Take a ride on Jormungandr at Drayton Manor! This Zamperla Powered Coaster originally opened in 1987 and is now part of the new Vikings themed area. The former Buffalo Coaster has been transformed into Jormungandr and offers fantastic views across Vikings along with the nearby lake!

Used to love the old Buffalo Coaster. So glad the park have kept it and refurbished and transformed it under a new name. Nice ride and nice vlog Shawn 👍

Don’t get me wrong love Drayton manor but they need to add another scary ride like shockwave some where and not like little kids rides if you get me or is that just me thinking that 😂

@@danfrancis8306 On the other hand... if it truly was going to go fully in such a direction, wouldn't Shockwave (for example) be next in the firing line? Given that it (along with Stormforce 10) recently got a repaint alongside the rest of Adventure Cove, that gives me the impression that they'll still be keeping at least some of the more thrilling things around. Hell, with any luck, we might even get some new additions to make up for losing G-Force, Pandemonium and Apocalypse; I'd personally love a Gravity Group family woodie (Vikings could be a great place to put it!) and one of the new Vekoma launched coasters, myself!

I used to love the park back in the day (talking golden nuggets-ride branding). But yeah it’s a bit kiddy-ish now. And with apocalypse going it seems this is gonna be the new ‘watered down’ American adventure.

@@danfrancis8306 As a major 'family park' they probably should be looking at Paultons and Chessington as the main competitors. That probably means that whilst another Shockwave (big thrill coaster) may not the thing for them, Storm Chaser, Vampire, etc surely are rides they should be looking at competing directly with. So bigger family coasters that still pack a bit of punch. Quite young kids can often like rides like that - single figure ages. They only have one in that category (Accelerator), surely need at least one more. I like what the new owners of Drayton have done - though quality theming has been a far bigger thing than anything really exciting in the rides they have put in.

Your videos have helped me get over my fear of rollercoasters. I went to BPB yesterday and went on Icon, Big One, Infusion, Avalanche and the wooden coasters. Seeing your love of rides has really inspired me to stop being so scared of them and just go for it! (Icon was WAY too intense for me, but hey, I gave it a try and that's the main thing!)

I was at BPB yesterday too. You’re not Scottish by any chance are you because the park was full of Scots yesterday! I thought the woodies were very rough, even Grand National.

Probably had more childhood rides on this (in its Buffalo days) than anything else! Doesn't look like an awful lot of tree clearance down there by the water helix though... good for those 'can I grab a leaf' games ;)

I went on this ride on Tuesday two weeks ago! It's great to see you have been on it now too. Oh hey also, I'm still not sure if it was just me but when you was on this, did the ride hurt too? For me I kept hitting my arms and legs and feet on the sides.

Yeah, I used to be deathly afraid of rollercoaster, but I went on this, troublesome trucks, accelerator (back then known as Ben 10), G force and then shockwave all in the same day! And after that I love rollercoasters.

I feel like one lap on this coaster is enough, 2 laps is nice but its quite a long ish lap round and through puts are better with 1 lap rather than 2.

@@eejb When I went, I went on it second in the morning and it was about half an hour queue. We were in a group of 8 and 3 people chickened out, one of them being right at the station before we were gonna ride.

@@ThemeParkWorldwide yeah I thought it was strange it wasnt busy busy. But even in summer holidays the buffalo always ran 2 laps. Tbf the operator wasn't a happy bunny yesterday 🤣 maybe that's why
