"Those that love materials will end up with things. Those that love power will end up in offices. But those that love wisdom will end up finding the source of those that control those that are in power and those that have materials. Wisdom controls power and power builds materials" Joshua Maponga II (2023).

Interesting conversation! Listening in from Rome, Italy. What I've noticed in my time in Europe is that people here are often trained to display assertiveness and a desire for dominance, whereas in Africa, there seems to be more emphasis on, or being trained in, resisting domination and maintaining independence. These are very contrasting mindsets. That’s why Maponga emphasizes on Economics. If we want to be respected, we need to show dominance and power in prosperity! Not just coups and protest, but real prosperity.

@@theRENexperienceI second that agreement. The African mindset is fundamentally passive and overdetermined by religiosity which, imho, is problematic in the context of post-modernism in the 21st century. In a way, there is a need for Africans generally to be more discriminatory or selective in their practice of Ubuntu. This practice of being overly sharing and hospitable with one’s proven enemies in the name of indiscriminate humanity has not served us well historically and will not in the near future. On the contrary, if not changed, will certainly lead to our continued demise.

It's weird that a lot of things that i have been saying and thinking about, this man have refined them in an intellectual way way thay any and everyone could understand. The truth is really written in your DNA. You just need to take the time to ask the right question. We are all scientists testing and trying hypothesise. We are all philosophers asking question, searching for the answers of life. We are all artists sculpting our path on the worlds canvas.

Let’s all heed this important message from Maponga: “Governments are rehabilitation centers for military juntas” and connect that concept with the points/call that he made for the mental health rehabilitation of those traumatized “leaders” on the continent as pertaining to their need to overcompensate materially. Let’s all take these points to the bank!!! Community based mental health stations are needed everywhere in the global African space or Afrosphere as, indeed, we do need to come to terms with the fact that we are a traumatized people.

Thankyou My great mentor baba Joshua Maponga for saying the same thinh i have been saying for quite sometime. Africa is the one teaching democracy to the westerm world. Its funny how the USA comes to Africa to talk about democracy and human rights when black people get killed by white police officers that are supposed to be protecting them on the streets in cold blood. Isn't the right to life the most fundamental human right? Thats why i cant stand any African that holds and tries to impose American values on our society. These are the most pr1m1tive characters our society must not entertain.

Great precision analysis, right on the bulls eye. You are exactly what Africans need to open up their eyes and see exactly what's happening right in front of their eyes. Hidden in plain sight. I hope that African s who have eyes to see can see the wisdom that you are sharing. He who has eyes to see let him see, he who has ears to hear let him hear. I appeal to black Africans, please listen to brother Maponga! He has the wisdom.

Greetings with great joy i have listened to your interview. Nowever, etymology is pivotal roll in expressing your thoughts especially when you are using the Dialect which they call the English Language I know that your intention is great but the hour has come we must speak within the high frequency of Africa for in this we empower our selves and I propose this not for you but for all the Afrikan intellectuals who are promoting pan Afrikanism needs to make etymology apart of the expression.Thank you.
