I enjoyed your process 😊 I usually prefer a little longer video. In shorter videos it always seems to be such a smooth process that never happens that way in reality. It’s refreshing that I’m not the only one who struggles. ❤Hang in there, be willing to make changes but stay true to you❤

I loved this video, it’s like listening to a friend chatting away. Really love the Victorian ladies today. My journal style is a bit of a memory keeping style - so I include lots of photos and junk, but I love watching the instinctive way you journal. Very inspiring. Love your real time videos x

I like watching people work in the junk journals, still trying to figure it out for myself. I have trouble with the patterned pages, covering up the patterns. Loved that stamperia series but when I got it, didn't know what to do with it. The pages have so much personality in themselves and their own theme. I watched you make this journal and use a mix of papers so I'm interested to see how you do your pages. Thanks for sharing! Edited to add: I had a cat named Conan too, pronounced the same way as you do. He was the best cat ever! A long life and much loved.Love to your Conan.

I really hope your viewings go up as I really love your journalling and would be so sad if you gave it up. I also really love your real time videos, like someone else said below, its like having a chat with a mate over teams or something 😄. Not been in Range for ages as the one in my area just had the same stuff in month after month so I will make a trip in me thinks!! Also on the event journalling versus pretty journalling, I am more event but I don't do everything. I also have an illness which affects my life (crohns) and I have been keeping a journal called my 'Recovery' journal so I can see how far I have come. I include all my hospital visits/appts/tests etc but I like looking back at it thinking how much better I feel now. I try to get sneaky photos of my consultants but they don't like having their pic taken which is understandable. I am going to try some pretty pages after I have watched your latest film 😀. It’s been on the to-do list for… a while 😂 thing is my craft room is such a mess at the moment I need to set aside like a week to sort it out! (Which I would also film, it’s just finding the time!)

I saved your video for when I knew I had time to sit down and watch completely! It was like sitting at the table with a friend and a glue stick! I love a real time video occasionally and I think it’s a real treat! I watch all of yours but I am sad to hear your numbers are down. Sadly it seems paper crafting is not as popular as it was a few years ago. I wonder if it a money thing? Oh Grace! This was a FABULOUS video! I was journaling along with you. In fact, I was also searching through my copy of Antiquarian Sticker Book the very same moment when you started searching through your copy! 😂 I journal in a style similar to you. I have seen some people who journal in this way "creative journaling." I call it "sorta scrapbooking." Whatever. It really is just making pretty things. You make a really delightful journaling companion. 😊❤

I also struggle to do event journaling... because I don't do things! For disability reasons but also for lazy introvert reasons, I don't go out and do things a lot so I always feel like I have nothing to journal about. Nice to know someone else -- someone who journals professionally! -- has a similar problem ^.^ I love that you just like to make pretty things; me too. P.S. Love these Victorian ladies! Might wait until your Georgian ladies are out and do a big order of historical women... might not have the self-control to wait!

My reasons are very similar to yours. Even if my illness is behaving it’s still usually too peopley outside 😂 I’m looking at doing 1890s next - interchanging between poofy dresses and slim style ones. But it’s not set in stone, so keep an eye out! I don’t have tons of images for Georgian so it won’t take nearly as long to do!

I like it I’m journaling because I have nothing else to do and I enjoy it !! Personally I think it’s the best way . because if I had that stuff to do I’d probably not be able to cos I’ve had a flare up. So I’ll stay home and journal and if I’m really honest I’d probably prefer to go that lol xx hope this makes sense xx

I kind of call the "putting pretty things on a page" style the art journalling. I don't know why you wouldn't call it journalling - it is self-expression (check) that helps you work through your thoughts and emotions (check) and when you open it in the future you are very likely to still remember how why and when you've created it (check), or at least it records your creative journey. I don't think journalling should strictly be about "real life", because - guess what! - art is a part of life too, itcs not some external meta element

I completely agree with you. I really can’t stand when people gatekeep journaling. Though I do understand if people want names/labels for their own personal creations, as long as it’s not applied to anyone else’s!

When you were talking about the way it seems "unnatural" to have a prepared list of topics to talk about in the video - maybe the word you're looking for is scripted? So it's less spontaneous amd less organic. Imo it only works well when the perosn comes to a page with a plan and the topic of condersation matches what's going on on the page

I think less organic might have been what I was going for… though I don’t remember exactly! Scripted works well too. It definitely works for some people just… it’s very much not me 😂
