Allmendhubel (6,339 ft) is a hill above Mürren, overlooking the valley of Lauterbrunnen in the canton of Bern. The view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau spreads out in front of the visitors, with the Bernese Alps and their glaciers stretching out beside it.
As I already mentioned that Allmendhubel is located above Mürren. So, to reach Allmendhubel, first you have to reach Mürren. From Lauterbrunnen, take the cableway to Grütschalp and then change to the narrow gauge train to "Mürren BLM".
Or take a bus from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg, there you can take the cableway up to Mürren, with a change in Gimmelwald. The cable car station, called "Mürren (Schilthornbahn)". From Mürren a funicular railway takes you up to to Allmendhubel in just 4 minutes. The funicular operates in summer from mid-June to mid-October. The funicular runs every 20 minutes.
In summer the Allmendhubel is a paradise for families with children. There is an alpine playground with an exciting Flower Labyrinth. The large playground on the Allmendhubel takes you into a fantastic world of giant alpine flowers, grasses, and oversized insects.
