@@chinBTT its a Dio from alternative timeline where he won that mean that either Jotaro didnt get the opportunity to use timestop or couldnt evolve it with constant training to the point where he could outmatch Dio's TS
It seems gimmicky for Jotaro to adapt to whatever Dio achieved but I like that this game has a proper storymode with almost every JoJo meeting each other. Dio over Heaven has a cool design and abilities. I play ASBR as well because you can mix the characters from each Part.
How to achieve requiem: Stab your stand with requiem arrow and hope the arrow don't reject you. You'll get random ability which might be useful or not... like making all your allies, foe and you yourself switch bodies. How to achieve infinite spin bullet: Understand the spin concept and those golden rules shape you see around you. You can probably learn it at the nearest Zeppeli. Also you need to ride horse at certain angle or have the horse kick you so hard at certain position to shoot an infinite spin bullet. How to achieve over heaven: There is a whole book on how to get this abilities written by Dio. It is ridiculously complicated. But as long as you have star platinum, just let Dio do all the hard work and then you can copy it from him because it's the same type of stand.
@@ryanj4607 The ability also tends to affect reality through the manipulation of consciousness, in a way that is influenced by the stand's base ability
So, due to the link between Star Platinum and The World, Jotaro automatically achieved heaven with DIO when DIO used Over Heaven for the first time. The same thing happened in Stardust Crusaders with the ability to timestop.
@@joshward2027 depends how you view it. My personal take on Jotaro's Stand's ability is that it activated first against the bullies he is mentioned as hospitalizing at the start of the part, and his primary desire at that stage was to beat up bullies for hurting people. Over the course of the part, SP always had just enough power to do so to every bully he came across, discluding the captain dude's stand, and Za Warudo. In both cases, he just needed one ability to tip the scales in his favor, so his Stand obliged, and likely identified DIO as something to the quality of the ultimate bully. If this is the case, then you can take Star Platinum's ability to literally be "the ability to express deliver DIO these hands until DIO ceases existing." If this is the case, then it developing Over Heaven makes a degree of sense, as a counter form to that Stand was his only option to truly defeat it. It's still stupid logic, and portrayed poorly, not to mention it lessens the worth of any DIO vs. Jotaro battle that ever occurred, but it makes a degree of sense.
I'd always thought that "same type of stand" was only part of the equation. Kind of like how heat always travels from where there is more to where there is less, when DIO tried to upgrade his stand a second time, the stand upgrade instead flowed to "where there is less" and upgraded Star Platinum instead.
My headcanon on how this works is different, my theory is that the reason star platinum is "the ultimate stand" is that its "true ability" is how adaptable it is, when pushed to the absolute limit, it will develop a new skill to save itself if it can, kinda like how he just pulled star finger out of his ass when desperate, and it's also why he replicated the world's time stop, jotaro said that they are the same type of stand purely out of being close ranged power types, combine that with jotaro being aware that time stop is a thing and the easiest way for star platinum to adapt was to copy the ability of a similar stand
Well, it's a bit of a mistranslation in the phrasing. The idea is that there's a direct connection between The World and Star Platinum, which most infer as DIO having the body of the Joestar family patriarch while Jotaro was, at the time, the end of the Joestar lineage. (Remember, Jotaro and Holly's stands both manifested because DIO woke up, so it was established in the beginning of Part III that his Stand has a direct impact on Jotaro's.) Anything DIO achieves, it comes full-circle and also applies to Jotaro. Over Heaven DIO didn't experience this in his timeline, so he had no idea this was how it works. Jotaro, meanwhile, only had to take a moment and consider "okay, last time this happened, I got time-stopping. Let's see if I got this one too".
@@MagnificantSasquatch yea it makes sense people often forget that DIO in Jonathan's body is connected to jotaro joseph and holly and their stands thanks to the joestar birthmark
Imagine getting the souls of people related to the body you stole and getting the body of JESUS HIMSELF and still losing because the guy you’re beefing said “no”
Over Heaven DIO is literally THE most broken person to exist in anime because he could go into any anime and just overwrite their reality so that none of them have powers
Some anime character can do a lot better than Dio tho Dio literally need to hit something to manipulate it and when his hands were broken,he can do nothing

Ever heard of Sol Badguy? Prior to the ending of Guilty Gear Strive, aka, when he had his powers, in one ending, one of the main “villain’s” tried to erase Sol from existence by killing his past self, Sol simply said: “no.” With sheer will he managed to keep himself in reality.

