Wallahi, when he said Quran is a physical cure, it reminded me of when my wife was pregnant in to her 7th or 8th month and she had extremely bad pain in her stomach for a few days. After a checkup, the doctor said she has complications and that delivering is a risk to her life. She was so petrified! I spoke to a pious man I know, told him her state and he told me that she recite surah Mariam. That very night my wife recited surah Mariam and went to sleep with the pain. Next morning, she woke up with no pain at all! Like it was never there! When she first realised that the pain was gone, she couldn't believe it, she had to touch her stomach to check if the baby's still there. After that night, that pain never returned. This was the biggest miracle of Quran we experienced!

Before I took shahada and was reading the Qur'an I heard the athan in my dreams not knowing what it was as I'd never heard it before in my life. It was only after taking shahada and when I attended my first Salah which was a jummah salah (Friday prayer) I heard it. I asked one of the brothers what he was singing before the prayer and he said, he wasn't singing, he was doing the call to pray. I told him I heard it in my dream without hearing it before my dream and he smiled. SubhanAllah, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala works in beautiful ways. Being a Muslim is amazing, it's such a beautiful way of life and when the Quran is recited properly it is so soothing and therapeutic, it makes you smile, takes away stress and so much more subhanAllah.

Someone like Jordan Peterson could easily become a Muslim based on the similarity between Islam this guy's specific intellectuality and his opinions and thoughts that he formed on his arguments and interviews that I saw. Jordan was clearly affected by the recitation so he was afraid that it maybe something Magical that gonna alter his life in some sort and he suspected that Hijab wanted to enchant him or something .. Well obviously Mohamad just wanted to give him an experience and to let him taste a bit of Quran as that's how the scientific methodology is all about "observe and experience then make assumptions" .. Nothing to worry about Jordan, and what you felt inside you when you were hearing the Quran you will get everytime wither someone is reciting for you specifically or you play it on RU-vid yourself .. Quran is what makes you feel peace even when everything around you is a mess .. And you should try it by your own self by listening to random Quran videos on RU-vid or anywhere else .. Any recitation any video any clip .. Doesn't matter as far as it is Quran .. You'll surely find peace and calm .. I knew a christian who cannot sleep unless he play Quran every night .. How can Mohamad Hijab make you see that just by telling you stories? Instead he thought of letting you experience it yohrself. ❤🌼

I would have loved for this discussion to have more focus on the fundamental principles of Islam as this would have oriented Dr Jordan Peterson’s understanding of Islam; the key principles, practical elements of Islam, the Quran and how it is preserved, haram and halal, (Dr Peterson personally is big on rules, has a book on them) the 99 names of Allah and how we can try to know Allah through his names and attributes, also 5 daily prayers, Ramadan, Eid and how these help maintain structure and order particularly as Dr Peterson writes extensively on order. Moreover, a discussion on how life is a test and how Islam promotes patience, unity, introspection, rights and responsibilities of a husband/wife duties to mother/father, duties to the family, the neighbours, community etc. I feel this really correlates with Dr Peterson’s beliefs particularly as much of his written work centres around suffering, meaning, self development and I think this would really have made it a more personal discussion allowing Dr Peterson to find personal familiarity and comfort with Islam particularly as at the end I got the sense he wanted more from the discussion and was trying to get deeper. Nevertheless amazing watch, love Dr Peterson’s sincerity, humility and the preciseness In which he articulates himself. I feel he’s left unfulfilled and left wanting with Christianity. I think he would be really drawn to the structure Islam brings to daily life The fact the above wasn’t done wasn’t anyone’s fault of course, the discussion took a different path and I appreciate these are really specific topics and it is difficult to cover everything. I think Brother Hijab did amazingly well, I would love to see Dr Peterson and Sheikh Hamza Yusuf collab, Sheikh Hamza would further bring forth the compassionate, warm and caring nature of the Islamic tradition.

"Quran is a physical cure" absolutely. I felt it yesterday too. I didnt have much sleep also forgot to take my medications in the morning so at my job I felt dizzy and was shivering. I thought I should listen to something from Quran before starting and Surah Duha should works best at times like this. So I listened to that just once coz I didn't have much time. But instantly I felt much better. Alhamdulillah! I planned to memorize it, I am bad at memorizing so plz pray for me.

Brother Hijab answered that question pretty strategically. He actually meant to say "I recited 2 very powerful verses for it to have a divine effect on you and In Sha Allah make you Muslim".

When MH started reciting the Quran I thought why is he doing that on a podcast , but the recitation gave me Goose bumps and I was reminded by Allah the power of his words. As a Muslim, I found you very manipulative to keep reciting something the guy does not understand. I think he made it clear from his question, but in a respectful manner, that you are being weird reciting in Arabic to a foreigner like him. When he asked you after your recitation, that already implies that he did not get affected by the qualities you mentioned. Also please upload such videos without the Islamic music in the background. This also counts as manipulation to your audience.

I don't call myself "religious".... but I've been studying Islam and Sufism for many years now. The amount of beauty and wisdom in Sufism is staggering and has influenced much of the West without us not even knowing it; everything from chemistry to Jung's collective unconscious.

Yesterday I was discussing it with my wife that I wish that someone with intellectual mind similar to JP’S introduce the true face of islam to him and here I found this video , thank you brother MH for interacting with him. JP is a brilliant brilliant guy I will pray that may ALLAH SWT open his heart to the teachings of Islam.

No one but JP would Pinpoint a question that way! usually, people will just listen, but he asked a question that was valid and I am so glad that he did, because MH justified the very question that I had in my mind, and it was perfect. I have to say that JP really looks as if he is soo tired, I hope everything is ok with him. May Allah SWT blesses him and his family with health and prosperity, I heard his interview with Russell Brant and he was talking about how poorly he has been, and how it has affected him and his family.

It didn't look like he like it or appreciated the recitation. He slightly hinted that may be it was not needed.

This is how one seek knowledge. No interruptions between answers. One ask, one shall answer if he can. And while he answers, the other listens. Should question arise, ask again when he finishes speaking. It kills me inside to see interruptions in a conversation, especially when we are learning in school, as I grow up with this kind of manner, alhamdulillah.

Clearly ya'll didn't get it because you want to see things the way you hope to see them! Jordan asked him "why did you do that?" because he felt the psychological attempt of a salesperson trying to sell Islam with the rythem of his voice. Jordan then asked "when do you know if that's appropriate?" - abviously because it wasn't appropriate. Finally, the part that was cut off from this clip at the end, was when Jordan asked Mr.Beard guy "why is this making you laugh?" . Well abviously because Jordan realized that Mr.Beard knew he was cornered. Another one when he said "if one of islams true signs is the rapid expansion, why did it stop at the gates of Europe?" Mr.Beard guy was looking all over the place for an exit answer lol. Think outside the box!

Muhammad Hijab should have recited the following surah of the Quran to Jordan Peterson and also with the tafsir in order to receive guidance from Allah. Quran (23:5-6) - "..who abstain from sex, except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess..." Quran (4:24) - "And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess." Tell Jordan Peterson that Allah used precious space in His holy book to repeat the same thing four times about making women prisoners of war as sex slaves for Muslim men (even with the married ones) because that was a very special gift to Muhammad and his followers who could not keep their penis out of their pants after they have done their jihad and fight for Allah. Indeed, Allah is merciful and compassionate.
