He was so wrong about him. I want hologram Lara to test him too. I want to hear what she thinks about his power level now that he has had a chance to develop them
Remember that Jor-El is only a recording being simulated by AI. When Zeta-Rho's mind was downloaded into Jordan, he had a completely different take on the situation that he outright told Superman: "He's the perfect vessel. The *untapped* power of Kryptonian, with the easily-manipulated mind of a human. Now I will mold both into proper greatness." It's pretty obvious that Zeta-Rho had Tal kidnap Jordan because he wanted a host body with *real* Kryptonian powers, not a human pumped full of X-K.
@@mohamedjama1196 - While they never said it outright, I had the impression that the bodies that they were downloading Kryptonian minds into were going to need to continue to take X-K to retain their powers. Zeta-Rho didn't want that for himself, just like he didn't want it for Zod. Jordan's Kryptonian genes are obviously dominant based on his powers. So Zeta-rho wanted Jordan's body so that he would have *natural* Kryptonian powers. He could always use X-K to boost them (like steroids) if he felt the need. But he would not lose his powers if deprived of X-K.
Jor-El made an assessment and came up with the most likely and probable outcome but there has never been a specimen like Jordan in the Kryptonian or Earth knowledge bases so he couldn't know for sure what would actually transpire with Jordans developing powers. he made that call a little too early. x kryptonite could make Jordan insane potentially.
I musta rewinded it a dozen times to watch the moment he took off. So epic........so far every episode with Jordan's powers have topped every expectation.
Awesome scene, love the little detail at 2:10 where Jordans anxiety kicks in, still keeping with his character development. Superboy battling anxiety issues makes for a much better character then some OP kryptonian.
In Anne Rice's vampire novels, the protagonist Lestat muses at one point that of all the powers he has, flight is the most "unnatural". Even compared to things like telepathy and astral projection. Because humans simply have no frame of reference for flying unsupported. Jordan just went miles into the air and suddenly realized how far off the ground he was. He doesn't know how to *control* his flight yet. So he panicked.
Totally agree. I love that we finally have a superhero that deals with anxiety. I've dealt with that my entire life so it feels nice to see it represented in a good way here.
@@pyromaniac034 I don't see how it's anxiety when he suddenly realizes he's miles in the air with no way to consciously control his flight. You'd panic too in that situation.
@@DavidNicholson101 on God ppl just trying too hard to add mental health into the picture so they can say shit like "oH mY gOd tHaT mAkEs tHe cHaRaCtEr sO rElaTaBlE" bruh anyone flying for the first time without realising is going to panic stop tryna force shit please
Jon-El had it coming. It was satisfying for me to watch Jordan get the upper hand. Jordan has grown much in character and strength. Jon-El is a dick who turned his back on those who love him.
In fairness, Superman would have felt guilty punching out a 15 year old. Jordan is a 15 year old. So Clark doesn't need to feel guilty about it. His son was just handling the other teen.
At first I was like come on Jordan he is beating the heck out of you. Then I realized Jordan is smart. He remembered what his dad had said about the sun making Jon weak. Jordan flew out of adrenaline and instinct. He didn't think he just did it. Once he realized he was airborne he panicked. Like when you hurt yourself but don't feel it til you look at it.
Nothing makes you more conscious about your injury than having to watch a 6 inch stainless steel knife sticking out of your gut after an intense fight with the local hoodlum.
It's crazy cuz Jordan isn't supposed to be superboy, and when he started out everyone hated his guts... The development is insane, how he proves his parents, his brother and everyone that he is superboy.
I just knew my boy Jordan was gonna fly bc Jon-El seemed to powerful to go up against Jordan that ending music was amazing this episode this episode was amazing aswell
What I think is pretty cool about this fight is it emphasises what Clark said earlier. Jonathan El should be weaker now when exposed to our yellow sun. When Jordon tried to tackle Jonathan El the first time, it was nighttime so Jordon didn't have that advantage against a more experienced Superboy. But in this fight, the glare of the yellow sun in the camera shot is obvious, and both Jordon and Jonathan El are both directly exposed to it. While Jonathan El is getting progressively weaker with each punch he throws, the yellow sun is recharging and healing Jordon. Whether this was Jordon's plan or not, he essentially won the fight by tanking the punches, letting Jonathan El tire himself out, before kicking his ass into orbit.
I know superman said that the bizarro‘s with power should become weaker overtime on their earth and home-field advantage. However, this doesn’t appear to be the case. The main heroes can become weaker in the bizarro world overtime. But it doesn’t appear that the Bizarro’s get weaker at all in our dimension. Go back and watch this fight, Jon-El did not appear to get weaker. Jordan was getting stronger. So much so, it made Jon-El look weaker in comparison. I luv the smallville moment Jordan gave us with that power up and beat down. Reminded me of Clark vs Bizzaro Clark in Smallville.
