Misjudgement caused Romania to lose the bronze to begin with an wrongful out of bounds call. Chiles should not have gotten it in the first place.

One of the people on the panel that gave the medal to Romania has represented Romania in the past. Conflict of interest. The judges made the scoring error, and then a biased panelist made a bigger one by not recusing himself.

They should have never stripped her of the bronze medal she won it fair and square

Simone Biles shouldn't have mentioned about creating the first all black gymnastics podium and put race into the discussion in the first place. It rubbed some people the wrong way and this is the tragic result. It's similar to the BLM movement which enraged some folks.

Devastating for Romania not for USA

Gymanistic is a tough and subjective sport. All the girls were great. Jordan Chiles does have an advantage, she will go on all these talk shows and whine how unfair it was, how great she was and no one else deserved the medal, how she will fight for minority gymnasts, get a book and cereal deal. Other gymnasts from countries like Romania don't have that advantage.

So, not only do the judges make errors by not scoring multiple athletes properly (because people on other videos think that Romania's athlete was also scored incorrectly - which SHOULD mean that EVERY athlete's scoring position is in question), not only do they not do their job properly by not telling our coach, at the time, that we were four seconds late in appealing (which means that they agreed that they SHOULD have gave Chiles that additional point), now we were given bad emails to correspond through. And then we're going to be told that WE missed hearings, or failed to submit evidence, after the bad emails thing. But in all of this, Chiles is the one being blamed for everything. Only for her to get racially attacked. And then, lets see what happens next Olympics, and the one after that, and the one after that, and even the Olympics after that, as well. Stop hiring bad judges! Stop failing to train your judges properly! Stop giving people bad emails! And then, stop blaming our athlete for everything! Or USA, just because it's USA. Get your act together, IOC, Swiss Federal Athletics Organization, and everyone else involved! This should not keep happening, but this has been happening for several past Olympics, and it WILL continue to happen multiple times in the future. Whether USA is involved or not. And, stop attacking people's race!

How is this breaking news? It was an unfair call. The whole Olympics was breaking news every day it was so ridiculously unprofessional.

Her mom went to prison for stealing 1 million???? Her parents are pastors? All these lessons paid by someone else. She isnt likeable. She was the weakest on the team i thought.

Sabrina Maneca-Voinea should be the bronze winner if judged correctly. The rest is drama between two competitors that neither deserved the third place on podium, not Jordan, not Ana. I wish them to be better next time and also I hope that the rules will be changed for next Olympics.

I still don’t get what happened!? I get the outcome but how did we get there??? THAT’S what you should be reporting. Not just that there back and forth and missed deadline ….

You know the court of arbitration keep stating that she did not file the appeal in the one minute after she was shown in 5th place and keep speaking of the 4 seconds. So she did win the medal because they only have the 4 second that they keep bring up not her skill and abilities/ her performance on the floor, and the 4second could have been from the process not them to get it in on time. They should be looking at who this need to go to and when they start the process once it was in there hands. New thought let both young ladies performance there route again for a tiebreaker and do not have either country judges on that panel and let see who will win it

There's people saying she won, she didn't. They only hiked her score because her coach complained. They want to fix this? Have both routines be judged once again in court. But by a different judges than the ones that judged the Olympics. Fair thing to do is that. There's people saying not to give the medal back. She can keep the medal but she can be banned from the Olympics. She can be banned from any competitions that she has to meet so she can be in the Olympics. That whole thing is a mess that made two Countries look bad and one looks worst than the other.

The Romanians also filed a counter claim falsely accusing the US of filing their appeal 4 seconds too late which they knew wasn't true. This was a legal maneuver to give them an advantage in attempting to have the medal reinstated falsely to Ana Barbosa.

A Romanian gymnast fights for a 3rd place medal, Jordan Chiles has earned a gold medal through a group performance. Romania didn’t have that option Chiles could potentially earn a gold medal in 4 years!

It's sad that the once powerhouse for gymnastics that Romania was has devolved into this level of patheticness that they have to scam to get medals, honestly I wouldn't even want it because it will always be tarnished as stolen goods, I mean what endorsements will even touch this outside of Romania.

Jordan should ask for compensations from romania. I don't know why her family doesn't push for it. This is not about the medal anymore. There was no place for racial insults here. This is the real face of romanians and not that fake one of being submissive to americans everywhere they go. The black people did nothing to romanians and they still showed racism towards them. I fully respect the ottoman empire now and they should've been still alive today.
