This guy is a class act. It's been fun watching him have success in the NFL and College. Best of luck Jordy! Thank You for all the great plays you made.
All this guy did was ball out, every week. Didn't get the recognition as one of the best because of the Aaron factor. I stole him every single year in drafts!
Ohhhh! Like fumbling a ball. Like the ball is out of his hands. I'm sure he fumbled at times. Most ball carries did. I don't remember it happening very often at all, though.
I couldn’t imagine the Packers after Reggie White, I couldn’t imagine them after Brett Favre, then I couldn’t imagine them after Donald Driver, then I couldn’t imagine the team after Jordy Nelson. So many great players have left great impressions with me. I hope I get to see a game in Lambeau before Rodgers leaves. Packer fan for life!
I have been a Packers fan for years. This man Jordy Nelson deserves better! Shame on you when you take a hard working loyal man and treat him this bad. It's all about $. Jordy, thank you bro for the memorable moments in Green Bay and for your service to your Community. You are a true man .
Being a Packer fan, and living in WI, what you see is what you get with Jordy. A great route runner and a hard worker. With injuries and age he's lost some speed, but Rodgers always knew where he was on the field. As a larger receiver, early in his career he abused smaller D Backs and was a great deep ball threat. Something that the Packers lacked the past couple years. He was very active in the community and a fan favorite. It's nice that he's retiring healthy and I hope he enjoys life on the farm.
I've been watch the 2010 season again. Green Bay would never have made it to play-offs without this guy. Not even close. Jordy made some clutch plays for them. Over and over.
Jordy sure did not understate his description of what being a farmer consists of, the hours you put in & ect... I've been one for 40 years and a Packer fan for 50 he was a great fit at Kansas State and in Green Bay. Best of Luck Jordy, enjoy your retirement, you now have the best occupation ever invented! (Farmer)
My favorite Packer and one of my all-time favorite players. We miss you in Green Bay. Great to hear that they’re actively working on retiring him as a Packer!! Have a great life #87!
Jordy, you added an element of excitement to the game, that is rare. You gave us Packers fans some great moments. I am personally grateful to you for being a positive role model for the kids that are your fans. You've endeared yourself to many of us. I'm glad I saw this interview, because I've been wondering about you. God Bless you and your family! 🙏 Merry Christmas! 🎄🤶🎁🇺🇸
The class act of the NFL. Vince Lombardi would have loved Jordy. He was a great player, teammate and example of what the league has lost, a real stand up man. Gentleman all the way and total team player. Shows you what hard work and a great moral compass gets you....... Jordy Nelson, total class and style. Most of all, humble. Something most players don't know the meaning of. Good luck to you sir!
If the Packers signed Jordy today, he would be their second-best receiver. I still don't get why they couldn't keep Jordy and Aaron together a bit longer.
I felt like he never got enough credit. He had a six year stretch where, in my opinion, he was as good as anybody in the league! Definitely one of the top guys in his era
One thing's for sure - you'll never hear him doing the kind of 'interview' we've heard from Jennings and Finley recently. Jordy is Aces across the board - he gave Green Bay all he had and hopefully, after retiring a Packer, he will live a long, healthy and happy life!
Impressive, a one day deal in order to retire as a Packer, and rightly so. What a class act this guy is. Now he is forever a part of the mystique that is football in Green Bay Wisconsin. Stay safe on the farm man.
Always respected and liked Nelson. So much talent and a genuine person off the field. Dude spent his career going home to work the farm. Makes all us country folks look a little better. It also helps I’m from Kansas and know the farm mindset. Only player from Wisconsin I’ll ever be a fan of. Enjoy your retirement, man.
This man was one of the hardest working players in Oakland...it is a crazy business. He would've killed it in Oakland this season. I'd take his 11 seasons, his hardworking ethic and leadership in the locker room over some unmentioned recent signings in Silver and Black.
Glad to hear this. He was a great player. But if your not chasing a record. Or looking for ur 1st bowl. U should go out on top with money & your health. Have enough time to build a second career. That u can be successful at. While spending time with thier families. Wish more players would do this. I'm tired of hearing sad stories about guys who wasted thier money or got hooked on drugs. Or played until they severely damaged thier brains. An end up hurting them selves or others. It's refreshing to see a man leave while healthy still playing well at his position. And with all his marbles, & $.
If he could of put it all together a few years earlier he would have a great case for Canton. Definitely reached a HoF level for ~5 years. Hands down the best deep threat in the NFL for several years
Good for him. A class act. Will always be loved by the packers. Go out before your body is done. Difficult to move kids when they get older as well. Well done, enjoy your family now.
As a diehard Kansas State fan, it's great to see/hear Jordy in great spirits. Better to walk away too early than limp away too late. Tip of the cap to a helluva player, and a true gentleman. Enjoy the farm life Jordy. #EMAW
Should have come to NE and played for the greatest franchise, the greatest coach and the GOAT. He would have been able to win one more SB. Enjoy your retirement and new life, sounds good.
