early 2000s vibes

I'm wide-footed, so zion 2 fits perfectly on me. Lovin' the 90s vibe as well since I grew up in that era.

Tempted by these. Ive been searching for an outdoor hoop shoe for awhile now, but everytime I think I found one I find them either outrageously expensive or sold out but Zions shoes always seem to be in stock where I live. Love to get another outdoor hoop shoe guide video.

Kind of reminds me of the Jordan 8 a bit

the design is ok I just don't like the forefoot strap. I think for a big guy like Zion they should've made a foamposite like design that is the most protection and robust sneaker design in my opinion.

I totally feel the zoom in my pair. Not super bouncy but just the right amount of energy return. I also feel the air strobile unit. Very comfy on foot and stylish.

What's the purple colourway everyone's talking about? I've only seen these, the voodoos and the dynamic turquoise. Someone link me a pic.

These are a throwback look that's why I love them! They remind me of the Andre Agassi huraches

I'm 41 and even if the materials are cheap, I'm glad to see old school looks in a modern signature shoe, I think those look great, purple colorway is lit!

My first impression of these was wow they look awesome, future retro and rugged even the strap with the rubber cup sole looks like your foot ain’t bussin outta there mid game 😉. But if the materials are whack those looks might be for nothing…that’s a real shame man 😞

I got the voodoo zion 2. I really like the sneaker. canvas material feels good on foot. the looks are amazing. I'm a heavy dude(muscle not fat lol). so I do feel the zoom in the forefoot. have no problem with the width as a wide footer.

Surprised about the lack of cushion in the forefoot experienced by Chris. I got the Voodoo color way a couple weeks ago, and the shoe had fantastic step in comfort. There was also concern about materials with this color way-the Voodoo color way had great materials imo; sturdy build with an interesting patchwork design. Also, didn’t feel like it was roomy in the forefoot but I did feel like my heel wasn’t as secure as I like (though, my reference is the Kobe 5 and 6s which have legendary lockdown). As reference, I’m a slim guard with a narrow foot, so the video review was surprising for me as it relates the cushion and wider forefoot. Maybe it has to do with differences between pairs or differences between color ways. Either way, I thought the Voodoo colorway was a well-executed shoe.

Idk if it’s just me but they look like the DRose 1 model. that Jamal Murray was wearing in the bubble.

Finally they put it as zoom air and not air zoom anymore

The overall shape of the silhouette reminds me of the Melo 1.5

I picked up the whites. The gold hits are tight and the light gray swirl on the outer soul is dope too. Big 90s vibes with the strap. I love them

I bought 3 pairs, especially as they are on sale now and so cheap. Probably the most comfortable shoes I have bought, I use them for playing and also when I am coaching badminton. ;)

I got the Voo Doo colorway. Great looking shoe. First off, lots of genuine suede (but $20 more). Didn't get the bunching Chris mentioned on the strap, maybe because of the "hemp" fabric is stiffer than the mesh on the Hope Diamond colorway, so moves less independent of the strap. I'm a wide footer with short toes and these are perfect for me, very rare for my foot. The achilles pads are uncomfy but after a few days wearing around the house they broke in. These shoes really feel LOCKED IN for me, esp when you lace them to the top, but this seems like a shoe that is not for every foot.

Favourite all time shoe. I'm 6'3 220 and wide footed and couldn't ask for a better shoe. Definitely not a shoe for smaller lighter players

I think the Zion 1s look way better. I have 4 different colorways of the Z1.

Video echoes my worries about these. Materials didn't look good. Like the forefoot strap, but it's too far forward so now it bunches up like that. I'd make the midsole thinner, but I think maybe they were actually trying to accommodate a player of Zion's size. I think he has the same issue Lebron shoes have where they're overbuilt for the average person.

Jus got the Voodoo colorway other day. Super dope!! But I hate those heel cushion pads..

When you were talking about the materials, I wish you mentioned the other colorways. Like the Voodoo's for example. There's also a purple raptors colorway I think Chris would love. The other two seem to have premium materials

So weird the upper and laces are a blue-ish white. Good looks...hope they perform on court.

These are light years better looking than the first ones. Kind of wish they went with a full length zoom strobel or a forefoot zoom strobel with the air unit in the heel. Still nice review and can’t wait to cop the new Jordan 4 tee.

