I agree, fixing the temp gauge is worth the price. Off to download the software and but a cable. (iddqd is from DOOM!) Here is a like and comment to help your channel grow and get you the recognition you deserve.
Your videos are the most valuable and knowledgeable source for the 2004, 2005, and 2006 GTOs hands down. How do you turn off/on the theft alarm? Thanks and keep the videos coming.
Bro! Thanks for listening to all of us. I want a shift light so bad, and being an 04 the holley sniper won’t work for it. I can’t wait for that. Secondly, I have manual swapped my automatic so the prnd321 is still on my cluster, gotta go. Lastly I had no idea about how the coolant sensor worked. I will be copying your inputs to have a more usable gauge. Thank you for this video.
This was a great video that is a service to the community. It's too bad that the temp gauge isn't easier to modify in the program, but I'm glad that the VZ Cluster Mod program was made for us. I built my own cable years ago, which is a very simple process if you want to save a couple bucks. This video should open cluster programming up to a lot more people, and one thing is for sure: it sure beats digging through the old 100 page forum threads about this.
The thread on the forum is old and long, but there is a lot of good info on it. If one is on the fence about messing with the cluster, I’d go to the forum and read the thread.
So when you buy one set aside a few grand to do repairs that you didn’t expect to cost so much money… I just bought an 04 last month and it’s been a money pit for wore out suspension parts…
Hey Josh…. Cool that you’ve done a video on VZCluster mod. Curious if you’ll have any luck finding the location where the cold temp (185) value is stored for the shift light, and if it can be changed. I know 1337, Tassi and the other guys could never find it. Let us know if you have any luck and what else you find. And BTW… iddqd is godmode in original Doom games.
Ive put a vy maloo cluster in my vy one tonner which had just over 200000klms on it ,as mine only had done 157000 ,i had a guy change the maloo cluster to my original klms
Wow awesome video mate ... Im a aussie with a 2002 model of this car, it actually has a different cluster do you know if theres a cluster mod for the earlier cluster .... Ive had a search and cant find anything, but im not good with computers
@@JoshsCarCorner program website looks to be down now , all i get is server error ... i hope anyone saved preset dock as it not a part of a zip file too ..
I have an 06 GTO and I would like the traction control default to be off and only enable if I push the button instead of the other way around. Is this possible? Thank you.
2004 GTO. I did the temp gauge and mph dim along with the custom shut down text. When I did the text, it forced the startup to HSV, if it was in Pontiac, the custom text wouldn't show. Now fuel gauge is incorrect and it says mph, but it's clearly reading in kph on the dial (digital is ok). is there anyone that has a default cluster readout that I can compare to? eg: readALL C:\cluster_shit\cluster_readall.csv
Try reverting it back to Pontiac and see if that fixes the speefo. If it does, then change it back to HSV yourself. You have to be in HSV mode to have the shutdown message.
