The reason things were at 2 is because it is a backrow/stun deck so you want every card in the opening hand to be usable as you probably aren't searching for more. A combo deck wants consistency in their opening hand. A stun/backrow deck wants variety in their opening hand.

Dawg I got to master 5 so quick making my own stun. It’s so fun. I even threw one Yata Garasu for the moon mirror lock when they have nothing to loop. NASTY WORK. ALSO put wall of revealing light and pay 5K LP they can’t do shit
I actually saw one of those classic Stun builds earlier today. As someone who regularly plays Spell/Trap heavy decks I tend to find those kinds of setups more entertaining to deal with than annoying. It also helps that I started messing around with Eldlich a little again, using both the Sinful Spoils package to dump the goons and spare Eldlixers with Diabellstar, and a certain other witch that likes to set up Forbidden Lance/Droplet and Light Barrier Statue shortly afterwards. And won an intense battle with a Trap Lab deck a day ago with that dumb setup.
Also want to add that Jowgen is my favorite floodgate of all time and the fact that it doubles as a board breaker is always hilarious. Fossil Dyna can also do something similar but as a Flip effect so it's not the best at it.
Yeah I went 2nd against Snake-Eyes Fire King with all of the Yubel support(Phantom of Yubel included) and I creamed Snake-Eyes Fire King. The deck can have 15 hand traps plus Super Polymerization in a 40 card deck and Grave Squirmer allows to make Valdrath. The deck can already make a reliable double negation board and it can snowball into a bunch of powerful interruptions. There is boards you can make where Samsara D Lotus can be a 3rd effect negation. However 9 times out of 10 its Phantom of Yubels fusion material.
Missed Set Rotation, missed Book of the Law (which right after, he asks for cards he knows), don't know how he didn't notice Seraphinite until the last zoom... The score might not indicate he's completely Washed, but...
I don't mind Runicks to much. I just feel like they need to limit Fountain because its fun for a lot of different reasons. But the high-roll into outs is to much with 2 Fountains and if we could just banish it with Cosmic Cyclone once and potentially be done with it it would be more fair. I hate cards like Jowgen and Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo because it promotes a form of play that punishes people who uses the extra deck by drawing the game out until they lose instead of being a deck that forces them to play on a equal battlefield and if you still win through it your opponent is so salty that they'll say things like they wish we would die and what not. But when they are allowed to uses monster based floodgates and cards like There Can Only Be One and Skill Drain your forced to have a out to spell/traps in the main deck and then when we're expected to run more than 3 copies of cards like Cosmic Cyclone and can't because then we lose to real decks like Fire King or Labrynth it either takes us to long to win, we scoop because we don't want to play against it, or we lose to cards like Moon Mirror Shield because we can't find our outs fast enough. Also with cards like Fossil Dyna you can't counter them with cards like Kaiju's. None of the modern options we have for decks like Fire Kings or Labrynth are prepared for some of the older floodgates don't work and its a real problem that cards like these aren't banned. Cards like Winda at least allows you to do something and cards like Skill Drain have to be addressed with spells/traps that we can't have enough of if any and it punishes players who Uses the extra deck more than players who players who play stun because they want Yugioh to be like the Synchro Era or back in Goat format when decks weren't that fast and the game was less complicated. All for a group of people who doesn't want the game to keep on growing and changing and to stagnate and die because they don't want the bar to be raised. The game changed for a people who did not want to play a game as simple and boring as UNO and Some of these other games like Pokémon that isn't complex enough to require hardly any brain power past deck building fit that exact same bill. People me feel that we need to almost constantly challenge ourselves and if we aren't constantly challenged by the games we play we won't want to play them because we are bored by them. My biggest thing is that on a lot of free Yugioh sites they'll follow the ban list and only allow people to play banned cards in custom game modes meaning that by banning cards like Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo and Skill Drain I would never have a Yugioh match where I would have to play through them or lose. Additionally I face cards like Fire Prison to often in ranked matches on Dueling Nexus and it goes back to the I had only 3 spell/trap removal in my deck because I wanted to beat everything else and not floodgates IO. The only way I can see cards like Skill Drain being fair enough for people like me to want it to be allowed is if we were in a format were we could search for a in-engine spell card that can act as spell/trap removal or if we can run 10 spell/trap removal and still be just as effective in playing against all of the other decks in the game.
