I'll take a hit on the visuals any day if it means I get a handheld version of a game I like and that's just straight up genius beating the outer worlds to the punch with the early shadow drop.

I've never heard of this title before seeing this video. It is right up my street. and with the co op it appeals to me hugely. I will be checking this one out!

Seen this randomly pop up on the eshop and it really is tempting me was hoping for a solid 30fps but also glad they didn't drop the resolution down to a point it was a blurry mess. The offbeat humour is right up my alley too and love a game that can actually make you laugh while you play. I was considering picking up Void Bastards then this dropped at the same price now I am split.

did it get better or had updates?

I have been wondering if we will ever get No Man's Sky on Switch? Also the ads in this game are hilarious! lol

Late to the party. Has performance been improved since release?

Surprised to see this on the Switch, had no idea it was coming. Love the humor I've seen so far in the game.

if they can hone in on the FPS and clean it up this will be a really slick looking game.

Be still my beating wallet, this last few weeks have seen some quality releases sneak out on the sly and this is another. Hanging on for the physical release in June and hopefully it will be tweaked up a bit by then. Going strong for the wonderful 100k subs - more power to you all !!

Damn, I've been finding out lately that most of the games I want to play on pc are also available for the switch, such as wrc, race the future, immortals fenyx rising and more. It's so cool to see the switch getting so many ports!

never expect the same level of detail as other platforms .. the most important is gameplay, smooth frame rate, and good visuals

I started this last week on Xbox and I am really enjoying it. I hope it does well on Switch, it certainly has an almost Metroid Prime feel about it in places so it might sit well with alot of Nintendo fans.

I had no clue this was coming to Switch! so glad I slept on picking up the PC version... but I'm probably going to wait for them to (hopefully) patch in some improvements to that framerate.

It's good to see games like this ported. I'd like to see Neir Automata, Subnautica, No Mans Sky or Slime Rancher but anythings good. What games is the Switch currently expecting for ports and what does everyone want?

This is definitely a good game. There just some tweaks to be done. I would wait for the update before I go back here. Also, can anyone link me to a legit Nintendo Switch screw driver? I had bought a few fake ones and I am really fed up.

I'm shocked this came out yesterday, considering I was expecting a June 30th release along with the physical. I wonder if the physical is also $30. Also, I loved the frames per second counter on the upper left. You could do a video with that counter to let us know the frame rate for certain games. I thought it was a nice touch. Saw a pre-order for this from simply games for £23. At that price this looks like a great pick up. Currently playing the outer worlds on PS4 and this looks like a nice but different continuation

To mix up the graphics with real life footage is an artistically interesting decision, but I'm afraid it would pull me out of the game. How did you get into this while playing? Maybe that's too much focus on escape on my side, but that's what I like most about sci-fi and games.

How does the frame rate compare to Void Bastards? That game struggles to maintain its FPS, but I absolutely love it. Is it a similar situation with this one? Also, congrats on almost 100K! You guys deserve every single sub.

How well does this run in 2023 ?

I'm waiting on the physical copy to come out, I'm really excited about this one. I've been wanting a No Man's Sky/Subnautica type game on the Switch & this looks absolutely perfect. Can't wait to play it.

I've been wanting to play this game for a while. It looks really interesting to me.

I like these videos, never usually fussed about tech other than frame rates usually, but you always make it entertaining. Hope you do one for Borderlands!

I’m not crying...you are! I was interested in this so thanks a bunch! Though I just setup my Xbox One again and apparently it’s on Game Pass that I got for $1....hah so guess I’ll check it out on there! It’s a shame about the performance hopefully they can fix it up with a patch. It does get a bit tiresome though - ideally games would be released in a much better state to begin with.

If anyone is wondering about the actual game itself, I highly recommend it. It's ACTUALLY funny (unlike Borderlands), and it itself is fun.

Thanks for this timely review. I was curious about Journey to the Savage Planet on Switch but no gyro controls means no deal. I'd much rather have good gyro controls than a heavy handed aimbot to make up for "I can't hit a damn thing" dual analog. Jeez, did the developer get a chance to check out Ion Fury on Switch or Metro? The gyro controls in those games are awesome. Talk about a missed opportunity.

Really interested in the game and I want to give it a try. However, the gameplay does seem a bit too slow for me. I’m more used to run and gun type games. What’s your overall opinion on the gameplay so far?

With Borderlands on the horizon, this is needs to hit a steady 30 to compete. That said, we have no idea how smooth Borderlands Trilogy will run till we get reviews/previews, so there's that .

25 FPS on console is unacceptable. Why isn't Nintendo blocking the release until the publisher fixes this issue?

I love when developers take special care with their game's dialog and the little things like that scene where you poked that alien's eye and the character freaked out at the goop on his fingers. Awesome review. I have this game on another platform. Performance isnt brilliant on platform either. But its a fair priced game at £25 mid tier price for a mid tier game. I havent played it much and might have a pop at it again some time. Its .. ok ? Deffo better in multiplayer for me. Good humour too. I love NMS too , love sci fi. Might pick it up on switch as i would deffo play it more on this platform.

I saw gameplay for the PS4 Verizon. The aesthetics look very colorful and the way you can make certain little creatures fly by kicking them is both cute and cruel at the same time 😂

Welp, at least it's light years better than Bloodstained lol. Could be an interesting one for your series on games after being patched but seems it runs well enough you might not put it on there. Will be interesting to see how it looks after patches though.
