Lorenzo won jerez11,le mans12, aragon14 wet-dry with slicks, motegi 2015 first, before stop raining. Jorge had some problem with michelin last year

This was the bike that just played in the 2016 World Cup. Starting in 2017, bikes couldn't have wings. Jorge the first test he did with ducati at the end of 2016, just after finishing the championship, he did it with wings to understand how the bike behaved and could compare it with the prototype of the following year.

Yes but they kept them at the Valencia test because they wanted to approach things systematically. See if they took of the wings, and Jorge couldn't get the lap times up they would have to wonder if it was down to Jorge not meshing with the bike, or the bike not working without winglets. So for the first test, they kept Jorge's bike the same way it was at the Valencia race in 2016. That's just how factories usually work, they change things step by step, because when you have two unknown variables you never know which one affected the equation the most. As far as I know they will not be running the winglets at the Sepang test later this week.

as i thought then,nice info as to the systematic trials and uses of different setups,will be very interesting to see how the season pans out.theres a few obvious riders up there,,but then vinales is going to be one to watch.imho.but last season was crazy,so many different winners,,,

FDP 25 agree, probably didn't suit jorge butter smooth cornering entry style and progressive acceleration in outer corner, made me remember when casey still on his duc he's heavily rely on late breaking for corner entry.
