Jackson coming in hot with the truth bombs haha. Appreciate you pushing through, especially since this did not seem like a very enjoyable experience in these. Upon first glance, I thought that those neon pieces were all foam. As soon as you said that medial piece was rubber, I already started to draw my conclusions. It just amazes me that Tatum can get loose and drop 30-40 on the regular in something clunky like these.
Great, necessary and well done weartest video. All I could think all through the video was "once discounted, these could have been a great outdoor option if they made proper outsoles like they used to". I live where basketball is predominantly played outdoors and shudder to think what options kids who like/love Nike/Jordan nowadays have, if they have any at all. Hopefully they're subscribed to Weartesters and are exposed to the bangers the Chinese brands have for outside options.
I love the looks. I think I’ll end up grabbing a pair just because but imma wait till they go on sale. Sucks bc I’ve heard so many negative things about them
Love the way these look but I have wide feet and I already know I would hate them and never wear them bc of how uncomfortable they’d be. Thanks for your honesty
So Chris, see some shots of you in these Awful JT 2's. What's your performance review of these in the short time playing in them ? As Jackson states this model is really Meh... Great content as usual !!!
Yup i had the same one in the video but end up returning it, too stiff and too narrow i have the same issues what he mentioned, tatum 1 is better than tatum 2 in my opinion
The only way I would take these shoes is if I could have 2 pair. One pair to crap on and one pair to cover the pile with. Honestly I'd rather play a tourney in a pair of Reebok Questions than most of the "new/innovative tech" shoes that have came out in the last 5 years. I have 5 pairs that I rotate for hoopin'. Reebok Question Mid, 2 Pair of Jordan 35's, Jordan 11s, and Jordan Maxin 200 The Jordan 11 Concorde and the 2 Jordan 35s are for indoor play ONLY because I don't wanna shred those 11s and the 35s tread is so shallow, the tongue-scraper on the back of my toothbrush has more tread, and outdoor wear will eat them alive. I play in the Maxin 200's and the Question mids for outdoor because they are sturdy, light, and the materials aren't bad. .... And I wouldn't trade any of them for these Tatums. Just sayin'.
Shame. I feel like Tatum is 0 for 2 on his shoes. Could be me, but it seems like ever since Zion and Grant Williams blew out their shoes in game, all shoe manufacturers are adding excess material in that area. Look at the New Hardens and the AE, same concept I believe.
These looked like the most 5/10 shoe when they announced it. The Tatum 1 was interesting but also a let down because of the foam heel but this is just so meh
Currently playing in the Stewie 2 'Earth' but pretty disappointed by the traction and durability of the outsole (indoor only, pretty clean court). Two of my all-time favorite shoes to hoop in are the Nike Hyperdunk 2011 Low and the Anta KT3 Low. Anything on the market today that will provide a similar experience? Thank you so much for any advice given. @weartesters
They look like a children's version of an adult shoe. Like it's missing elements or something. Either way they're not very appealing, The side looks like an outsole stuck on the side lol.
Ugliest shoe I’ve ever seen ✅ Worst performer based on reviews ✅ Between these and Zions, new Jordan models are absolutely 🗑️ they’re not even trying anymore
On the flip side, the Luka 2s are great in my opinion. Bought a pair on sale recently, and I absolutely love them. But I completely agree about the JT's. Both models are just awful.
Why are they doing their new athletes so dirty?? Do they not want them to stick around?! Tatum, Giannis, why do they not get something good like a Lebron or KD?
