Kinda wild how the 4-team playoff era starts with an Oregon-Ohio State natty and ends with one between Washington and Michigan, their biggest rivals respectively.

Penix truly throws a pretty spiral football. Washington's defense will determine its fate of winning the championship in Houston.

My prediction is that Michigan will win but if they don’t then Washington will win 🥳

as a michigan fan i think this is a 50 50 game. if washington starts fast its gonna be very hard to climb out of a hole. im not confident about this game at all and I’m happy for washington proving most everybody wrong Go Blue!

Out of the Top 50 offenses per ESPN stats, the Washington D has played #2, #9, #12, #20, #26, #35, and #36. Michigan's D has played one - #48. Defensive stats are a bit misleading for this game. Fun fact, out of every team in the country, the Huskies have defended the most pass attempts, 521, and given up 6.6 yards per completion. The next closest team in the country is Oregon with 468. By comparison, Michigan has defended 340 pass attempts and has a 5.8 yard per completion avg. GO DAWGS!

Wouldn't that be ironic if somehow Michigan and Washington had to split the title?

FUNNY- I'd LOVE to have seen Kirks' SHOCKED face when someone told him the Washington Huskies were NOT from Washington DC. Kirk and the entire ESPN crew did NOT follow or ever report anything good about either UM or Huskies ALL year - not once. Since ESPN carries the SEC, those are the ONLY teams they follow and PROMOTE. I lIke how virtually every ESPN "Expert" picked against both Huskies and UM before each of these last two games. WATCH their faces now that they have no choice but to talk about the winners. It's like watching hostages being FORCED to say anything positive about their captors. ESPN was soooooooo pissed that their SEC teams did not make it in, they are STILL TODAY running "special" promotional program "reports" about how GREAT the teams are that lost. FUNNY!!!!

The key to beating UW is the same as beating OhioSoft keep them under 30. The good news is Michigan has seen this offense for 3 years. The bad news is the game will be played in a dome and UW has a vastly superior OL then OhioSoft has had.

I hear Michigan fans saying, Michigan built its defense to beat Ohio State Stroud, Fields and Haskins! They specifically reference Stroud when Michigan broke Ohio State winning streak! News flash! Stroud didn't do any type of design runs or scrambles for runs. So much so, people complained about him not running. He ran in the playoff game against UGA in the playoff game. UGA great defense couldn't stop Ohio State offense! Michigan defense believes, they will just stop WR 3 and their TE. If Penix starts running on design runs or scrambles, then what! Penix is accurate and I mean deadly accurate! You can't stop everything or take away everything. Penix against Texas had design runs and scrambles. Texas was like F! Washington ran the ball with their RB to keep Texas honest.

Washington was able to create turnovers against the second most balanced Offense in Texas their DBs were also able to make plays against an impressive receiving corp. Washington 35 Michigan 28

Guys, the way this stuff works is the team that wins the natty has a household name coach, highly rated recruits, and is the most dominant team all season regardless of strength of schedule. Michigan has all 3 in their favor while Washington has none so by college football law and rule Michigan wins this game guaranteed. Maybe just maybe it could by miracle be close, but that's it. Washington is definitely losing and most likely by blowout.

i don't know what to expect. i feel michigan might bully them. i could see Washington keeping Penix clean long enough to score some points. MIchigan is better overall. I was floored at how bad Michigan played on special teams those mistakes should have cost them against bama. should be a fun game to watch. An SEC team every year? You mean either’Bama or Georgia every year with LSU one year. The SEC, much like the Big10 has been by and large a 2 horse race for the last 10 years. None of it will matter once the 12 team playoff starts next year. Conferences and rivalries will be reduced to nothing as the best teams from the power 5 will get in the playoffs regardless of how they fare in rivalry games/conference championships
