True fact:. Prince thought purple Rain and especially his guitar solo work was so similar to Faithfully and Neal Schon that he contacted Journey to get their blessing to release Purple Rain out of courtesy in seeing and hearing the similarities. Pretty class act thing to do which many artists don't do.

Hey Biz, Amazing band live...Back in my day when you followed your fav artist you had to literally follow them, thats how we got deemed "groupies" (word that refers to a fan of a particular musical group who follows the band around while they are on tour or who attends as many of their public appearances as possible) , just a little fun fact. Journeys my favorite all time band! I saw them 4 times live in the 80's. I'm not sure what you reacted to before but I suggest "Mother, Father" (live in Houston), "Wheel in the Sky" (official video), "Lights" (official video), "Open Arms" (live in Houston), "Patiently" (Midnight Special), "Don't Stop Believing" (live in Houston)....I can go on and on, but that's good for now! Lol

Journey doesn't have a bad song. Anyway you want it, after the fall, chain reaction, why can't this night go on forever, girl can't help it, stay awhile, loving touching squeezing with city of the angels. There's so much more. I could go on and on

This song was written entirely by keyboardist Jonathan Cain, for his then wife Tane. Sadly, they ended up divorcing. Also, this video was taken from Journey's documentary called 'Frontiers And Beyond'

I think a lot of them cheat but there are definitely some that actually stay true. For example, John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin. He was true blue with his wife and they are still happily married today.

This is my favorite Journey song!!!

The lead singer, Steve Perry, brought his girlfriend on the road with them to try to salvage their relationship. The other band members hated it. These guys had a gruelling tour schedule night after night, that Steve said sometimes he would have to reach into tomorrow and borrow from it to reach that last "Faithfully" in this song. He said he would sometimes come up short the next night because of it.
