Technically managed to release this in february B)
With the size of this project, the holidays, and the intro I put together, It took a while longer than intended for this to come out.

Hard to say you've outdone yourself when I love your older conversions so much, but there's a special type of magic to blocks of converted miniatures, like a narrative spun in many little segments.

Searched for 1997 Chaos Warriors while researching for my collection, and came across this video. Glad I watched the whole thing. This is such a cool project to be able to watch. I am starting a Chaos Sorceror on Dragon myself, so I'm going to be pleased as punch to see this whole thing. I really like this painting style, your editing, presentation, and this whole video was really fun. I didn't even notice the time. Please keep it up. You're doing such a great job. Sub'd.

Oil painting is so much fun glad to see you embracing it more :) I agree totally about how chill it is compared to acrylics with the drying time and the lack of time pressure. Helps me a lot as I can only hobby in 15-30 minute chunks.

I'm absolutely blown away by this unit! Helbrass is one of my favorite chaos characters from the lore but I'm a stickler for sticking to lore to a point, call it my character fault. But since you are not chained to the same principles you have created a masterpiece and its refreshing to see how creative others can be thinking outside the box so to speak. I await to see what else you create to add to this army! :D

You really made the most of using unit fillers to tell the story of the unit, the chaos warrior being chiseled out of stone mid-battle is gonna be stuck in my head for a long time.

absolutely gorgeous miniatures. That sculptor idea is so evocative. Have they been received well at your local game store? I'm in awe with how you've managed to find a fresh take on minis that to me, used to feel so entrenched in the "official" lore and style. There's nobody out there doing it like you are. This is true art, mate 😊

I also don't understand why those hunchback guy aren't popular. But my reasoning is that they didn't last that long before they got phased for the gloomy cloak dudes. If you were around that time you would see how many players even resorted to convert these to stand straighter so impressed they were with the cloak guys. They are also not popular with older folks because the metal chaos warriors are vastly more interesting for them. Tbh the only time I ever seen those guys on a table they were used for building black orcs.

8:00 I, too, fell in love with the concept of Unit Fillers basically from the moment I learned about them. It's such a cool idea, and it's a shame the practice didn't carry over into Age of Sigmar. (I contend you CAN make Unit Fillers on round bases. You just need to glue 3 or 4 regular round bases together, with something rigid on top to keep them all together, like craft sticks or styrene rods. That way, you have an irregularly shaped base on which to build dioramas, that can still move around in a "skirmish" style unit.)
