard to get seen and heard any advice. Any advice to the contrary would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

My advice would be to give yourself an "editing budget." What's a reasonable amount of time that you can dedicate to editing? Is it none, 1hr, or 4hrs? Once you've picked a limit, stick to it! Just do the best you can within that budget and then publish!

New Podcaster myself and I was wondering the same thing for years before starting. Then I just hit the start button. It's been fun so far. I have a co-host and we talk about anything from cryptic, paranormal activity, to the entertainment realm. I can't wait to see how we fare compared to the ocean of creators. But one thing is for sure, we got the ball rolling! Just do it bro! Figure out the polishing while you're rolling!

Great actionable advice, especially about the episode footer and sponsorships! Btw Jordan, if you're into cryptids, you might enjoy trying to figure out which of the four cryptids is made up in the I Should Have Known podcast episode Beyond Bigfoot: Cryptids! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9gii2p08InE.html
