Nice rings Alex ! I had a Jostens' naval OCS ring in 10k with synthetic blue stone {ordered in 70} unfortunately it was stolen ! It took me 15 years later to have a chance to re-order the replacement , the Josten' sale lady asked me over the phone why ordering 10K ring again after such a long time as you could now have been...an admiral ? I ended up in 18K with real stones ring !
I just noticed that the same ring has different prices depending on the school. Even the price of the metal changes. For instance, California state university’s ring is 110 dollars cheaper than Portland State University, and the 10 k gold in California ‘s is 140 dollars cheaper than Portland’s! That’s crazy!
Wow. I also realized prices changed depending on when I checked. In November I ordered a ring that came up to 1125 (14k gold with diamonds) before taxes and it was over 1300 this month (May) before taxes. With tax and the protection plan it was 1252 and now it’s 1500+. When I checked Balfour there was no difference in prices.
@@ShanteRoxxane I notice prices seem higher too than when I last checked a year or so ago. Hmm, gives me even more reason to not order one. I was on the fence as I graduated like 3 years ago. Now in like, nope. I'm good. If I were to order one I was going to get my official school ring, but I don't even like the offical ring that much. The offical class ring doesn't even have with a stone (or mini stones). Yet it is $1070 before tax or any metal upgrades. That is a lot for a fairly plain old school looking ring.
@@SourStrawberrys I agree with you. After I noticed that, I told myself I wouldn’t buy anything else from them in the future. I have plans to get another ring for my masters but I’m getting it through Balfour. Luckily they work with my last school. I’d check if they also work with your school. There’s also Dunham manufacturing. They don’t have a wide variety but their prices are lower. Or maybe even going directly to a jeweler could be best.
@@ShanteRoxxane I'm not interested in the rings that any high school student can order. I remember almost every student back in high school ordered a ring senior year. I only interested in the offical school ring, and our school happens to go through this company.
@@SourStrawberrys Ohhhh. Hmmm. I’m wondering if a private jeweler would be willing to make one just like the official one. There’s lots of jewelers who will make rings exactly how you want even if it’s trademarked.
My college doesn’t have the Standard Collection available :( and I don’t understand why some colleges and universities get all the collections while others only get one college (My college only has the Luxe Collection) and some don’t have any of the collections at all. I personally find this sad and not being able to get the class ring that I want from Jostens Standard Collection
I still have my '08 and want to change it out. I have the continental and it's too large and gaudy. Probably will go for a small/medium signet ring soon and add my Masters to it as well.
Do you remember if that is the X-LARGE CURRICULUM II BLING TOP [X709V]? Because I want to buy one, but they don’t say the exact dimensions of the rings. I want to get a big one, and that one looks fairly big.
@@jroitman979 Yes this ring is much bigger than what I thought it would be. It's more bigger than my High School class ring by Herff Jones if I compare it side by side.
Same :( my college only has the Luxe Jewelry Collection. I don’t understand why Jostens doesn’t have all ring collections for all colleges and universities. For example, I’m from California and some of the state universities don’t have all or even none of the collections. I wanted a Curriculum Bling Top Large and my college doesn’t have the Standard Collection available. I’m find this sad and honestly unequal to the colleges and universities that don’t have these ring collections
Yes I am happy with it. I had to get the x-large anyway since I had to fit the 9 letters “Alexander” on top of the bling where the large only would fit 8 letters.
Jostens is shit.... I ordered my son's ring and they sent something so small .Looked like a woman ring and the size is far off.... what the hell. I paid 500. Now I have to pay an additional 100 to return it.. ridiculous.
