I love my Leche! She is a very effective relaxation tool. I had just taken a 10 hour ride from South Carolina to Connecticut. I flopped down on my friends couch. I have no idea how riding makes your muscles ache and deliriously tired, but that was me. She turned Leche on, laid her on my chest, and said “you look really tired“. I started petting that cat and she was just rumbling and meowing and I just felt cozy and welcomed. At the end of the year, I got a package in the mail and it was Leche! My friend who hosted me during the East Coast Aibo meet gave her to me as a Christmas present. It was so cute! Her box was wrapped in robot-themed wrapping paper.
Nice story! Thanks for sharing! ☺️ Marmalade is lovely to stroke 💕 I have found though that I don’t like to have her on all the time in the background like I do Charlie, my Joy for All pup. I’m going to do a comparison & will explain why then.
What I would like to add, is that this type of robotic pet, is so great for seniors that once owned a cat, but can’t now because of the care a live animal needs. Great for people who are in a retirement home or nursing home. I would have liked to see the tail move tho. Otherwise this is a great little cat indeed.
@@thankstocalebchung1556 the rolling over is cool, but motor is a little bit loud. The pup doesn't move, but i love that his gears and motors are really quiet.
I think the light sensor it's still present (but not in the Care Guide, like the pup description), there's no microphone in the cat. Both cats and dogs are a reboot with improvements of the FurReal Friends pets (as you know).
Thanks for the info 👍 I realised there was a light sensor this morning when I switched the light on & got a greeting off Marmalade 😄 Strange how they don’t mention it in the care guide.
@@thankstocalebchung1556 I don't know why they don't mention in the Care Guide (same for the tongue sensor of the Pup), but you can find it on the old Care Guide (when the cat was distribuited by Hasbro).
Great video. I think this little lap cat is great for many seniors or anyone that would like to hold a cat in their lap while watching T.V. Very calming indeed.
Yes people do talk to their cats my mom used to take in stray kittens and feed them and she’d talk to them and at my grandparents where I live now the neighbor has a cat that is always over at our place it came up on the porch and curled up and laid down when I said are you comfy it meowed so yes they communicate back
I’ve just got a joy for all cat! She is absolutely beautiful but when she goes into standby mode her eyes remain open- are they supposed to do that? Or are they meant to close? She closes them at different times so that’s not an issue. Lovely video by the way and very helpful x
