I've wat he'd alot of his videos with his side (right wing) and against his 'enemies' (the lefties) over the years. I believe when he first rose to prominence he was genuine however I think now he panders more and more to the right wing. He speaks on things that he isn't qualified...for example when he was in Australia he addressed the housing crisis whilst trying to apply simplistic methods that wouldn't work here, he also speaks about climate change while not being an expert on it. It's good to have an opinion but in this situation he is leading alot of people down the wrong path. He's got a good message and should stick to his lane.

The reason he got emotional is because society right now has a way to trying to not just disagree, but destroy a person. It doesn't matter whether you're left or right. We have had a tendency, especially over the last 15 years, to treat those we disagree with as less than human. Jordan got emotional because of the quotes piers was using regarding the incels. But his message gets distorted, many a time. I’ve seen many of his videos and at first I have to admit,was impressed. He is a well spoken, intelligent wordsmith. But all these things don’t necessarily equate to having well rounded “good” intentions. Ironically enough, that’s how he rose to some kind of prominence because he viewed Bill C 16 in Canadian law as some kind of imaginary authoritarian forcing of penalizing anyone who did not acknowledge a transgender man or woman by their preferred pronouns. Even though the law says nothing of the sort. Honestly if he had read the law he would notice, however his comments clearly indicate that he didn’t even bother to read it. It was so bad that he needed basically the Bar Association of Toronto to set the record straight. And to this day not one single person has been sent to prison because they did not acknowledge a transgender woman or man by their preferred pronouns. Also he seems to have it in his rather scrambled egg brain that the best solution for violence against women with regards to the “incels” is to try to build a society that enforces monogamy amongst women. In his mind, the best way to negate violence of men against women is to make women somehow subjugate to men even if they are not particularly attracted to such men. He justifies this with a bunch of pseudo intellectualism, but he seems to think his position is virtuous because he does not support government enforcement of his little concept of monogamy. I do actually kind of agree with you. I'm on the left and don't like Peterson, but I totally recognise that lefties do often do this to him. There are real reasons to oppose his politics, but people often just mock him instead. What I will say to you is that it's not because they have nothing else to say. The reason left wing people do this is that, as well as being wrong, he is also extremely funny and mockable; and mocking someone as funny as Peterson is a lot more fun than a sober, careful political discussion, so people gravitate towards that. But I do understand where you're coming from. I can see how it would be frustrating to be on the other side of this and want a genuine discussion and just be met with mockery rather than real arguments. In my opinion the left does have the best arguments, but we tend to avoid actually making them and instead go to either mockery or moral condemnation. There are reasons why we do that too, for instance a lot of leftists cut their political teeth opposing Fascists who it's pointless and sometimes even counterproductive to approach in good faith. Going to mockery and condemnation over rational argument is the appropriate strategy with Fascists. But I think we might have gone a bit overboard and people often use tactics and techniques that are meant specifically for Fascists on everyone they are trying to oppose on the right and centre, and even sometimes on other leftists. The idea that you can solve every political conflict with a reasonable conversation is wrong, and the left has successfully learned that lesson, but that doesn't mean we should just completely refuse to engage with right wingers altogether.

Which as of late has seemed to be more right leaning. I grew up left but in this forthcoming of this new modern society I started to see majority of left arguments crumble as soon as objective facts were introduced into the situation and I would try to fight back with left ideologies but often found myself speechless in the face of right wing ideologies. So I unintentionally switched right wing like 2 years ago without even realizing it. Now there are topics on the left I agree with but majority of my believes are right winged. Now, that is not to say I don’t acknowledge subjective truth but often time even subjective truth has to have some inklings of objective truth to truly stand on. Per instance, Peterson mentioned earlier in this full interview that there are subjective truths such as pain. If you say you are in pain I have no way to truly know the extent or realness of that pain from my mind to yours. It’s something I have to believe in good faith. BUT yet we there are studies and research done to prove that chemically in the mind and body things happen when one experiences pain. So yet there is still a way to objectively prove pain to be a real thing. My problem with the left is that often times. There is no need or want for objective truth in majority of their arguments and they only argue subjective feelings and ideas. Which for me is difficult to gravitate towards when there is rarely any facts to support these claims. Even in this video which is my first “left video” in some months, I decided to watch because I wanted to see what argument someone on the left would have and I was sadly disappointed. I truly was sad because I hoped I could hear something that would make me say “ they have a point.” My problem is that we have completely abandoned truth. And substituted it ideas with no true objective footing. Which I am worried will have bad repercussions on the youth and next generations. Lastly, the hate for Peterson is grossly unjust and unjustifiable. They say “it’s what he’s telling the youth” that’s the problem. But no one in the left has ever pulled anything from any of his lectures, podcast, interviews etc that could be labeled “evil” , “toxic”, “dangerous”. Not one. Regardless of the other 95% of truly impactful content he promotes. That is truly terrible. Instead we listen to people like these who come on a podcast and lie..because they fit the narrative. Because he’s a grown man crying over how little boys that sit in front of computer screens and say wild shit about women have a hard time getting laid. Defending people that cry about not getting women until they snap and kill some women is the disgusting behavior here. Pretending they have ANY valid points is disgusting. Peterson and all his fans are worthy of ridicule and being laughed at.

They are rather keyboard warriors ranting from their safe space of their basement against people they cannot comprehend.

U need to look at yourself in the mirror and actually differentiate between lies you think you know and the truth you think you know. Actually analyse them yourself the answer will be way of Jordan Peterson's path. Because truth trumps all there is no winner but the truth no matter HOW UGLY.