It’s a no go for me ima go with kd signature and Gianni’s or bron signature. The up and comers just not doing it for me they going the cheap route and that’s sad I need premium materials when we hooping it is never good when u cut corners on anything it’s a pass for me

Lowkey feels like a westbrook shoe with a hint of the older Melo’s. One of his older ones for some reason. I like them though. WAAAYYY better than Zions first one

I am with you I like the design of the sneaker, when it comes to cushioning I think Zion is the be all end all of maximum wear testing.If it works for him it will work for anyone but then again he'll probably swap a new pair every game.

Miss the days when a signature looked like a signature. I agree that Jordan brand should've stepped it up at least a notch

The encapsulated forefoot zoom is actually double stacked, I didn’t feel it super crazy outta the box but after breaking it in just a bit I feel it just as much as my Kyrie 8s and Jordan 36 I actually feel these are the most responsive and snappy not having any foam compressing outward the cupsole keeps everything straight up and down and it concentrates all that force into the double stacked encapsulated foam. My second favorite forefoot setup only outdone by the GT jump.

I got the VooDoo waiting on them, glad to know it a wide footer shoe. So the padding isn't as good as the ones? I saw a review that the padding gives with the more pounds of pressure you exert So it could be a shoe for bigger baller? I can wait to see.

The Voodoo felt like their ‘premium edition’ of this sneaker so far.

Was checking out the voodoo colorway on foot doc Zach this morning. Really digging these all around.......after finishing the video I really think I only like the voodoo's because the materials on this one and the way the strap flexes the shoe is cah cah.

Between the Zion 2 and the Nike GT Jump 2, which one do you recommend? (I'm at least 6'4 feet tall with a weight of 121 KG and I play as a centre/post player)

You gotta commend Zion for already having 2 signature shoe despite him being not available in all of the season and in most of their games. The potential is absurd! Other than that, nice shoe tho! 💪🏻

I'm confused - what's blue? I mean, obviously, the crazy print on the rear is primarily blue, but that can't be confused with white.... Are all the parts that look white actually blue?

Like the 90s vibe and wide last and heavy guy strap. Not down w the halfway strobel. Just fucking go all the way w. the comfort closest to the foot. Otherwise dont call it a strobel.

Yeah I’m going to be the only one in this thread apparently to keep it a buck. This shoe is ugly AF. Reminds of a bullet proof vest wrapped in a straight jacket fitted for a fat man’s foot.

Aren't the Zion 2s only $120 though? Maybe that's why the materials aren't as great

Jordan has been releasing some mediocre models for the past 15 years... like you said, it´s about revenue, not the product...

Maybe other colourways will have better materials, which is s shame, because I think this colourway is amazing

The shape of the shoes look like melo 1.5 or melo’s first signature shoe. Those need a retro.

I’ve been waiting for these. Can’t find them in person at a store yet. I want to try the voodoo cw. Tbh, companies that think too much of profit are bad for the people/consumers.

That "half blue" almost white color is unique and has me tempted to cop these. I'm not to stoked on the colorful graphic panel on the heel, but the overall design and style look so dope on feet that for 120 don't think i can resist.

I thought I was the only one feeling the 90’s vibe on this. I saw this shoe at Nike store last week, the purple cw, and it took me back to the 90’s! The styling, the strap, the combination of mesh and brushed nubuck. (And the feel of that brushed nubuck) Kinda reminded me of Barkley’s shoes. Even the “Zion” on the sole is reminescent of CB34 Godzilla’s sole.

For $120 can't beat these so dope nostalgic look and love the strap, just hope they perform 🙏🙏

I'm disappointed in all of Zion's shoes except for the 34 Bayou boys which was amazing for performance and aesthetics. Love the 34 and that might be the lightest shoe I've ever put on my feet. The 34 se was even better with the shroud and zipped up, I was totally locked in. Since then, it's been down hill. I just wish that with all the money Jordan brand makes they would give us good materials. Jordan brand needs to take notes from Reebok and the Question.

Last years Zion1 review Nightwing wasn’t a fan of it and was kinda hating on the shoe the entire time, now this years the exact vibe. That just shows you how much love he has for Team Jordan and Jordan basketball shoes overall. Solid review, way to keep it real and call it how you see it. 🔥

Just got these finally.. forefoot zoom air is beast.

I noticed when shoes are made for big people, the shoe is too stiff and firm in the smaller sizes.

the strap looks useless, was hoping it is a loop kinda thing to keep it tight, however, dissapointed in that.

This may be a weird take...That forefoot strap area, especially from the top down angles, reminds me of Cyclops' visor design from the first live action X-Men movie, it looks so big and cumbersome.

What can you say about the Voodoo colorway versus these ones?