People meme the crap out of the whole "Same type of Stand" thing, but the actual reason makes a lot more sense: Star Platinum and The World are fated to be equal and opposite. So, in an attempt to correct DIO's messing with it, Destiny- which is an actual force in the Jojo universe -granted Jotaro Over Heaven. Didn't mean he'd win the fight- as that same DIO proves -but the playing field was as level as it was gonna get.
part 1 au after dio kicks the dog he got kicked out of the joestar mansion he ended up in the higashikata house where he also pissed off the people there dio kills higashikata father then becomes a vampire higashikata main character name is jessica higashikata, son of father higashikata jessica foughts dio, it was a tie and the higashikata house burned down jessica discovers the joestars and meets jonathan joestar they then agree to defeat dio zeppeli appears and teaches both of them hamon they ride horses into a desert they found a mysterious man with pink hair with arrows they observe the arrow the pink man runs away they chase the pink man with horses jonathan gets donuted while jessica panics the arrow stabs her she got a stand similar to stone free and oh, lonesome me she kept chasing the pink man who turned out to be doppio with his stand that can generate time ( imma explain how this works later ) jessica defeats doppio turns out his ability can generate time it works by making the "effect" happen without the "cause" jessica defeated her because even doppio cannot predict if he generates time (1/?)
part 1 au (2/?) she then goes back to jonathan and stiches her wound jessica discovered that jonathan cannot see his stand then she stabs jonathan with the arrow it worked but jonathan cant summon his new stand they then head to a nearby village it was night suddenly and dio appears one of his zombies grabs the arrow then he fucks off jessica and jonathan then fought zombies jonathan's stand is revealed to be a stand that can "walk through all"

If I had to rewrite this story, I'd have Jotaro eventually gain a requiem ability and a spin ability and one more form of ascension, making Star Platinum more unique

10:07 ayo so Dio overheaven got rekt bcuz 2 item from differ dimensions merged together, the aspect from D4C. Steel Ball Run gives a major effect to the villain
That means the rewriting reality ability can't win against paradoxes, heheh, D4C for the win. They were so "lucky" that Dio didn't know about one of his last personal belongings from the reality where he loses.
Dio: *stand rushes and hits Jotaro 337 times in a row across his entire body in the span of 2 seconds, finishing with a blow to the head.* Jotaro, suddenly wide as an SUV: "Good thing I was able to stuff exactly 337 books in my clothes while he had his back turned, plus an extra under my hat."
Just saying, the only reason Jotaro achieved heaven is due to the link between Star Platinum and The World, the same reason Star Platinum can time stop.

@@Antigen__ no really a fan but based on your logic you said same vs they pulled with jotaro, Jonathan doesnt have a stand to begin with and no one can really give one, and the one he's canonically suppose to have is Hermit Purple so.... yeah not happening I'd would have liked to see GER beat Dio but I hate Giorno, if it was Part 4 or 6 Jotaro beating this ver. of Dio I would have been more accepting of it.
I wish this form of him was available as a costume in ASBR, and even back in EoH Also it especially doesn't make sense considering DIO's *also* powered up by the corpse and Jotaro isn't
Dio: you cant win jotaro. I used all of my power for this attack. Jotaro: so..... Dio: no... Jotaro: its the same type of stand.... Dio: no no no..... Jotaro: as star Platinum? Dio: no no no no no (gets punched) fuuuuuuu.....
It kind of makes sense. He can copy a change made to his stand if another nearby stand functions on the same principals. They can merge aspects of their stand to gain the ability. If hermit purple developed, Johnathan's stand could copy it.
