I remember those days with Journey also... Steve gave enough of himself musically through the years that he performed with the band to last a lifetime! I saw several live performances in the eighties and will NEVER forget them! I thank him to this day for the happiness that ne brought me in my younger years! Just the mere sound of that voice....
talk about being rude!!! damn steve could answer that question why did he have to be so freakin rude and interrupt him that way he should have just let him speak ;( but isn't steve the cutest =) him and his giggle lol
I seem to remember the Buffalo thing with the Rolling Stones. I think Journey was not well received by the Stones crowd. Steve answered that in a classy way.
Reagan was shot in 1981, this video was probably shot the Snyder was told his show was cancelled. He had to do 4-5 more shows after being told he was out
@BettySantoro Yeah, while not a founding member, he was the one member who was able to catapault them to commercial success, and who they couldn't survive without and have anyone care to listen to them. Even now, if the singer can't sound a bit like Steve, they can't sell records. Problem is, without his songwriting ability, there isn't the 'spark' that could ever make the songs endure for 30 years. Cain is too 'new agey' and Schon doesn't seem to have the lyrical ability.
I was wondering the same thing. Can we find out the date of the interview? If so, Wikipedia should tell us what happened. Somewhere around 1980 / 1981. Might have to do with the Iran Hostage Crisis, perhaps. I can't recall anything else major around then.
Because if Ross didn't go Randy Jackson would've never had his fifteen minutes of fame that he brings up EVERYTIME someone from Idol sings a Journey tune.
I don't think Tom was rude. That is just "Tom". I assume the folks that thought he was rude never watched him on a regular basis. Great interview. I enjoyed it. Thanks Perryfan4ever.
