I absolutely loved your Decades cover from a few years ago. Honestly, I can never get enough of the synths in this track-Bernie nailed it and so do you! It would be a dream to hear you recreate your old cover of Decades in studio quality!
Everything with ARP on it is just great, I used to have a friend who had an ARP and I was playing with it and suddenly he freaked out and asked what I did. I thought I did something wrong but he said he never got the sound I randomly dialed in. Such amazing synths 👌🏼
That happened to me , A guy came with juno 106 to repair those faulty filters , while he was waiting i said pop on my synths if you want , he did something by mixing synth with Strings and got a real good sound , sometimes you cant see the wood for the Trees , just need that new eye on things sometimes
thx. I'll havta make do with the VST versions for now. Dont fancy paying £4K for an OMNI. The VST is surprisingly good. I used to have a Quadra like your good self... back in the 90s. Sold it coz 2 of the sections weren't working. Ppl saying they were hard/costly/impossible to repair due to circuits being resin embedded. But with 30yrs hindsight, thats obviously bull sheet.
@@deegee8645 shame the filter board in Quadra and Omni are not in Resin , where have you seen Omnis for 4000 ??? I know on reverb they try get 1700 , ive just sold this Omni a hour ago for 800 , im a realist and dont expect silly prices , plus this one is tatty , has rust damage , but is fully serviced etc , yeah these vsts are really impressive , i just dont get on with laptops at all , im jinxed with them , and if im being honest at 60 im struggling learning it all ,
@@TheArpomni2 my bad... just scanned the google ads ad theres a £4K CS80 snuck in amongst them. Theres a couple near £2.5 -£3K. Just marvelling at the £8K Quadra price!.. Know what ya mean bout the laptops. They can be infuriating. Im 60 too, but ive been computing since Atari in 1989, so im ok with em.
@@deegee8645 yeah mental isnt it , got my first Quadra for £150 back in 93 , just needed new memory batterys , few j wires , one dry joint on circuit , and it was up and running , back then i was getting Omnis for 100 , pro solists , pro dgx for 50 , all needed repair , but ecen broken now , Quadras etc go for silly money , my last quadra i serviced and restored , i got 4500 for it , i thought was fair to me , i spent a week off work rebuilding it , 35 sliders stripped down etc etc ,
Great stuff. Reminds me of John Shuttleworth :) you could play owt on those vintage stringers and it would have atmospherics. Movement is the best NewOrder LP, contrary to popular opinion.. whats your drum machine youre using?
Wow your a lucky Man , alot of us musicians are struggling to work out how he used his Marshall Time Modulator , nobody ive seen so far has worked out how he used his with the Arp Omni 2 to get that choral sound , if you look up SynthMania s channel here , he has one an even after over 5 years of having one , still cant get it , im sure he would love to hear from you ,
Yes SynthManis wanted to interview me a few years back. Most of the techneques we used were based in Phill Spector ideas but we dident have time limits, we worked in Kubrick Time@@TheArpomni2