I have a feeling that Jonathan’s soul was going around his bloodline to “save the world”. That could explain why joseph has hamon before he even trained. Just to defeat the pillarman. And he was in jotaro so he could have the same type of stand as Dio……it could make it more sense because dio is partially jonathan. That’s why jotaro is so linked with his abilities.
This fight makes me so mad. And before you ask, no it's not because the fight itself is boring or whatever. The story hypes up certain characters, but doesn't follow through on them
Over Heaven DIO really tried pulling the same trick that Jotaro's timeline DIO pulled and Jotaro was not having it, just straight up going for the head instead of the stand.
tell me why damaging Dios hands made him a cripple, like at this point in the game hes is literally the most powerful being in existence and just because he lost the ability to use his hands hes out for good, he could have easily beaten jotaro using his feet
Basically, Over Heaven Capacity of Rewrite Reality need that DIO Uses his hands or The World hands to activate. Just when he blocked Jhonny's Tusk act 4 infinite Spin and Negate the Activation of Return To Zero ability of Giorno's Gold Experience Réquiem. Or When Jotaro Cracked his skull, but DIO Touches his head and Healed Himself.
valentine mentions that the same objects or people from parallel worlds when made contact but utterly decimate the two and their surroundings. jotaro took the arm bands from dio corpse in his world and use it against dio
To continue the thread we’ve seen that stands need their fists to use their ability before Bruno specifically states that his and Giorno’s stands need to punch or use their hands in order to activate their abilities You can assume its the same here
@@chinBTT cause most of the power is so broken even with all hard work and also stand is manifest of our soul and pretty sure most of the soul use HAND to do something most of the time
I'll explain a bit. Part 3 Jotaro has a single character trait: being "badass" thing is, you need more than that to make a character especially since Jotaro isn't a badas, he's a dick. He yells at people, is rude to people and in general is just a nasty person. If you take a look at his stand the problems show themselves once more. A main character needs to be interesting in their powers, Jotaro is not. Instead Jotaro gets a stand that allows him to punch people fast. Such fun. He doesn't get an ability but later it is shown that he somehow has pretty much the same stand as DIO (nice going Araki, making your villains so powerful you need to ruin estabished rules and even then needing plot armour) who's ability allows him to..... punch people faster. In part 4 some of these are remedied but even then the character is not great due to the foundation being so bad
Dio: the world over heaven! Jotaro: so it’s the same type of stand as star platinum… star platinum; the world over heaven (Note: I formatted it this was as once jotaro gains time stop he says star platinum; the world! When he uses it, especially after season 3 so realistically now it would be star platinum; the world over heaven.)
Who Will be the new enemy in JoJo? Who i have to fight in the new JoJo game? What ability Is going to have? What Will be him objectives? NOPE, IS DIO AGAIN
Jotaro stopping time makes sense but him also using over heaven doesn't make any sense at all. Dio did a lot of preparations for him to obtain it but Jotaro just "so it's the same type of stand" bs.
My head cannon for the "it's the same stand" thing that jotaro says. Is that since over heaven, Dio is still technically connected to Johnathan joestars body, the power of a vampire and the mamon still in Jonathan's body existing some how mixed and then the stand was created and all the descendents connected to the joestar bloodline gain more power the more powerful dio becomes but it takes a certain amount time to be able to reach their level but the closer they are to the source of power the faster and stronger their stands become but thats my headcannon.
Over 30 years and fans still don't get it. Star Platinum's actual ability is to counter Dio. Notice how everytime he got stronger, Jotaro evolved as well as if in response. Then when Dio died, Jotaro in turn got weaker. Star Platinum is Johnathan/the Joestar bloodline's answer to DIO and The World. With no DIO, it stops developing. With DIO alive, or even just a part of him (The Green Baby which eventually fused with Pucci), Star Platinum evolves in response. It's why he immediately got the ability to move for a fraction then eventually 2 seconds during timestop when fighting DIO. It's why he immediately got 5second timestop when DIO drank Joseph's blood and got stronger. It's why his timestop returned to 5 seconds after Pucci fused with the Green Baby and had his stand evolve to C-Moon and eventually Made in Heaven. It's why upon contact with DIO's The World Over Heaven, Star Platinum immediately acquired the ability to fight on ewual grounds. Tl;dr: Star Platinum's True Stand Ability is beating the shit out of Dio.
