Jori Hulkkonen - Don't Believe In Happiness 

Too bad. This and all the message has nothing to do with skin color. Or religion. Or anything really. This is human. 100% and eternally. Don't be afraid to be human, and also tell others to do so. It's needed now more than ever. We belong together.

While I agree to the core, societal customs dictate the opposite. I know who I am and treat all with respect.

So I have a crazy take on this, but I think the scene where the boy and girl are brought in, could be interpreted almost like the relationship between an omnipotent and "Just"/"Punishing" God and its creation, or "subjects." It's hard to say whether Jori or the Machine is the "Source" of this divinity, as nothing really happens until the two are connected, but the boy and girl are brought in to this spectacular place almost like adam and eve when they are created in the garden of eden. When the boy and the girl begin to have a sexual experience with the mixer machine which is simultaneously a part of Jori because he is plugged in to it, almost like a power source, the figure Jori is playing looks down on them with an inhuman sort of satisfaction, as though all things are in their "right place." I'd like to point out that this "satisfaction" is not happiness, but more like a sadistic pleasure, like "Yes, everything shall be as I say," and at the end, when the boy and girl have both apparently died, all is just as it "should be." The creation, the humans, have rightfully performed their service to a power greater than themselves, and then perished, which is to be expected. Perhaps even Jori will perish and be replaced by a new figure who will provide the machine with a power source. Happiness has no place in this particular setting, because although people have the saying, would you rather be happy or right, in this world, the God-like character of the machine Jori plugs into perhaps prefers being "right" to all other things. Crazy, I know. But this is the only sort of way I could come up with to make sense of the lyrics, the musical arrangement, and the video. It's just one perspective, I realize. This is not a happy song, however. It is more like coming face to face with death in the midst of war, or a terrible storm.
