I was there too, this rocked so much!!!!! I haven’t stopped listening to them since. Finally seeing them live gives you so much more appreciation for how awesome they are, and shit….the longevity….this greatest hits album may be the best album ever!!!!!!

Those guys has their own sound engineers and even Neal is an Expert on sounds considering that he is doing it for 4 decades. Most probably what you aint hear is because of a poor video sound quality. Sounds are diff in live.
Definitely autotune. And not bashing either, just pointing it out. Arnel always tries his very best when performing, but his voice just isn't what it was a decade ago when he first joined the band.
OP is 100% right, Arnel is being tuned live as he goes and it’s not subtle, autotunes job in a live scenario is to pull you to the nearest note in the scale set for the song so if you’re flat enough and nearer to the next lower note it will pull to that, see 2:58 for reference. Also the same happens on a wide vocal vibrato so it’s flicking quickly between the 2 notes in the scale, this could be helped if they slowed down the speed of the correction, maybe they did a few songs in but personally I’d rather hear Arnel without as this makes it look 100% worse than being a touch pitchy.
Very disappointed. Jonathan Cain looks and moves like he is 80 years old. Neal can still play but he looks like an old gangster with those dark glasses. Sorry guys I followed you for MANY ( since the beginning really) years but maybe it's time...
I have followed for many years also, and was at this concert. It rocked and was awesome! Yes JC and NS are over 60 but they perform night after night and still putting on a great show.
Deen Castronovo the SINGING DRUMMER IS BACK in the band to help Arnel Pineda with vocals Arnel Pineda is 53-54 years old now and the Journey Classic Catalogue is beginning to stress his voice out. He's still good, but I hear there are more nights that he's not up to hitting the high notes then there are nights he hits the notes. Journey wants to keep him around as long as possible; so they brought in Deen Castronovo as vocal back up.
@@chuckfriebe843 - Deen Castronovo the SINGING DRUMMER IS BACK to help Arnel Pineda with vocals because the Journey Classic Catalogue is stressing his voice and at 53-54 years old they want to keep Arnel Pineda around awhile longer. Nothing wrong in admitting a singer is getting a little older and the pipes aren't what they used to be.
