MANNN..….Imagine the series of concerts every year for 15 years is pretty amazing with his age and how he executed those powerful and hard notes/songs, he still perform and deliver the awesome entertainment for the crowds, is so impressive, Arnel still kickass
Let's face it, anyone who tried to fill Perrys shoes wound up having vocal problems....including Perry himself. Arnel has done as well as anyone else. The songs that Perry/Schon/Cain wrote were challenges for Perry to conquer and he did so with style. Anyone who can keep singing these songs for years earns much respect from most Journey lovers.
Arnel pineda has lasted longer than any other singer with journey, since 2008. Singing these grueling sets night after night, and he has amazing range and very versatile. He has 10 times more durability than Steve Perry ever had. This man has made this band alot of money for a very long time, along with giving people amazing shows. You people are crazy, this guy is a top notch vocalist, world class
From Texas. It’s like a cage full of fun loving kittens all wrapped up In one guy. Full of energy and so much fun to watch. Then you have that beautiful voice, not quite the same as before all the wear and tear but still beautiful.
No matter how many times I hear Arnel sing, I can’t get past how phenomenally he fronts this band now. Growing up with Journey through the 70s and 80s being one of my favorite bands, I was devastated when Steve Perry left. I thought it was over. Especially considering how ridiculously elite/unique Steve Perry was. Based purely on his vocals, he’s arguably a top 10 front man in rock history. So to find someone else to cover a band like this who is just as good as Steve Perry in his prime is mind-boggling to me.
steve cannot hit those notes staying alive for 15 years night after night. give arnel the credit for putting up a great show everytime. its about the experience and passion he gives, no frontman can duplicate that and sustain his voice in this grueling sets. why just be happy and thankful there is still a journey band alive.
One of my top five favorites and the opening song in the Freedom Tour. And This song "Only the Young "is so uplifting the upbeat melody is so positively inspiring. Second song is Stone in Love. Them the most downloaded song as the third song is a new thing. Turns the audience into engagement and being fired up early in the setlist. It draws the audience into more intimacy and connection with the band ❣️❣️❣️

I lived through SP years-- have seen SP on Concerts--of course, he's a legendary one---BUT since SP left the band- for 3 decades----I move on---- now, I support and admire AP! Journey's song legacy moves on with AP help !! I agree with N Schon when he took AP as their replacement -- such a blessing,!! ---AP brought true and NEW life back to the band that was certain floundering when SP left !! **** When it comes to LIVE Concerts of Journey-- I have to go for Arnel Pineda's 100 % !! AP totally rocks the hell out of crowds with his stage presence and energy and has that goosebumps power ballad performances each time !! !! He's been loved also by the young generation -- all over the world where he performed Journey LIVE Concerts !! Talking about vocal struggling at times by some bashers out there--- Of course, it can happen in LIVE Concerts-- we are talking about LIVE Concerts here!!!!- - It happens to some rock Concerts that I saw on LIVE Tour Concerts such as Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, Steve Tyler--- their Concerts are so rigorous and brutal--including Journey! ----there are many factors that can cause it, illness, sudden change of weather, etc(BTW--they are also humans, NOT robots !)..-- BUT that does not mean that you don't have a great time on LIVE !! On the contrary--Their performances are always amazing !! +++++, For those people who only saw videos of LIVE Concerts-- they should try watching Journey's LIVE Concert with AP-- it's the real deal !! - incredible performance each time !! Journey rocks !! ############ Note; Any lines that may appear above my comments is NOT my intention, I just have had issues with my computer lately..
They used to do that a lot back when Arnel first joined, "Never Walk Away" was a killer opener and one of their best songs and should seriously still be played live frequently. I'd swap out "Be Good to Yourself" in a heartbeat.

Arnel’s voice is amazing in his tone and emotion. However, he is a bit flat in the higher notes. They should drop the key at least 1/2 step down. Neal, is amazing. Can’t distinguish his notes and he burns in his speed runs. Deen is amazing and can all the songs.
Exactly, you're completely right! However, I'm pretty sure it is already a half step lower than on the record. I don't think they want to drop it any more than that. On the other hand, Arnel is 54 and has been doing this for 15 years now (wich is incredible by itself) and it has taken it's toll on his voice. Journey has some of the hardest songs in rock to sing and doing it night after night for that long will tire out anybody's voice. I'm impressed he has lasted this long at all.
Man. The band is playing live. It's not gonna be perfect. I think they sound great. I cannot think of a singer that sings as well as Steve Perry. But arnell is close. That's good enough for me.
Hey! I’m going to the concert Wednesday but I’m sensitive to loud noises. I’m just wondering did they shoot off any fireworks or anything like that during the show?
The band is outstanding!! I agree that Arnel's tone is flat!! He can hit some of the notes, sometimes. I wonder what Steve Perry thinks about it!! Love Neal's guitar 🎸
Great band but now a days a good to decent pair of tickets, parking, shirts maybe a snack or beer or two will cost you 800 easily..... plus a baby sitter of you have kids. I just cannot justify these costs now a days. Nothing against journey. All bands are doing it.

he even sings every night 😂 40 concert's he not even rest at least 3 days more!!!! If you see the schedule concerts of Journey it's killing the vocal cord of AP he not the position to complain because he loves singing with his brothers for 15 years.. he is already 52 years old... If you watched the past concerts of AP he is amazing.. don't watch the video and say something harsh to Arnel just enjoy watching this amazing video or else go somewhere else!!!!we loved Journey and the rest of the Band!!! Love you ARNEL PINEDA💕
