A good buddy of mine had never seen them with Arnel and doubted his skills. I took him to see them and he was sold, then this song started and I told him to hold on to his undies cuz it’s gona get crazy! The whole 3 hour ride home he couldn’t stop talking about the show!
Fantastic performance!!!! Journey continues to rock...Unbelievable that they're coming up with new songs like this one, after all these years...Thanks guys for the great songs!!!
omg this song is awesome !!! it has a nice iron maidenish type riff....nice new material they're finally bringing balls back into the music instead of sticking to just rock ballads!
My God, this is sick. Neil has balls to release something like this in 2011.. when he can make millions playing Don't Stop Believing every night. That Middle Eastern riff is straight out of Kashmir and The Gates of Babylon..and Arnel is simply amazing. I didn't think music like this was possible anymore...thanks Neil and Arnel, I can't stop listening!
@mdub2000 - Now, I love Rock Ballads, but I completely agree with you that - "this song is awesome !!! it has a nice iron maidenish type riff....nice new material" - This just goes to show the wide range of Arnel's voice and that Journey is flexible enough to reinvent itself. c",)
I am a BIG Journey Fan and Journey is a group of geniuses in music but I can't say They are the best in music because I still have Michael Jackson even when he is dead
I agree! I’m a Steve Smith fan as well, but even as talented as Smith is, Deen is much more fun to watch live! The way he beats the heck out of his kit brings so much more to the song and then we add his vocals...just awesome!
Adrian Arellano Thank you for your response! Totally agree! S. Smith is a legend and Deen added some extra factors such as power drumming grooves and harmony singings!!
LOVED the Eclipse album, and really wish I could see them play this, "Resonate" and "Edge of the Moment" live...but I doubt they will ever play those songs live again, because old fans are whiny little bitches who complained that the album wasn't just "Don't Stop Believing" over and over for the 20th time, so they shit on the album and it sold so poorly that Journey thinks they might never do an album again, and 5 years later they still haven't.
