I love all things paper, as is implied by the name. I love all types of junk and creative journaling, scrapbooking, card making, and mixed media. I also share studio vlogs of me working on my Etsy shop. My channel will always be a mix of those things, I can never stick to one!
6 months later I am finally on this prompt, life happens. I had a similar idea to yours. I have a brown paper I have cut into old timey bookcase and every other shelf will have book washi tape . Then the others will have removable "books". I am going to include a bookmark explain what one can do with the pull out books. Glad I am watching this, have to mark glue spots.
Thank you for a new journaling video goodie, and thank you for the Onionskin paper PSA. I think raw onions are evil, and though the engineer part of my brain had doubts that somebody would actually make paper out of those atrocious things, I stayed away from it just in case. Cause you never know. Ignoring you with compassion, and digging into old videos I saved in my Watch Later for my art journaling fix.
Glad to see you back. I totally understand where you are coming from Grace. I to suffer with chronic pain. It rules your life. I don’t sleep very well at night and I’m exhausted during the day when I need to work. So seeing your videos is like a tonic xxx
Totally understand the chronic illness making it hard to create/work/etc. Flares are rough and brain fog alone is usually enough to stop me from getting anything done ;_; Hope the doctor is able to give you satisfying answers & always happy to see your videos -- and willing to wait for them as needed! <3
love your pages they were so inspiring, sorry to hear about your struggles but plse keep this up i really enjoyed all of it and since i am going through a very very hard time i appreciate your effort very much
I love how you make your journal and I feel that you do what you feel is right for you. In my opinion there is no right or wrong way. All I can say is you are amazing and you do you. Please when you can because I know that you are busy at times put more videos up I really do appreciate you very much. I think you are Amazing! I love your nails beautiful. 🥰🤗
Sorry to hear you’ve not been well Grace. I’d guessed as much as you haven’t produced a video for a while. I hope seeing the doctor soon may help you. Your pages are lovely as always and I was interested to hear about sponsoring a cat pen! I do similar but with a dog charity! Love how you used the plant label as a stencil! Genius! Take care of yourself xx (and cuddles for Conan)
Oh I forgot to say, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has an aversion to the phrase 'mark-making'! I can't explain why but it just makes me ✨uncomfy✨
The 'oh I forgot to say' makes no sense when it turns out my first comment didn't save 😅. I know I said something along the lines of that it was lovely to see a video from you, that I love the use of the Cats Protection freebie as a mask and stencil and that the photos of His Floofiness are of course gorgeous. I also said boo to the bad etsy review - do you want me to go throw things at them for you? I'll do it, just say the word! The new collection is great, you have such a good eye for putting them together. Hope the appointment at the end of the month is helpful and brings you some answers. 💜
I feel like ‘mark making’ is reminiscent of circa 2010 gentle parenting and teaching language: “wonderful mark making Timmy!” when the little s*** has drawn all over the walls 😂
@@mspaperlover 🤣yes, exactly! And patronising art lessons at school where they wouldn't let you draw anything for weeks and kept insisting on practising 'mark making' for hours. I can draw bloody x, just let me paint properly for goodness sake!!
Love the cat pages ❤ glad you're feeling a bit more able to create, I know how hard it is when conditions you can't do anything about stop you doing stuff
Hey Grace, I love your stuff......you make me chuckle too!! Everything you do seems so personal to you and not influenced by anything other than what you are thinking about at that moment? I'm a crazy cat woman too!! 😄
These are amazing, and obviously gone three weeks later that I am watching this. But even watching the video was a delicious treat. My question for a hypothetical (or real) future situation of me getting my hands on one of those: how does one even create in those works of art? The pages are so perfect and colorful, and feel like there is nothing that I can add there. Do you have a video of creating in one of such colorful wonders?
Thank you so much! I’m sorry you missed out on one, hopefully I’ll have some more journals available soon (some life stuff going on preventing me from content creating!). As for using them, many of my journal with me videos should help, my memory isn’t good enough to say which ones but the more recent where I’m working in my magic forest journal might be more what you’re looking for 🩵
@@mspaperlover Thank you so much for replying. I am happy that someone out there got one of those beauties, so no worries. I got the printable sets of everything, so I still can play. And will. I will definitely look for some videos in your stash. Thank you for sharing about your process and creations so generously.
Other content creators saying the same thing, the changing algorithms are messing everyone up. Even with increased views, income going down. They are really screwing it up for content creators. Google trying to turn RU-vid into TV by shoving 30 second commercials in your face at the beginning of the video. Too many commercials and people won't watch. If the content creators were actually getting a more fair share it would be one thing but I don't think they are. It's just Google corporate greed. So sorry for all the wonderful people in the crafting communities who have made such great content.
I like watching people work in the junk journals, still trying to figure it out for myself. I have trouble with the patterned pages, covering up the patterns. Loved that stamperia series but when I got it, didn't know what to do with it. The pages have so much personality in themselves and their own theme. I watched you make this journal and use a mix of papers so I'm interested to see how you do your pages. Thanks for sharing! Edited to add: I had a cat named Conan too, pronounced the same way as you do. He was the best cat ever! A long life and much loved.Love to your Conan.
Love Love . First time seeing you and liked and subscribed right away by seeing your intro even before i saw your process. I've been collecting items to use for a forest journal and i gained much inspiration watching you. You have such an amazing mind for creating such beauties. Thank you for sharing your process and explaining what you are doing along the way.
I love your style and ideas! Have you tried using tracing paper instead of value? Same effect with the advantage of being able to use fountain pen to write. (Just takes a few minutes to dry fully.)
If you do not have a book binders cradle, a tip I got, was to use a really thick book, when this is opened in the middle it creates a v shape, and I make my holes by pushing through, it's much easier than trying to do it on a table. Also clip your pages, and I leave a needle in ready threaded until I get to the sewing in stage. Hope this helps. These journals are truly gorgeous ❤
These are all so gorgeous! Love the effect of the layer of serviette over the top. Also, you made the ends of the flaps a much more satisfying shape - as always, your attention to detail is second to none! 💜
I just now found your channel and I have subscribed. I have watched 2 videos and look forward to watching more. I like the way you make your videos, not too fast and not too slow. These journals are beautiful and I learned a lot. You have inspired me and given me so many ideas. Thank you for making videos. You are indeed a wonderful artist and teacher!!
Hey Grace, beautiful journals, I love them. What printer do you use for your digital print outs? I just wondered as your pages look so colourful and rich.
Grace, thank you for opening your door for me and thank you for so many kind words towards my printables ♥ The journals turned out fantastic! Love you craft!! I am happy to be a part of your creative endeavors.
