If you ask any doctor that deals with addiction, they will tell you that for long term opiate addicts, methadone is really the only option they have. I have known dozens of addicts that have improved their lives with methadone. I am always amazed when I see one of these videos that gives a negative opinion of methadone maintenance or withdrawal based on one person's opinion, when the overwhelming medical evidence is to the contrary....

I'm on day 80 and feel like it will NEVER be better. 10 yrs on 120mg of methadone

Methadone is a BEAST! It got the name "liquid handcuffs" because it earned it. The withdrawal feels like poison trying to escape your body. I, too, prayed for death. It unfortunately began my battle with heroin. So happy Joshua's story didn't end that way!

I don't know you folks but this channel is great. The fight is over a full time job. It takes so much out of you to fight it. I wish I never took a pill.

Thanks Methadone dude and I hope and must go through. Methadone is real bad and maybe worse the smack. I am glad I watch that video and heard about "the Guy". I feel better and hope tomorrow even more. Best of luck and plenty of strength.
