I'll never forget the day I watched Misha's video announcing he was going to be working for Hill and how excited he was about the new helicopter. It's been great watching you may progress on what might seem like an impossible vision come to fruition. Can't wait to see the first test flights!

Absolutely amazing, you have achieved so much in a short time and shown what dedicated and creative engineers and crafts people can do. I can't wait to see one fly. When do you start commissioning and test runs?

I’ve been following the progress on the HX50 since the beginning and it does, indeed, looks very impressive. I’m looking at the prospect of using the HX50 for a helicopter tour company here in Hawaii. I’m mainly interested in it’s safety features and fuel economy. 🤙🏻

As you probably know you'll need the HC50 (certified version) if planning to carry out a charter / tour operation, the HX50 model is aimed for private pilot/ownership.

@@johnlds1965I don’t really understand the difference. The HX50 is clearly FAR27 or CS27 category. It is not an ultralight or similar. It’s too complex for a kit and experimental category. So it must be certified by aviation authority. CAAC in UK, EASA in EU, FAA in US. Or is there some other “trick”?

@@sego001 Excellent question!

@@sego001 - As per website - "Our Dual Role Approval Model allows us to best serve the needs of both distinctly different userbases with two variants of the same aircraft. HX50 serves private owners while HC50 focuses on commercial users. Both aircraft are essentially identical, each meeting the latest EASA and FAA certification standards for small/normal category rotorcraft and both entirely factory built in our world-class UK aerospace manufacturing facility. HX50 however is not sold with a type certificate. Instead, it receives an initial type approval from the UK CAA to the latest certification standards of EASA CS-27, meets FAA Part 27 and is provided to customers with an amateur-built airworthiness approval. Each aircraft is factory constructed during a two-week fully supported build course in the UK."

@@johnlds1965 Didn't know that a Type Approval is a possible option for an aircraft or helicopter. The turbine engine will also be only type approved? I think without a Type Certificate it will be very difficult to operate the rotorcraft. I could image that planty of airports and heliports will not allow operation of a rotorcraft without proper TC. How is the insurance managed?

Has anyone seen one of these actually in flight yet?

They have not flown, engines have not had the first rotation yet, now the blades, transmission, etc. No flight testing for any component of the helicopter, including all of the software. Someone should set up a site where you can bet either for or against if there will be production deliveries in 2025.

Given they have no working engine, rotors, gearbox, or tail rotor... and no factory yet, there is not a hope in hell of them delivering any aircraft before 2027
