@@jacquelinethompson9153 Blessings and love to you Jacqueline! Congratulations 🎉 to your Daughter on her new marriage! So strange you made this exact comment as my sister and I both ended up in tragic endings of marriage. Her husband passed to Heaven while mine was beyond abusive to the point I’ve no contact with two of my now grown boys. I always thought I would be saying that I’m married for 50 years and watching my Grandchildren play and just have the only one thing I wanted. A beautiful, healthy marriage. God HAS to be present and for most in a marriage. To love unconditionally and to climb the mountains together. I’m so grateful my dream came true, I wished I would have slept longer..... God is thee only way. In Jesus Christ name. Amen!🌹

@@winniebella684 Blessed morning, God is the source of any good relationship, whether marriage, family, friends, coworkers and just people we meet in our every day life. So much broken family relationship in the world, my prayer is that God will help us to bring peace and love in families. I am starting with myself, reaching out to family members I have not spoken to for years, it is so good. Because of me doing that and praying, other family members reach out to each other. To God be the glory, great things He has done. Love conquers all.

I started listening to you sometime around 1995. I hope one day in heaven you will know how much your openness about your life and marriage has helped me. I loved God but I was a mess. You taught me how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit so God could change me right in the middle of the circumstances I was in. I kept trying to change my husband and my son to make me happy and found out that God was trying to change me. I have asked God to let me have time with you in heaven so that I could thank you in person for your obedience to let God change you and your willingness to share that on cassette tapes. You have no idea what your teaching meant to me. I will always be grateful to you for being so real. Thank you.

She is true to herself, and true to everyone else, no matter who she is talking to. Her and Dave have really turned out to be a perfect testimony of how God works peace and unity into a marriage. I enjoyed every minute of this! BUT Now, I have to mention the end!!, But, warning ⚠️ what you read next, could be a spoiler alert, if you haven't watched the ending yet!... Omgoodness!! Wow what a revelation thank You Holy Spirit. Ephesian 5 vs 22 to 28 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

54 years is a long time to stay with each other with everything that went on in their marriage. I was standing up listening to this but sat down because I was intrigued by the discussion. Joyce appears to be so humble by her past experiences and realizes that Dave has been a true model and stabilizer in their 54 year relationship. May God continue to use their testimony to help others. "Stop looking for reasons to get divorce and start looking for reasons to stay together." Joyce Meyers.

God bless Joyce for her much needed transparency regarding abuse and how it make ppl act in romantic relationships. I think it’s harder when the husband is the one with rejection and rage issues because the wife can feel unsafe, and men tend to isolate and not seek help or refuse counseling. Holy Spirit can do miracles, but both parties need to be willing. 🙏🙏

I absolutely LOVE every podcast...but I admit that when I saw this one...my heart sunk and I thought "Oh no." 🙁 But I forced myself to watch it...facing the pain and fear...amd I'm glad that I did. 🙏 I left my husband last year, several months after he was arrested for domestic violence. I did NOT want to give up...but after years of him getting worse...and the not only physical but emotional abuse was just horrible. We went to 3 different Pastors for help, paid lots for marriage counseling, etc. Nothing worked. The night he was arrested...and months after of him not even apologizing or taking responsibility...I knew. God told me it was time to leave. I say this because I did not just "give up". I gave everything and in the end GOD was the one to lead me out. I ended up driving across country with my pets and only what I could fit in my car. I was going home to where my real family was. I ended up buying my first house and now live happily on my own. It's incredible to be free...but there are still moments I feel the pain of the "failure" of my marriage. Should I have stayed? Should I have just tried harder to make it work even if it killed me? I still question these things...yet every time that I do...the Holy Spirit whispers to me... "It's OK. It was me. This was meant to be." Like Jai...I think of marriage now and wonder if I can trust again...amd even of I believe in marriage anymore...but I do. I look back and saw the red flags with my ex...yet continued on with him. Now though...I realize JESUS is my all and I happily say that if God wants me single for the rest of life...I gladly except that. And if God has a man for me to marry...then it has to be ordained only by Him...and I will look for the good signs this time and not ignore the bad (lies, porn addiction, emotional abuse, etc.) Thank you ladies for all that you do. Ginger - keep being strong and awesome. Jai - you are so beautiful and I have no doubt amazing things are coming your way. You WILL have the last laugh with your ex...trust me. And Erin - good for you for staying...butbif he keeps making the same mistakes that hurt you...let go. None of you are defined by a man. You are all amazing. God bless!!! 🌷🙂🌳🙏

I was married to an alcoholic that verbally abused me. Wanted to control me. After a while he got physical. He said he was going to kill me if I didn't leave. He left me ,he wanted the divorce. After the divorce I needed time to heal. I was a part of a home work group call International leadership development. My upline gave me Joyce Meyer tapes. I studied the word of God.I lived alone. Then I needed a plumber. He asked me out. Now we're married.we have daughter she got married 2yrs ago and now I have a grand daughter. Thank you God. Praise the lord 🙌. Hugs.

I was divorced after 4 months of marriage. I'm so thankful that they included that topic because so many people and churches avoid it. I prayed and asked God to help me during my marriage because I desperately did not want a divorce and add to the statistic. The thing was, I was being also being abused and God answered and helped me by allowing a divorce. My ex wanted and served me the divorce but had paid for it. I kept the car, apartment, etc. I was so bitter and angry and hurt after everything I went through. God used what I went through to teach me how to love myself and to learn forgiveness. He taught me how dangerous holding onto hatred was. All in all, I'm thankful He carried me through it but I still struggle. My worth and value did not diminish after my divorce and I'm having to hold on to that.

This is the man ( Joyce's husband Dave )I respected a lot because in a lot of ways I think he has helped shaped Mama Joyce to become the person she is today! I am grateful to Papa Dave for being who is, for being a very authentic person, I guess it's his cool and calm nature that complements Joyce's personality. They are the perfectly imperfect couple in a sense but wow really they are married for 54 years , congrats 🙌🙌

Thank you so much for sharing today. My husband and I have recently gone thru a rough patch and one thing I have learned is to empty my wheelbarrow every day. I think women more than men tend to fill their wheelbarrows with the small petty things and if we don’t work to keep the wheelbarrow empty it will just continue to fill with small things that are not important until one day it will tip over. We just celebrated 24 years and are stronger today than we have ever been.

The Lord really amazes me! He made 2 very special men that i know of. Dave Myers to care for Joyce and her emotional needs and Ken Tada to love and care for Joni Eariksons physical needs.. The Lord knew what kind of help these ladies needed. Of course, we are nothing without the Lord, but, these men stood by Joyce and Joni. We need more men like these.

Love this! My husband and I just celebrated 18 years of marriage (and I am sure if you ask anyone back then they would have given us 2 years tops). We have so much going on between Thanksgiving through Mid-January that by the time it's all over I just need a tiny break. My husband had his last military drill last weekend (retiring after 22 years of service). He wasn't sure if he would be gone the full weekend or not. I was so happy to get a text Saturday saying "I'm done here, heading home." Yay! He walks through the side door as I am busy painting my nails and says "Happy Anniversary". Yeah I know I looked like a deer in headlights! Hmmmm. What day is it? What is the date today. To which I said "Happy Anniversary to you too babe!" He gets me every time. I can't seem to ever remember our anniversary and he knows it! Lol. I am so thankful we got a good chuckle out it!
