When Josh began crushing the hopes and dreams of certain opposing fan bases, this is where the animosity started. Some of them wholeheartedly admit they hate him.
I think this round of "overrated" comes from players who are tired of their quarterback losing the spotlight to Allen. It's guys on the Bengals, Jets, Chargers, Dolphins etc stumping for their own QB.
Burrow, Allen, and Lamar Jackson will always be judged as overrated until they can unseat Mahomes unfortunately. I hope Allen gets the help he needs at the WR position this year.
Also want to add, we are over 7 years removed from the 2018 draft. Coaching, work-effort, personal development and on-field results have more bearing on how we perceive QBs. Time to quit talking 2018 draft position I think.
It’s more of a current perception of the players value. He could have been the last pick in the draft (Purdy) and there would be people who think he is overhyped by media and fan bases. Josh Allen in better than Lamar and he’s been sent here to destroy you
Allen has over 100 more TDs than Lamar does who gets catered to by the media, while Allen gets the Caitlyn Clark treatment from ESPN. They both came into the NFL together in 2018..
If anyone is overrated in those top QBs, it's Jackson. He was 17th in pass attempts and didn't throw fot 4k. Not since NcNair and Steve Young have a QB won an MVP award throwing under 4k.
I may be a "homer" but I think Josh Allen is the best QB in the NFL- he just has not had the the tools (0ther than Diggs) to win the big one..as for trash talking Josh, screw 'em!
Allen is better than mahomes mahomes just had better luck in the playoffs and his defense mainly Chris Jones always make a play on defense when needed Allen defense never make a big stop when they have to

Josh Allen is the #QBeast, and the anonymous players polled are just taking shots at the guy who steals the spotlight from their team. Mike White is a solid back-up that won't hesitate to pull the proverbial trigger on big plays. #GoBills

Bass was not good all of last season. His kickoffs were bad, many short and even the field goals he made were iffy. It looked so bad, I thought maybe he was hurt.
Bass is a problem ! Period! We do realize that all he has to do is kick, for Millions 💰. He has already been penalized for missing the new kicking zone! Let alone he can’t kick a FG through the center.

Allen has more TDs than any other player in NFL history by his age. He's overrated? Or hated on by woke ESPN for mysterious reasons? Allen doesn't fit Disney owned companies favored marketing direction.
Lots of people sleeping on Shakir, you can definitely take him in later rounds. I have Coleman on one of my teams, not sure how it will pan out, hoping for a breakout year though.
do i think Allen is better than Mahomes? no. do i think Allen is worse than Mahomes? no. trade Mahomes and Josh straight up between the Chefs and our Bills, and i dont see Mahomes accomplishing what he has. NFL is the ultimate team game. we've never really lost because of JA17. zero issues with Josh or his play.
Allen in the playoffs has been everything we needed, the Defense has let him down... how can he do more, line up at DE and rush Mahomes also? Im all for Mike White over Mitch
Top 2-5 QBs are interchangeable depending on where you grade them. If anything he is overated by 1 spot 😂 😂 If Allen was out of the top 10 and people are saying he is number 2 or 3 then I could see it.

People hating on Bass is stupid. Even if he made the kick all it would have been was a tie and there was plenty of time (more than 13 seconds) for Mahommes to score and the way the D was playing KC would have scored and still possibly won.
I don't know if Addreessen will dress on game day. Will the Bills dress 6 LB? Maybe because of the new kick off rule. I hope he dresses for the home opener.
Bass is the 4th leading scorer in Bills history. I don't get the criticism that same drive Allen fumbled the ball, Diggs dropped one, Shakir dropped one and on third down Josh threw the ball away when he had an open reciever... People are talking about a missed kick.
Gotta say.. I was wrong about Justin Shorter. I was happy to see you guys did him some coverage though. As you said.... he just didn't do enough to make the team. I had seen interviews with him and thought he was a really nice kid with a good head on his shoulders, and I wish him luck in Minnesota. 2nd best qb 😂 are you crazy!! He's better then mahomes! You don't even have to give josh the talent that pat has surrounding him or his defense. Just switch coaches. Give josh Andy Reid or just Spags. Both coaches are 10× better coaches for clutch, big time situational times in a game then ours. I like McDermott but he shrinks in big moments and his butt clinches tighter then the joints jenna rolls the bigger the moment in the game! Let pat win a game with 13 sec left and have his coaches botch the game on him and see how great he still looks. Pats great but not as good as allen and pat don't have to over come terrible coaching.