This is my only gripe about the story mode. It's just Part 3 again, I like Part 3 but this feels way too forced and BS. My idea was something like still having Jotaro using DIO's rings to incapacitate TWOH DIO and then have all the protagonist to cheap away at him to keep him from regenerating and then end it with Jonathan getting the final blow (give my boy Jonathan some recognition) and if not you can still have Jotaro doing it but without a repeat of Part 3.
Ah yes I also remember the part in Stardust Crusaders when Jotaro destroyed DIO's arms with Rings, cross-countered his kick and fucking ORA ORA'd him. That was peak part 3 moment (????)
Even if «Over Heaven» is tied to TWOH’s fists, it shouldn’t matter if Dio’s hands are damaged. They’re still there, just slap the ground and heal that shit.
couldn't dio just infinitely stop time and just beat the shit out of them like wth jolyne can't even move in stopped time and jotaro has at max like 5-6 seconds to move
Im pretty sure the infinite time stop was a misconception. At best his time stop is a little above 9 sec since he beat Jotaro in his timeline and prob took his blood.
@@bruhmeme1 Over Heaven doesn't have infinite Timestop just a 11 seconds one. Or it was 12? I don't know but Jotaro was already developing Over Heaven too at that point so he was able to counter him. Also for some reason it looks like Jotaro couldn't be possessed. Some fate thing most probably
@@Mark-tq7bf i think the 11-12 seconds which you're stating was in anime after he got Joseph's blood because like i saw at a few places in his stats that he had infinite time stops or i might need to check my sources ig
I'm not complaining about jotaro gaining over heaven but they could've come up with a better reason for why he achieved it i mean seriously just because they got the same stand type jotaro can do EVERYTHING dio can That's Just Bullshit!!! (I need a better reason but that's just me tho)
Jonathan's body gives a signal to the other user's of his wish to destroy DIO. That's why Him and Joseph got Hermit Purple 1# and 2# that DIO literally admitted he could have Died if he recieved a full overdrive with that Stand. And Jotaro who is not a Hamon user got an Stand that simulates DIO's in a lesser effect. (For example Jotaro's Over Heaven is Slower and his The World is only 5 seconds max in comparison to DIO's 8 (10 after absorbing Joseph's Blood) Also Jotaro was about to lose if it weren't because he used DIO's rings to eras his hands
@@datboy038 He can't. If he tried he would lose his hands in the same manner. He can overwrite the past around himself so that he can bring other Dio's but he can't overwrite how those Dio's work.
In every fight jotaro had serius injuries or having a very hard time. In dio's fight jotaro just win easily with getting serius injuries or having a hard time.
So having his legs broken and his stomach pierced (Not mentioning DIO sent him flying from a direct hit) is not damage. Dude Jotaro only was alive because DIO didn't hit him hard before Star Platinum started picking up the signal

I dont think star platinum truly achived over heaven, just found a loop hole, but thats just me. I just find it funny they used the same plot device when this first fought, but hey gotta love jojo.
don't really mind the twist of them having the same stand but wish the final battle had been all the joestars & their allies fighting dio(like the one before it just bigger.) with some lines from jotaro as they fall of his stand feeling odd implying their souls were awakening his over heaven leaving only him & jolyne/jonathan fighting dio for the cairo bridge fight with all 3 getting their last hit on dio/getting absorbed entrusting the legacy to jotaro. also personally wish part 3 dio actually got involved instead of being a tutorial boss as it would've been neat seeing him grow an attachment to giorno talking about their reactions to fate a bit leading to him dealing a mortal blow to his alternate self blowing himself up with the dimension collision instead of just finding his bracelets. but do love the end of jotaro using what was left of over heaven to rewrite it that dio's legacy doesn't infect to joestars as hard as it did due to seeing what happened.(kinda like if part 6's ending extended to dio's influence throughout the series and not just pucci.)