The flight issue reminds me of Jordan's heat vision when it first manifested. It was either on or off. He couldn't move the dial. Flight seems to be the same. He took off like a rocket. But once he was airborne and no longer fighting, he couldn't figure out how to fine tune it enough to just stay aloft or maneuver. But now that Clark has seen Jordan use this power, he can start teaching him. Meanwhile, I assume that it shouldn't be hard for Sam to arrange for an X-K cell to keep Jon-El in. Especially since Clark and Jordan would be able to come visit without any problems. I still have this theory that Ally is a Parasite. Her personality doesn't strike me as the kind to share power. So I think she needs her followers to merge with their other selves in order to generate whatever energy it is that feeds her. That would explain why she sent Bizarro Lana through. To find out why Jon-El was taking so long with the pendant, and to merge with Prime Lana.
Trust me when you are just all by yourself 6-7 km above the clouds with space above and big huge earth beneath you ... The other fear os of getting lost. from point of earth up you could be any in middle of ocean. It is pretty darn scary. esp for first time.
On 1:35 I was like oh shit it's payback time and on 1:47 it was nice to finally see Jordan legit fly. When he saved Kyle from the fire it seemed more like he was just super leaping out the window. I also like that it showed he didn't completely get the hang of it the 1st time since it's 1 of the more advanced kryptonian powers and it takes time to master it properly not to mention it keeps up with Jordan's character arc in dealing with anxiety. Edit: Did anyone else notice on 2:02 how when Jon-El and Jordan were fighting in the air that Jon-El didn't have his gloves on while holding Jordan, but on 2:34 he had his gloves back on?
Jordan Elsas's acting versatility has been impressive. His portrayal of Jonathan and of Jon-L is are so very different but both very believable. Even though both characters are alienated from their fathers, physical resemblance notwithstanding, they are nothing alike.
I hope so. I hope he surpasses everyone's expectations including his own and either reaches his father's power level or goes beyond it. He was told that he's weak or inferior so often that he had started to believe it himself. Once he breaks that cycle of negative thinking, he's going to take a real turn for the better.
2:23 That's more than just pure Superman. That's pure dad. It doesn't matter if the version of Jonathan that Jordan is fighting is Natalie from another world but also twisted; Clark recognizes his doppelgänger failed his family and that's where this kid's pain comes from, so he would never let him fall. Hell, he will not let anyone fall. But it's a shame that bizarro Jonathan didn't get emotionally affected by this decision.
@@senister14 - Yeah, committing murders when you're 15 kind of indicates that you are a sociopath and you're not just going to see the light because somebody does you a kindness. No matter what George Lucas may think.
Jordan’s first Time with the flaying power!! Yay, I have hoped he would get it!! I love seeing him kick someone’s ass, even if it looks like his brother!
I loved this fight mainly because I put more attention to detail into it than I realised. Jonathan-el is as strong as Superman but lost this fight since the Yellow sun was weakening him while it was making Jordan Kent stronger to the point where he “flew” a little bit more than usual and for Jordan being closer to the sun he was getting stronger while Jon-el was getting even weaker. What terrifies me tho is that Jordan risked not being able to come back down and you can see how scared he was, made me feel for him & was acted out very well by Alex Garfin.
@@iam.cb99 - Yes, in the comics Jonathan Kent (currently acting Superman) has been demonstrating powers that even his father doesn't have. Batman attributes this to hybrid vigor.
After watching the first episode of Superman and Lois, I thought Jordan was going to be the drag of the show, you know skip the scene whenever he comes on, but I've come to really like and enjoy the character!
He really has grown, the scene where he tells his mum, "you should have asked me first before talking with Sarah" would have gone differently before. We love to see growth!!
I still don’t like him he was just as annoying as he was in this episode compared to the first, I mean a lot is going on and all he cares about is his relationship with Sarah so yeah he’s still annoying🤷♂️💁
0:54 I loved that , that's the kind of villain I want to see ,hope they don't kill him off He's like Geoffrey of Games of thrones , Moriarty of BBC Sherlock Holmes
Super Renai, I just want to Thank You!!! for your great job in uploading clips. I can follow the storyline at my own schedule and not have to watch characters I dislike. ( I skip as much Jordan and Lois and Sarah as I can, lol!)
They had to start making Jordan manifest his powers quicker. There’s to many for Clark to handle on his own. If they come to the yellow sun earth then Jordan even with his developing powers would still be an asset. That’s why they made the jump to him flying so fast when he just got the hang of his heat vision and super speed
@@thefilmwatcher1302 I know but he also never showed any sign of speed and was iffy about heat control and then all of a sudden he’s mastered both and then experienced flight right after. I just didn’t expect him to already fly by the 2nd season. I’m not mad or against it but I just thought that would be a season 3 thing. Cuz now we’re basically gonna have another Superman by the beginning of season 3 if he’s already learning to fly by season 2.
@@omarvazquez7241 - Jordan is under a *lot* of pressure to develop quickly though. Just within the last *year* of his life there have been *three* major supervillains and *two* world-spanning threats! To that extent, his development is being forced by the near-constant of state of deadly danger he finds himself and everyone he cares about being in!
