To be honest, they both raised their voices. And Destiny even said on his stream that he liked the fact that JP was able to raise and lower his levels of excitement through out the discussion, because Destiny enjoys dong that too.

i agree with jordan here, i can understand why he's getting so animated, especially as an actual therapist... some pharmaceuticals are harmless. some aren't. and some of the ones that aren't, are actually really terrible. anyone with experience trying to get off antipsychotics or medications can attest to this... some of the side effects alone are pretty insane. don't agree with h3 here, you guys have too much faith in big pharma. i'm not even a conspiracy nut, just not on board with the way jordans opinion is getting dismissed on the basis that it's jordan and he's getting emotional about topics that are actually quite important

I think as a psychologist I can see why he has an inherent distrust in the pharm industry. The DSM 5 Committee that reviewed what went into the manual was heavily staffed with representatives from the largest pharma companies in the US. Several conditions were removed, revised, or added to in ways that increased the amounts of prescriptions being given for psychiatric conditions. In some cases, wildly inappropriately. I would like to add that many of these revisions and additions had absolutely no research backing whatsoever. Some of the additions also caused a huge amount of medical anxiety in patients and have contributed to the distrust much on the gen pop feels towards modern medicine. Which has fuelled the views people like Peterson have about the medical model in general. This has caused further damage by leading to a resurgence in conditions we had once thought all but eradicated. Then there are incidents such as Bayer allowing AIDs infected blood to be sold to African nations because they didn't want to lose money if they had to destroy the product. These companies are corrupt. He is correct. Any company that is facilitating a service provision for what should be a human right is not doing it out of the goodness of their heart. Yes the medicine works, but not everything these companies do is good. Vaccinate your fucking kids though please. I work in primary care and we've had a measles outbreak in my area and it's not good. Fucking hell people. We've had these vaccines for years, you've had those fucking vaccines. Protect your damn kids.

Okay speaking of getting a lot of vaccines at once, i have really bad needle phobia since i was a kid. And when i was 11 i got a round of about 4/5 shots at once. Numbing cream and a vibrating ice pack was involved. The nurse told me that the tetanus one might hurt a little more than the others. This made me tense up [also sky rocketed my blood pressure i think]. Because when she went to jab me i sprayed blood all over her and myself. My favorite medical story to tell. I feel special bc she said shes never seen that before

I think it's funny how the conversation is typically meant to potentially bridge a divide. Peterson literally always gets worked up in a highly intellectual conversation he hardly ever has any of those with anyone. everyone just still attacks each other's character. I know H3 and just about every person who watches youtube conversations dont actually see whats going on between the speakers but are instead looking to see who the think is "winning" and trying to find ways to justify not paying attention. Peterson is a psychologist and has been for decades. His literal profession his entire life was to understand how people think. Peterson didnt "lose it" he each of the subtle tricks destiny was playing, and he was deliberately making sure that destiny knew not that he sees through him, but that his trick aren't going to work

Whenever Jordan Peterson started his "People leave the doctor sicker than they came," I thought "Hope Dad's cancer doesn't come back." Guess what happened? Our family doc told him to see his oncologist to check up on that benign small mass in his lung. He didn't. He didn't see the oncologist until it became cancerous and metastasized to his brain, and gave him a seizure when he was out walking the dog one day. I hate Jordan Peterson
