Obviously so! Considering that Josh Beckett was Baseball's ONLY 20 GAME WINNER in 2007. Hands down, he should have won the Cy Young that year instead of that Piece of Shit C. C. Sabathia, especially after what Beckett did in Game 5 of the ALCS.
Jiltedin2007 I'm not a fan of Sabathia, but his stats were better than Beckett. W-L is only a small reflection of a pitcher's performance anyways. Sabathia had a better ERA, more innings pitched, more strikeouts... I like Beckett, but it just wasn't his year.
We watched Josh from High School and all thru his career. My Mom and his grandmother' are friends so being around him was an everyday thing. We're most definitely Proud of everything that he's accomplished but MY favorite game was when the Marlins BEAT the Yankees. That last play was incredible. But like everyone else, I to wish he could have played a lot longer.
I’ll never forget Josh Beckett and what he did for my favorite baseball team ever, the 2007 Boston Red Sox. Beckett was amazing and I love how he never pulled his punches with the media. He was amazing in Boston.
And how about 2007? Down 3-1 in the ALCS, Josh Beckett beat the AL Cy Young Award Winner in Game 5 to not only give the Red Sox new life, but to also send the Series back to Boston.