I think it's a first we see Jordan fly in the series. We saw him train to be quick and aware of his surroundings. Sure his powers seem limited but he picked up well. I'm curious to see what happens next episode regarding Lana's family after Clark's Superman revelation to Lana
It's a mix of both costumes. The Jacket and pants are from Reign of the Supermen, and the shirt is almost like Connor Kent/Kon-El (the difference is that Jonathan-El's is a blood-dripping Red S like Savior's).
They keep saying that there's going to be a Crossover between Superman & Lois and The Flash this season, my Theory is that Deathstorm came from that empty space that Superman flew through to get to that other earth. What I want to see happen is a Season finale Crossover for both shows were Team Superman and Team Flash fight Deathstorm & Ally's goons with assistance from Supergirl & Martin Manhunter. End The Crossover with Superman and Flash Racing
One of the things I found interesting in the episode, is that after the explosion from our Jonathan and Bizarro Jonathan. Our Jonathan through the rest of the episode started to wear darker black clothes instead. Also arguing with his dad about the identity thing, makes me wonder if he absorbed some of Bizarro Jon's rebel ways and maybe will get darker as the Season goes on, and perhaps will leave it open for him to develop his own Superpowers in some form as well.
I was thinking the same thing. He had to have absorbed something from the experience. I was thinking that he absorbed some of his powers too. I'm going back to watch again because I didnt notice him wearing darker clothes.
I think the anger was a side effect of his Bizarro self being there on their Earth. It's just like what Clark was experiencing with his Bizarro self; like when he got angry at Jordan and Jonathon. Clark said that the anger wasn't his when he was having those outbursts. The anger that Jon feels is largely not his own, it's the Bizarro Jon's anger and resentment at his own father.
Yes Jonathan El will come back for Jonathan soon and Jonathan will get his Full Kryptonian abilities all old abilities and new abilities and yes Jonathan will become Superboy
How is EVERY episode still soooo good?!? 🤔 I can’t believe we have to wait ANOTHER freaking month again it’s ridiculous it JUST came back on! 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I want Kara to guest star on an episode!
I feel like she and Barry will come help clark fight ally as even with jordan, steel, and Tal-Rho and the other bizarro doppelgängers backing him up it still won’t be enough and Barry just keeps leveling up so maybe he can be the one to carry them in the fight against ally
It's like what happened with Mark in Invincible. Clark wasn't constantly being pushed by super-powered beings stronger than him all the time. Jordan knows there are a ton of beings more powerful than him and that he has the potential to reach (if not surpass) it. So its much easier for him to level up. He's basically forced to speedrun his growth to keep up
This show is easily the best superhero show or content ever produced even better than the marvel movies in terms of screen play just keeps getting better and better and better
Jonathan El is strength Jordan but if Jonathan is doppelganger fuse will change everything yes Jonathan abilities will be very different two abilities but the rest of his other abilities tell comes from his father abilities who are known powers will come different from his brothers twist Jordan one abilities and Jonathan will have more abilities then his twin brother
Yeah but that’s if and regardless we all know if they fight Jordan is gonna win because of plot and him being the light superboy while Jonathan is the dark one
jonathan is part kryptonian so if he merged with jon-el couldnt they use Black kryptonite to split them apart because that is what black kryptonite does
BEST FIGHT SCENE EVER!!!!!!!! loved it and yes reason Jordan got upper hand because yellow sun was weaking Jon-EL but if Jordan was on Bizzaro world Jon-EL would get upper hnd as well u think Jon-EL would pick up on that i guess not? and jordan flew was best got superboy vibes yes he falling but superman needs train him how fly so next time he wont worrying falling
This was well handled. Jonathan has more experience with his powers, but Jordan had home advantage and his brother's life was on the line. That's why he beat him. I am thankful he didn't suddenly gain power because of a pep talk from Lois/Jon.
But no doubt, he will reach the level as his father or even stronger because he has the power to elevate his strength to the highest level he can potentially reach
Yea but that literally goes both ways one or the other is bound to be weaker so they kinda equal out both could only beat other cuz of the sun advantage
Thats true but it goes to show that the smarter one comes out in the end lol, not sure was bizzaro Jonathans plan was, fighting him in broad daylight infront of the yellow sun, knowing it would weaken him as it heals the guy he is fighting
@@willclin2074 I think bizzaro Jonathan is stronger and has more experience than jordan since he had more experience outside on the field with superman and maybe tal ro off screen and lana since they all worked together while jordan trained in secret with his grandfather.
@@t_r_a_y_e9858 I think he had no choice like he had to take the opportunity since superman was down. He also was cocky since he thought less oh his own brother on the bizzaro world.
I know it would be anticlimactic. But Jordan should have given Jonathan El the gaze of oblivion. A lobotomy through his eyes. Similar to what happened in the animated movie to Doomsday. If you F' with famil? You get what you deserve.
