Saw the Blue version of this figure pop up again on Amazon (U.S.A.) today 😳 just had to order it, it's coming from Beijing. 😒$95 hope it's worth it. This Blue Mecha should go well with the upcoming Blue JOYTOY Warhammer figures. 😉
Thank you for showing us your video of the free man mech figure because of your review I’m buying my copy this Wednesday the 3rd 2021 I want the blue mecha!
@@AwesomeActionToys I recently got a cheap chap mei Soldier Force Mech planning to do some custom work on it like kitbashing and stuff or add some additional articulation if its possible
hey dude odd question. I'm trying to see if I can fit a certain chibi figure inside of this. Can you please give me the measurements of the cockpit, from the flat part of the seat (where their butt sits) to the top of the cockpit? Depth, width and height.. it'd be a massive help, before I order one and find out it's too small
@@AwesomeActionToys it's a Nendoroid, by Good Smile Company, not sure if you're familiar. Their bodies are small but they have huge heads lol, their body is only 1.5" wide and 2" tall but their head is another 2" tall, 1.75" wide and about 1.5" deep. As long as I can get it in there and close the hatch I'll be happy. And they can be put in a sitting position so it'll be about 3.4-3.5" sitting
Hi,how does the feel and quality compare with acid rain speeder mk2 or stronghold.the paint apps etc?it looks very nice, but from what I can see it dosent look as nicely painted and they look a little cheaper.what are they like in person?i know it's very good, but just want to know if it's up there with acid rain mechs?thanks
Awesome Action Toys ok thanks,so it's very good but not quite as good as acid rain?there very nice,I only display them now and then, change pose.they just seem to look a little cheaper, but can't really tell.even the figures look very good, but the hand sculpts etc don't seem as good as acid rain.im on the fence.as I'm on a budget.it seems acid rain seems a little more grounded and better quality overall with better QC.
Wow. Cool piece. Does it have any diecast or is it all plastic? How is the quality of the plastic and can you foresee any joints loosening over time? Or parts snapping off if accidentally handled incorrectly (I snapped off both of Fox Hunter B's hip pouches when manipulating her legs to sit)? Is this the type of collectible where one should be extra careful and cautious handling (like handling a plastic model) or does it feel more durable? I'm still debating on whether to preorder the Navy Blue version (which I think will look great with the ~1/18 scale Wei Jiang Squeeks). 1/18 is not a scale I would get into with a few exceptions like this. I don't have much (just 4 female figures from Joy Toy and Acid Rain). Personally, I'm more into 1/6 and 1/12 scales for figures. This piece is also quite pricey, but not as bad considering other collectibles out there and this mech really caught my eye. Also, regarding the legs, it's a chicken legged mech. So it's not meant to stand up straight or articulate like a normal human knee. That's why the knee bends in that fashion (if you watched the Star Wars prequels, think of General Grievous; he's got chicken legs). LOL TIA and appreciate the review.
No Diecast parts, it's all plastic. The only joints that are likely to have problems are the fingers and wrists. The rest are very firm and sturdy feeling. The legs are a double knee joint (but I couldn't see that when I first tired to bend them) which indicates more of an upright human leg mechanism. It's s great centrepiece for sure
How does the plastic and joints feel? Some of the reviews for previous Joy Toys mechs make the plastic seem very thin, more like a model kit then an action figure
@@AwesomeActionToys I know! I just wanted to know if it was just me who thought so. The helmets for some of the figures (Blue Falcon) look comparable to the Titanfall pilot helmet.
This looks like an awesome, ahem, toy. You should really think about giving everyone a close up view of all of the smaller parts, if possible. The mech review was good. In the future, it would be cool if you use Google Translate app to translate language on instructions in the beginning. Good review overall!!!!!
Mine can hardly hold the weapon at all. The fingers are too weak. There is a peg hole in the hand for guns etc., but the gun grip doesn't have a peg. The left hand falls off all the time. Do yourself a favour and pass on this frustrating mess.
The peg is definitely used to anchor the rifle, I have a few of the 1/24 robots and they have the same set up, one of them has pegs with loops to add grenades to it. The diaper crouch piece sucks, I might have use a dremel to trim it back a little
I have a few oritoy, just stronghold and speeder mk2.and about 10 figures.they fit in realy well with threea 1/12 wwrp.not the humane just the robots go very well
@@AwesomeActionToys random question: bigbadtoystore says this dark source line requires assembly and glue. What all needs to be glued on these figures/line? Thanks!
Good review. I'm waiting for my mech in the mail. I don't like the hands on joy toy mechs. They come out too easily. Ori toy handles that way better. I'll enjoy adding this mech to my collection, but it doesn't compare to my acid rain stronghold.
